Chapter 4

2 years ago: The First Date

I check the clock one more time as I wait for her leaning on my car in front of the luxurious house surrounded by a high wall where she told me to come and pick her up. I don’t recognize the level of anxiety and nerves that consumes me right now, especially when I am used to not taking any woman seriously. I don’t understand what she did to me, I saw her last night and I knew immediately that she was the woman I had been waiting for all my life, “is this normal or am I going crazy?” I take a deep breath, I try to calm down and I want to think that everything will be ok, however, my breathing gets out of control when I realize that the door next to the gate opens and she comes out.

She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life, her elegant demeanor makes the emerald dress highlight her body that seems to be hand carved by a sculptor who knows that good taste is in the balance. Her long hair is combed in waves becoming a victim of the movement of her long legs as she walks towards me and as she gets closer, I can better appreciate those big gray eyes that are highlighted thanks to her perfect makeup.

She crosses the street that separates us and I approach her to offer her my hand and help her up to the sidewalk -good evening. – I say and look into her eyes -Let me tell you that you look beautiful. – I flatter her and as a result she smiles at me.

-Thank you very much, you don’t look bad yourself. – He retaliates and observes my outfit which is not extremely formal, black pants, matching blazer and white shirt without tie and with the collar unbuttoned.

-Thank you very much, shall we go? – I propose and open the passenger side door of my black Audi for her to get in.

-Thank you. – She says when she finishes getting in and without further ado I close the door and then turn around and get in on the driver’s side. -May I know where you are taking me? – he asks, making me smile mischievously.

-Are you afraid I’ll kidnap you? – I joke making her laugh.

-Honestly, it wouldn’t be a bad plan… but no, I just want to make sure you don’t take me to any place my father owns. – she clarified and smiled.

-I understand, but don’t worry, I don’t think that your father owns this place. – I explain while I start the car.

-Do you even know who my father is and what he owns? – he asks.

I deny while I start the car -no, and it’s not that I’m not interested in knowing about your family, but tonight I prefer to meet only you, and to make you feel at ease, I am the owner of the place where I’ll take you. – I inform her and when I look at her, I notice how she plays with her lower l*p. -What are you thinking about? – I ask her bluntly and she laughs.

-How do you know I was thinking about something? – she asks amused.

-You bit your l*p… there are two options, either you are thinking about something, or you find me attractive. – I inform her and she smiles.

-You look like a bad boy, but… I listen to you and you seem different. – he comments.

I look away from the road for a moment and look at her -and what do I look like? – I ask and look back at the road again.

-You seem to be hiding who you really are behind that strong look, that chiseled physique and that confident man’s pose. – he explains. I look at her one more time and I can’t believe that finally a woman knows so well who I am just by looking at me and crossing a few words with me… it’s crazy. -What are you looking at me for? Am I right or wrong? – she asks without taking her eyes off me.

I look at the road for a moment and then I look at her again -be my girlfriend. – I say without hesitation and her laugh is the least expected answer of all.

-What, have you gone crazy? – she asks me without stopping laughing and I deny.

-Not at all, from the first moment I saw you I knew you were the woman of my life and now I confirm it. – I explain.

She bites her lower l*p again and looks around -Stop the car. – she asks me out of the blue and I think I ruined everything.

-Hey… I’m sorry, I know it may sound like I’m crazy, but… -Stop the car.

-Stop the car. – She repeats again and knowing that I’m rushing, I do as she asks and pull the car over and stop the engine. Against all odds, she doesn’t open the door and runs away, she just unbuckles her seatbelt and stares at me -You can’t ask me to be your girlfriend without even knowing how I k**s! – she says out of nowhere and a genuine laugh escapes my mouth.

Our gazes don’t separate for a single moment, it’s as if the world has ceased to exist and a supernatural force is pulling me to her. I unbuckle my seat belt and lean towards her while I take one of my hands to the space between her neck and her beautiful face, I had never felt this urgency to feel the lips of a woman and as my whole being demands, I come in contact with her lips. She responds to my k**s in the most urgent way on the planet, it is as if we had waited all our lives for our mouths to meet. The perfect synchrony between her lips and mine makes the atmosphere inside this car ignite in flames as well as my whole body and it is only when we run out of air, that we make a slight pause.

-Where were you going to take me? – she asks me agitated and smiled against her lips.

-To dinner on the terrace of a building under the moonlight, roses and all those things you women like…” I say under the spell of her eyes and she smiles.

-I’m not like the rest of the women…” she tells me firmly and smiles again.

-And what are you like? – I question and caress her hair.

-Unique. – she says imitating the words I said to her yesterday at our meeting.

-And what should I do for a unique woman like you? – I ask.

She k****s me again and bites her l*p -Make me feel the woman of your life as you say you are sure I am. – she answers me.

-Are you sure? – I question.

-Very. –

-Look, you might not be going home tonight. – I warn.

-Don’t worry about that. – she replies and I k**s her again.

-Let’s go then. – I say and get back in the seat to fasten my seat belt and take her with me to a different place.
