Hoping to locate the destroyed Oonock settlement, Mary Waters journeys to Mars. The Company has discovered an ancient seabed, and they’ve invited her to come and explore it. But the Company’s reason for asking Mary is far more sinister. Hidden within the seabed lies an ancient object of enormous power, an object they hope Mary can awaken. Little does the Company know that the object has its own agenda. During a mysterious sandstorm, Mary disappears, leaving behind only her empty spacesuit.
Light years away, Mary’s twin sister, Amber, senses that Mary is in mortal danger. She hurries to Mars, only to disappear herself. With both princesses missing, an Oonock team is dispatched to Mars. If they are going to have any chance of saving their lost princesses, they will need not only to discover the Company's secret but the real Secret of Mars.
