The Second Act Revenge (Oneida and Jackson) -
The Second Act 128
Chapter 128
Oneida and Edmund were left behind at the end.
"Oneida... Edmund glanced at Oneida, his brow furrowing with a worried expression.
Oneida tugged at the corner of her mouth, revealing a faint smile as if to comfort Edmund, assuring him that everything would be okay. The siblings walked into the hall calmly, without rushing.
The distinguished guest from the Starr Training Camp was already invited by Nathan to the most honorable seat in the hall.
Oneida's eyes narrowed slightly as she stared intently at the "distinguished guest".
To her surprise, it was him.
The person seated there was none other than Curtis.
By his side was a tall man in a well-tailored suit, who appeared to be Curtis' assistant.
The man with silver hair, despite his advanced age, exuded vitality and wisdom, with sharp and discerning eyes.
He wore a polite, faint smile on the corners of his mouth, and his gaze carried a subtle air of authority as he calmly assessed the people in the hall without making any sound.
When his gaze fell upon Oneida, Curtis' expression paused momentarily.
Then, he nodded slightly toward her.
Oneida also gazed at him, maintaining a composed demeanor.
She had encountered this elderly man at the university before.
Little did she know, Curtis actually had a connection with the Starr Training Camp...
"Sir, it's truly our honor to have you come from afar. Your esteemed presence brightens our humble abode," Nathan said with a wide grin, his tone filled with flattery.
Mateo and Janet stood to the side, wearing attentive expressions as well.
Yuliana and the other younger generation members of the family were trying hard to contain their excitement. They clenched their fists and stared intently at Curtis, afraid to miss a single word he uttered.
In contrast, Lucas and his family had indifferent expressions on their faces.
After all, it was Yuliana's glory, and they felt no sense of association with it.
"Sir, what is your name, and how should we address you?" Nathan inquired with a friendly smile as he looked at Curtis.
Curtis politely responded, "My name is Curtis Johnson. Everyone calls me Mr. Johnson, and you may also address me as such."
As soon as the words fell, the entire hall fell silent.
It was so quiet that one could almost hear the sound of a pin dropping.
Then, followed by the sound of inhaling, one after another.
Almost everyone couldn't believe their ears, and their eyes widened in astonishment as if they had just heard some earth-shattering news. "He's actually Curtis Johnson?"
Curtis' prestige and reputation throughout the country needed no further elaboration, and he was also the founder of Starr Training Camp...
Nobody expected that figure of such high stature would personally come to their doorstep.
Nathan and Hazel were excited, their eyes sparkling as if they had reached the pinnacle of their lives.
After all, they had never had a face-to-face conversation with someone as prominent as Curtis before.
Mateo and Janet were also completely taken aback.

Chapter 128
Curtis was someone they couldn't even dare to think of.
"Could it be that Yuli caught Curtis' eye? That's why he showed up in person... it's unbelievably surreal, almost like a dream," Mateo and Janet thought to themselves. Mateo nearly extended his hand to rub his eyes, worried that he might have been mistaken or misheard.
Yuliana froze completely.
Her brothers and sisters were watching her, but she was too overwhelmed to utter a word.
She knew how legendary and powerful Mr. Johnson was,
And now, he was right in front of her.
He actually came in person to invite her to join the Starr 'Training Camp.

"Oh, my goodness!" Yuliana exclaimed in joy within her heart, feeling overwhelmed and almost suffocated with the surprise and happiness.
She suppressed her trembling shoulders, while her heart pounded faster and faster in her chest.
Who would have thought that they would suddenly have such an honor?
On the other side, Lucas' family was also surprised for a moment upon hearing the name Curtis.
But soon, they regained their composure.
The greater Curtis' prestige, the more it accentuated their family's sense of inadequacy.
Yuliana had managed to draw the renowned Curtis to come to her in person, something that would have been impossible for their family.
Hence, they could only watch in silence as others enjoyed the spotlight and the festivities.
Oneida glanced at Curtis, who was nearby.
It turned out that the silver-haired old man she had encountered at the university side gate was Curtis, the founder of Starr Training Camp.
"Why did he suddenly appear in front of me?" Oneida wondered. She believed that it was definitely not a coincidence.
"Mr. Johnson..." Nathan took deep breaths, visibly overwhelmed as if he was about to faint. "How are we worthy... How are we worthy of your personally coming to our place?"
"Indeed, Mr. Johnson, why didn't you give us a heads-up before coming?" Mateo also chimed in eagerly, hoping to make an impression in front of Curtis. "So that we could have made some preparations in advance."
"No worries." Curtis smiled gently, and in his eyes, weathered by wind and frost, an inexplicable emotion surged. "Because there is a talent in your family that I truly admire. It's rare for someone to earn my admiration, and when I finally encounter such a person, I must come and meet them myself."
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone involuntarily cast their gazes toward Yuliana.
"Yuli, come over here." The smile on Nathan's face grew even wider as he called Yuliana with the most affectionate tone, waving his hand towards
her.
Yuliana had already become so excited that she felt lightheaded and overwhelmed.
Upon hearing Mr. Johnson's compliment, Yuliana's heart swelled with excitement.
She inhaled deeply and focused on keeping her elegant poise as she approached Curtis step by step.
"Mr. Johnson, this is Yuliana, my most outstanding and proudest granddaughter," Nathan said with a smile, patting Yuliana's shoulder, as he introduced her to Curtis.
Yuliana blushed slightly in response to the compliments.
At this moment, Yuliana felt like she was walking on clouds, feeling surreal and dreamy.
Mateo and Janet both felt relieved and proud when they saw their daughter's achievements.
Yuliana has truly made them proud with her accomplishments.
