A moment later, Austin jumped down from the sky and dove into the earth under the mountains He took off running as soon as his feet touched the ground.

'What is that? Something caught his eye as he sped past. 'A dragon condensed by Earth Energy?' It was, indeed, a gigantic dragon, and it was lodged into the soil, hidden away in the depths of this underground world.

Its body stretched for as far as Austin could see.

Despite its size, it was near invisible to the naked eye considering that it was translucent.

It was only thanks to Austin’s strong cultivation of Earth Energy that he was able to sense its presence at all.

Whoosh!

Austin glided along the length of the dragon's humongous body.

It took over an hour before he finally reached the creature's head.

"Finally!"

He stood there and examined his discovery with much interest.

He found himself inside a karst cave that was nestled deep underground.

It contained dazzling stalactites that varied in shapes, sizes, and colors.

A huge platform sat in the middle of the cave, and it was where the dragon lay its head.

Its eyes were closed, its breathing quiet, as though in slumber.

"This is quite a splendid view," Austin murmured to himself. "This earth dragon looks like it possesses a magnificently powerful force.”

Very little light penetrated this far underground, and it bounced off the minerals that littered all around, providing an otherworldly glow to the cave.

If an ordinary person found this place by accident, they would probably be down on their knees immediately, making kowtows before the majestic dragon.

An energy was coursing through the place, and it whispered of the overwhelming powers this creature held.

But Austin was no longer the same mere mortal he used to be.

He himself possessed a mighty spiritual sense that bordered on the excessive.

Besides that, he also kept a spiritual dragon and a spiritual tree within his Soul Sea.

Considering all the magnificent treasures he had amassed in the past years, the sight of this enchanting creature was not so enchanting to him.

With his mind made up, Austin stepped up onto the platform and sat cross-legged next to the dragon's head.

If Austin were able to control the earth dragon, it could be said that he would gain control over the entire earth.

He sat quiet and patient as he cultivated the Dragon-trapping Skill. A day passed without his knowing. Then it became two, then three, then more, passing by unnoticed. His focus lay solely on his cultivation.

At that same time, something was also brewing in Heavenly Mountain in western region of the country.

On top of one of the highest peaks sat a clearing, which was home to a large ancient city. It was in this city that the headquarters of the Heavenly Mountain Sect was located.

"What did you say?" An old man with silver hair banged a fist on the table. His face was flushed and veins were popping at his temples.

"All the men we sent to Hume Province were defeated? All of them? Impossible! We sent three elders to lead that team! Are you saying that three of our best were no match for a brat? How can that be true?"

It was no other than the current leader of the Xu Clans headquarters, Skylar.

He was sitting with the other elders and masters of their sect inside a large chamber.

A young man timidly spoke up. "Sir, I was there when it happened.” He proceeded to share what he had observed from the ordeal that he fortunately survived.

"That brat knows how to use some mysterious skill. Our elders launched their attacks at him all at the same time. He didn’t even move much. He just released some sort of mysterious energy, and he was able to shake off our elders. They lost consciousness at the impact.

Then that bastard just waved his hand, and our men would just be blown off to different directions. Many lost their lives right then, while others were seriously injured. His movements were a strange thing to behold."

"What the hell did you just tell us?" Skylar had risen halfway from his seat at what he just heard. "He really did all that? I must have made a mistake.”

He slumped back on his chair and worried his lips. "I think I might have made a terrible mistake. Clearly, I've underestimated his strength. Considering what you just said, he might as well be on the same level as me! He's probably a cultivator of the Expert Realm.”

"A cultivator of the Expert Realm?” The young man's face paled with fear.

The words that were being said inside this room bore such a heavy weight that his heart threatened to beat right out of his chest. The current martial arts on Earth had a system of cultivation realms on its own, which was different from the systems of the other worlds. The vital energy realm here had this hierarchy: Open Force Realm, Hidden Force Realm, Vital Force Realm, Spiritual Force Realm, Subliming Force Realm, Expert Realm, and Senior Expert Realm.

Usually, leaders of martial arts clans and cultivators of the same level were of the Expert Realm. Very few have reached the Senior Expert Realm, and most of them come from influential sects. If cultivators could improve their bases further that it surpassed these levels, they would be considered as legendary figures, which was more or less equivalent to the Mysterious Realm.

Tales had been passed down that there were cultivators of the Mysterious Realm among the clans and sects that possessed a long and rich history.

These cultivators were what people called the immortals in the legends they told.

"Since he managed to defeat all three elders only with internal force, I'm certain that he's an Expert Realm cultivator. He's definitely the same level as me!" Skylar's eyes were darting back and forth as his mind raced.

"I never expected to find such a man in our land. He's young, he's powerful, and already paving his way to more future breakthroughs. But making an enemy of our sect was a large misstep on his part.”

Abruptly, he rose from his seat and motioned to the young survivor.

"Follow me. We shall go visit the sect leader right this instant.

Then you can tell him everything that you saw during your encounter with that brat.”

They strode out of the room and were soon entering a great hall in the middle of the ancient city. Moments later, they were before the sect leader of Heavenly Mountain Sect, and the younger man was relaying his story once again.

"Really? Are you telling the truth?"

the sect leader asked when the young man finished.

He was clad in a white robe, and spoke in a low voice that bounced around the hollow hall.

"You're saying that a young man who is of the Expert Realm slaughtered men of the Xu Clan?

I've never heard of such a thing.

I've never once in my life seen an Expert Realm cultivator so young.

He must be from an ancient sect.”

"Sir!" Skylar cried out.

"Our disciples had clearly told him that we are with the Heavenly Mountain Sect, but that brat still did not hold back!

He has no regard for the prominence of our clan and your sect. Sir, please do something!

We cannot let him be after all that he's done."

Skylar was gritting his teeth as he waited for the leader's reply.

He was fully aware that if his presumptions about this Austin were true, then there was no one in the entire Xu Clan who would harm the brat.

He needed help from a greater and stronger power.

At this point, the Heavenly Mountain Sect was their last resort.

He wasn't going to let this opportunity pass; he was going to persuade the leader no matter what. The battle with that brat not only took his men's lives, but dealt a huge humiliation to him and the Xu Clan.

If they failed to obtain revenge a second time, their status in the martial arts world would suffer greatly.

After a while of mulling things over, the leader in white finally spoke.

"You are right.

His blatant disregard of the titles of our sect and our allegiance only means that he does not take us seriously.

"Send for your men

You will be given two elders of our sect to assist you in dealing with that arrogant young man.

You must leave right away and finish it as soon as possible.

A meeting will be held in Karakoram Mountain in a month.

All the sects will be sending their best hands to discuss important affairs and maybe practice martial arts together.

I do not intend to miss anything.
