"Ha-ha, you animals! I've been waiting a long time for this! I'll enjoy our encounter, because today is your last day!"

Those twenty semi-governing gods rapidly entered the Tribulation Universe Community and surrounded the twelve zodiac animals.

"I am going to kill the lot of you today. Let's see if Austin remains so arrogant once he no longer has you guys to hide behind,”

one of the semi-governing gods from the beast race shouted and began laughing wildly.

The six super forces had long come to know that it was the Fallen Divine Valley who backed Austin. In fact, it was well known that among the allied army, Austin was not the most powerful cultivator; instead, the most powerful ones were the twelve zodiac animals.

If they killed these twelve animals, dealing with Austin in the future would prove to be a piece of cake.

"You bastards, don't even try anything! You are far from being powerful enough to cause us any harm,"

one of the animals warned in a ferocious tone. Their faces had darkened with anger at being provoked.

They understood what was going on now. These semi-governing gods from the six super forces had attacked the stronghold of the allied army and their plan had been simple. They wanted to lure out either the twelve animals, or Austin. Whoever came out would be surrounded and killed since at this moment, they had the advantage in numbers.

"Cut the crap and kill these sons of bitches!"

a semi-governing god from the demon race roared.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A fierce battle began outside the stronghold.

Those twenty semi-governing gods began fighting the twelve zodiac animals.

"Come on! I'll show you who you're messing with!"

the giant tiger roared. It jumped here from opponent to opponent in the chaotic space, and its long fur danced in the wind. The very sight of its movement was majestic and domineering.

It was fighting two semi-governing gods by itself, one from the demon race and the other from the Novel Court.

It was evident that the tiger was at an advantage. It slashed the space with its large claws, which moved forward so fast that they left streaks behind them. These claws were emitting a powerful force which was shaking the surrounding void. For a moment, the space seemed to dim.

Both of its opponents were forced to step back.

The tiger was terrifyingly powerful and could suppress anything that came in its path with just its movement.

"You stupid, despicable bastards! How dare you play tricks with us! You'll regret this forever!"

The rooster rushed forward as its colorful feathers spread out, making its body appear several times larger.

Its claws were extremely sharp, and contained various runes related to the law of metal. The rooster could tear apart whatever it touched using merely its claws.

Its claws weren't its sole weapon. From time to time, a beam of crescent shaped light wave would come out of its sharp beak.

Where this cold light passed, the enemy would be sliced apart.

Perhaps the most terrifying power was that of the sky-devouring dog.

As soon as the battle had started, its body had begun growing and continued to increase in size. Very soon, it was filling up the entire void, which extended hundreds of millions of miles in all directions.

Its legs looked like they were now pillaring the sky. As it walked, the void shook and everything its paws touched exploded into nothingness.

"GRRRRR!"

The sky-devouring dog roared and rolling sound waves surged out like a storm from its mouth There was something in its voice that instilled a deep fear in the heart of whoever heard it.

This was the secret skill from the blood lineage of the sky-devouring dog's race. It could use sound waves to attack the enemy's spiritual soul and gain the upper hand. The opponents would start to curl up in fear as soon as they heard the roar.

Crack!

The sky-devouring dog's mouth chomped down as fast as lightning, and bit off one half of a semi- governing god from the underworld.

Black blood was splashed all over the sky as the dog threw away the dead piece of flesh from its mouth.

"Yagh! Big mistake!

His body tastes terrible and smells worse than salted fish!"

The sky-devouring dog immediately spat out the broken body and kept spitting in disgust.

The battle was fierce, but still very much in the animals’ favor.

Almost each of them could fight two opponents simultaneously.

They knew the enemy was at a disadvantage and therefore, they didn't retreat. Instead, the longer they fought, the braver they became.

For a moment, the two sides were tied in stalemate.

The chaotic void in the surroundings was irreparably damaged due to their battle.

Space began to tremble and collapse.

Very soon, the space around them was filled with potholes and cracks of assorted sizes and smoke was billowing everywhere. The entire atmosphere had turned a horrific shade.

Hundreds of cosmoses in the Tribulation Universe Community had been destroyed already, and more were facing the effects of this battle every second.

Fortunately, the allied army had been well prepared for such a scenario, and far before the breakout of this battle, almost the entire population of the Tribulation Universe Community had been transferred to the Ice Palace.

Since this was one of the ten core strongholds of the allied army, the allied army had been prepared.

Creatures other than semi-governing gods were not allowed to even approach the area and had been relocated far away.

"No way!

These twelve animals are too powerful!

There are twenty of us but we can't take care of them!"

The semi-governing gods from the six super forces were getting increasingly upset and restless as the battle progressed. One of them roared in an impatient tone. They were at a loss for how to deal with the animals.

Their plans had relied on the advantage they would have in terms of number against these animals. The very idea of victory was tied to that advantage and yet, it was fading every moment.

They had not expected that the twelve animals would be so powerful.

"Come on, come and kill me. I challenge you! Weren't you being so arrogant just now? Look at yourselves! You haven't killed a single one of us!"

The tiger's roar shook the whole field as it called out to its opponents. Its giant claw swiped once again and sent a semi-governing god from the demon race flying out into the distance. As soon as the latter was hit, he began spitting blood

Boom!

The tiger twisted its body, and its thick tail swept out like a huge mountain, crushing the masters from the Novel Court on the spot.

The twelve zodiac animals had been followers of the master of the Fallen Divine Valley since no one knew how long. They had experienced unimaginably fierce battles in their lifetime.

They had learned all kinds of top-level secret skills and went up against all kinds of foes. Their fighting will and power were incredibly strong. These semi-governing gods were no match for them at all.

With each passing second, the animals kept on gaining the upper hand despite their smaller number.

"They are too powerful for us to handle. Let's call for back up!"

Finally, one of the semi-governing gods gave in and roared just as he was cut into a dozen slices by the cold light coming of the rooster's mouth. It was only now that he began feeling really scared. "You're right!"

The other semi-governing gods seconded the idea.

They were reluctant to call for backup but had no other choice. It was humiliating for them to ask for help after being beaten so hard despite the numeric advantage.

However, they knew their situation well enough.

They knew that they needed help desperately. They couldn't hold on any longer.

"Call for help my ass! So, all you idiots are good for is calling for backup after being defeated? Shame on you!"

The twelve animals were furious.

However, something unexpected happened a couple of seconds later.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Outside the Tribulation Universe Community, a dozen more creatures with oppressive auras appeared and rushed into the battlefield.

Each of them was a semi-governing god.

They began making their moves without talking to anyone, all their willpower concentrated on their attacks.

"No way!

All the semi-governing gods from your forces have come for a fight?

Shame on you. You call yourselves super forces but act so despicably!"

The twelve zodiac animals immediately felt the rapid increase in pressure when facing so many enemies at once and were furious.

More than thirty semi-governing gods were now standing up against them, and silently concentrating on their attacks with all their might.

They were also ashamed of what they had been forced to do today, but the fighting power of the twelve animals was too strong and they had no other choice. They would have been wiped out if they hadn't called for help.

"Don't hold back!

Kill these animals at all costs!

Once they are dead, Austin and the allied army will never be able to stir up trouble again!”

one of the semi-governing gods from the beast race told his companions in a deep voice.

"How about we form the Twelve-animal Array and kill them right now?

Continued fighting like this is boring and tiring,"

the tiger asked the sky-devouring dog secretly.

“No.

That array was specially created for dealing with the governing god.

We can't expose it too early just because we are facing too many semi-governing gods."

The sky-devouring dog shook its head after pondering for a while.
