A sharp sound cut through the air. Felix tilted his head as six figures emerged and surrounded

him.

Interestingly, these six wore combat suits similar to the shadowstalker who had committed suicide at his home last night. But they were in purple instead of black. "Shadowstalkers? So Astoria is involved in this, huh?" Reece wasted no time, pointing his finger. "Kill him!"

Just as the six shadowstalkers prepared to move, Felix suddenly clapped his hands together. He then released a shockwave that rippled outward.

Bodies hit the floor one after another. The six shadowstalkers and all the guards who had rushed in were down in an instant, except for Reece. This was just what could be seen here. Throughout the facility, everyone had also been knocked unconscious.

As a master of the Blood Realm's initial stage, dealing with these people was child's play for Felix. "I can't wait for the headquarters to interrogate you. We'll start now."

Xena sighed in relief. Even Dragon Knights did not have the right to kill at will.

"I'll let you handle the rest. This seems to be some kind of laboratory, but I'm not sure what they do. These people refused to tell me anything. I'll send you my mission report," Felix said.

While watching Felix leave, Xena felt something was off but couldn't pinpoint what. She could only begin the cleanup operation.

At the village entrance where they had parked, Hope rushed to meet Felix. "Felix, are you alright?"

"I'm fine. The team's here. You should go back with Lady Summers. I'll drive myself.'

Hope replied with a soft "okay" as she watched his car disappear.

As Felix droye, he could not shake what Reece had revealed. The cave was indeed a laboratory that had been operating for three years. It was used to conduct human experiments on Dragonian citizens. They had operatives across the country using seemingly legal means to supply test subjects.

Reece was not high-ranking enough to know what kind of monsters or genetic modifications they were trying to create, but he did provide one crucial piece of intelligence the operation was funded and run by the Steele family of Astoria. They were immensely powerful and wealthy.

Unfortunately, this couldn't be proven. The shadowstalkers were trained from childhood not to reveal anything even if they survived suicides. Reece's testimony alone would not be enough to prove the Steele family's crimes.
