On a rainy night, a coaster bus cruised down the provincial highway. From the outside, all passengers appeared to be sleeping, creating a stark contrast with the pounding rain.

Felix was among them, but he was the only one with open eyes. Earlier at the clinic, he had realized that to catch a lion, one had to enter its den. After questioning Tom, he learned that Tom had scheduled a transport for tonight, so he infiltrated the group. Tom was driving, still with a silver needle embedded in him-though a different one. This served two purposes: avoiding suspicion and making sure Tom understood that his relief was still in Felix's hands.

The new needle would only cause agony once in a day when urinating. While this lifted most of his nightmare, his fate remained in Felix's control. So, he would not dare do anything rash.

Before boarding, everyone had been given a bottle of liquid that quickly induced sleep. These people had not shown any fear. After all, they had each received 10,000 dollars in cash and promises of new jobs with monthly salaries starting at the same amount. Behind these lies lurked a horrifying reality none of them suspected.

Shortly after turning off the highway, the bus stopped. Tom glanced back before stepping out.

This was the usual routine. They would reach a fixed location, with Tom leaving in a following car, knowing nothing about the bus' subsequent journey.

Ten minutes later, someone new took the wheel. Instead of returning to the highway, they continued down the dirt road. Felix knew he needed to catch Yadier himself, and anything less would be pointless.

Half an hour passed before the bus stopped again. They were surrounded by dead silence except for the passengers' steady breathing.

"Felix, time to meet your end. Get out!" the driver called coldly before stepping out,

Felix was stunned. He had fallen for Tom's trick. It seemed like Tom had anticipated his move and set a trap.

Meanwhile, Tom stood atop a car a few miles away, fawning as he held a steaming cup of coffee. Beside him stood a short young man who had just lowered his binoculars. "The show's about to begin. Have some coffee to warm up. Well done this time, Tom." Tom carefully offered the coffee. "Mr. Steele, you're too kind. It was your brilliant strategy that predicted Felix's every move. I'm honored to finally meet you in person."

Tom had not lied earlier about never meeting Yadier. This was their first encounter. He had been completely honest, as he worried Felix might have ways to detect deception.

A smile crossed Yadier's face as he gently turned Tom's face. "I do enjoy obedient dogs like you. You Dragonians have quite the aptitude for servitude."

He refused to believe it was for his sake. Would the Steele family really value what they saw as a mere dog so highly? Impossible.
