The Second Act Revenge (Oneida and Jackson) -
The Second Act 130
Chapter 130
Nathan's gaze shifted back and forth between Curtis, Oneida, and Yuliana. Finally, he continued to speak to Oneida, "Ida, if you want to go to the Starr Training Camp, it wouldn't be excessive to bring a companion to train with you... How about taking Yuli with you for the training camp?"
As Nathan's words were spoken, the expressions of the people present varied greatly.
Yuliana's eyes lit up, and she felt a glimmer of hope reignited in her heart.
As long as she could go to the Starr Training Camp, even if it meant being an accompanying trainer, it didn't matter to her.
She unconsciously clenched her fingers, looking hopefully at Curtis and Oneida.
Oneida's eyes darkened, and she looked coldly at Nathan.
She never expected that, even in this situation, Nathan was still obsessing over Yuliana and trying to obtain some advantages for her.
Oneida was not aware of any previous cases of having accompanying trainers during the Starr Training Camp, but Nathan was truly concerned about Yuliana.
Nathan's comment caught Curtis by surprise.
He cast a meaningful glance at Yuliana, remained silent for a moment, and then spoke coldly, "There is no precedent for bringing accompanying trainers to our Starr Training Camp. Moreover, her level is not sufficient, she is not qualified to enter." Upon hearing Curtis' words, Yuliana's face turned even paler.
It felt like Curtis had publicly humiliated her right then and there.
Curtis had just implied that her abilities were lacking...
Yuliana bit her lip, her tears threatening to spill once again.
She stomped her foot in frustration and hastily turned around, running out of the hall.
"Wait, Yuli..." Nathan frowned as he saw his granddaughter leave in distress, feeling uneasy in his heart.
He didn't believe that Oneida had entered the Starr Training Camp solely based on her abilities.
Perhaps this child was just lucky and caught Curtis' attention...
In Nathan's mind, Yuliana was still the most outstanding granddaughter of the Chaser family.
Hence, he was determined to secure an opportunity for Yuliana.
Much to his dismay, Curtis didn't grant her any opportunity at all.
"Dad..." At this moment, Tatiana seized the opportunity and quickly asked Nathan, "We don't have to give up the mansion in Quakersville anymore, right?" Nathan impatiently gestured with his hand and said in a low voice, "All you're concerned about is that mansion... just live there, no need to give it up!" The mansion was finally preserved.
Mateo's family clenched their fists in anger and frustration, their faces bore unpleasant expressions.
After Curtis and his assistant left, Lucas' family also left the manor.
As everyone sat in the car, the atmosphere was somewhat awkward.
Edmund looked at Oneida with admiration, and a faint smile on his lips. "Oneida, you are so amazing!"
He never expected that his own elder sister would be the one chosen to enter the Starr Training Camp in the end.
Lucas was also pleased.
Although he couldn't comprehend why his seemingly ordinary daughter caught Curtis' attention all of a sudden. However, none of that mattered anymore.

His Ida achieved success, and that alone was enough.
Tatiana, on the other hand, felt a bit awkward.
She had never seen eye to eye with Oneida, and during the time Oneida had returned to Jeahron, Tatiana intentionally avoided her.
But little did Tatiana expect that Oneida would unexpectedly display such competence...
She wondered if she had underestimated Oneida.

Tatiana's emotions fluctuated as she secretly glanced at Oneida, but she
didn't
say anything.
As for Jennifer, she hadn't said anything since just now.
She bit her lip in silence, and her complexion paled.
"Oneida..." Jennifer silently recited the name in her heart.
Although she didn't want to admit it, it turned out that Oneida was indeed better than she thought. Although she was not present at the campus festival, she heard about the karate tournament.
After all, it was widely spread at Imperial Star University.
Now, Oneida was elected to the Starr Training Camp.
In contrast, she was still struggling in Elite Class.
Her physical condition was poor, and she was also unremarkable.
Furthermore, she had no genuine blood ties with the Chaser family.
Oneida would inevitably replace her someday...
This thought crossed Jennifer's mind, and a strong sense of crisis arose in her heart.
She gasped heavily, struggling to breathe.
Suddenly, her eyes darkened.
Jennifer closed her eyes, and her body slumped to the side.
"Jenn!" Tatiana immediately widened her eyes, and in a panic, she caught Jennifer's body.
Jennifer suddenly fainted.
With a ghastly pallor on her face, Jennifer collapsed in Tatiana's arms, unconscious.
Lucas hastily urged the driver to speed up.
After arriving at the mansion in Quakersville, Edmund carried Jennifer back to her room.
The family doctor that Tatiana had contacted also arrived.
Oneida stood alone at the door.
Inside the room, the family doctor was examining Jennifer's body.
Oneida cast Jennifer a faint glance.
Everyone knew that Jennifer had a frail body.
But Oneida showed no sympathy.
Because she always remembered the reason for her death in her previous life-in order to give Jennifer a blood transfusion, she exhausted all her resources and was burnt to death. Therefore, she couldn't sympathize with Jennifer.
It would never happen.

Chapter 130
After examining the body, the doctor explained the situation to Lucas and Tatiana, saying, "She fainted suddenly due to excessive emotional distress, and the most important thing is to let her relax and calm down." "Excessive emotional distress?" Lucas and Tatiana exchanged confused looks. Their brows creased as they observed Jennifer who remained unconscious.
They couldn't understand what their daughter was thinking every day...
After the doctor left, Jennifer's room regained silence.
Everyone had left.
Oneida stood in the hallway near the entrance for a while and was about to turn around and head downstairs. To her surprise, Jennifer was standing right behind her. Oneida wondered when Jennifer had woken up.
The girl was wearing a loose nightdress, her face was as pale as snow, but her eyes were wide open.
She stared straight at Oneida.
There was a faint resentment in her eyes.
"You're awake?" Oneida looked at her calmly, asking in a light and gentle tone.
Jennifer clenched her fists.
When she was briefly unconscious, she had a lengthy dream.
She dreamt of losing everything-her father, mother, younger brother, and even her beloved Christopher, as they all became infatuated with Oneida, revolving around her.
As for herself, she was abandoned.
She found herself forgotten in a desolate corner.
This was the thing she was most afraid of.
"Oneida, you are indeed hiding your true self. I underestimated you." A faint smile appeared at the corner of Jennifer's mouth. She looked like a delicate porcelain doll, exuding a sense of fragility.
Oneida pursed her lips and remained silent, appearing to be pondering the underlying implications of Jennifer's words.
"Are you trying to replace me?" Jennifer clenched her fists, her emotions growing more intense. "Are you?"
"Replace you?" Oneida sneered softly, her eyes filled with arrogance and indifference. "I have no intention of replacing anyone. I am just being true to myself."
"You..." Jennifer gritted her teeth in anger.
Then she calmed down, and her eyes remained fixed on Oneida without any movement.
"Say, Oneida, if something were to happen to me in front of you..." Jennifer smirked coldly as if she had been provoked, her emotions were swirling. "Would Dad and Mom completely despise you because of me?"
As soon as the words fell, Jennifer's body collapsed like a broken butterfly, falling straight towards the staircase.
Oneida's eyes flickered, and she instinctively reached out to try to stop her.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
