Austin said helplessly. That seemed to be their only option, their last chance if they wanted to leave that place.

Their eyes fell on the numerous skeletons that lay scattered on the surface of the lake. They looked at each other as those remains indicated that the challenges faced there must have been extremely terrible and ominous.

"Okay then!

Let's have a good rest for a few days. Then we accept the challenge and face the consequences!” Ingram suggested after the three of them had reached an agreement. They had finally concluded that they had to take up the glove.

Having made up their mind, they searched for a flat place by the lake. Once they found such a spot, they sat down cross-legged and began to rest.

It was a creature, very similar to a Yaksha. Its dark red eyes were filed with a wild ferocity, and it held a black-colored, steel fork in its hand. It was a terrifying creature.

the green Yaksha answered. Uttering those words, it pointed at a spot a little away.

Suddenly, three pontoon bridges appeared on the surface of the lake.

The three pontoon bridges kept on extending into the distance and disappeared in the depth of the lake. No one knew how long they were.

"Aha! So let me tell you that each one of you must rely on your own strength to pass the test alone. You can't help each other. These three bridges have been prepared for each of you.

Austin had walked across and chose the leftmost pontoon bridge.

After stepping onto the floating bridge, he drew out his long sword. His concentration was on moving forward quickly.

With the help of the Omnipotent Lightness skill and his Distance-shortening Technique, Austin kept moving forward on the floating bridge like a beam of light walking across darkness.

"Ha-ha! You all will die!"

Suddenly, a green figure rushed out furiously from the lake. It turned into a beam of green light and began to directly rush towards Austin with murderous intention.

“Oh! So, it's that green Yaksha!*

Austin thought to himself as he watched the green figure approaching him.

Austin whispered in a low voice. But then his eyes turned cold. The long sword in his hand started to emit a sharp and unparalleled sword radiance. Above all was the powerful sword aura that it contained. Austin brandished the sword forward to fight against the green Yaksha head-on.

As he raised his long sword, the sharp sword radiance struck like a flash. Instantly it split the green Yaksha in half, from head to foot!

Austin muttered softly. He felt slightly relieved with his first success when he got rid of the green Yaksha.

But don't start celebrating, you ignorant fool. Only one of my avatars was killed by you with that flash.
