The Ultimate Husband -
Chapter 5785
"It's him..."
Monna was overwhelmed with emotion at the sight of the purple-red flame, her voice trembling as she spoke. "It's Darryl. He's not dead." Despite not seeing Darryl himself, Monna had a feeling that the flame had to have something to do with Darryl. Whew...
Just as Monna was exclaiming to herself, the purple-red flame could be seen growing bigger and bigger among the sea of flames before turning into a giant glaze.
Upon the blaze forming, the sea of flames around it was absorbed in the blink of an eye.
Just then, Monna and the ministers could finally see clearly that Darryl was suspended in mid-air in the middle of the purple-red blaze, with no sign of injury on him at all. What...
Just then, Monna and the ministers were both joyous and shocked.
How had he done it?
What Monna did not know then was that the purple-red flame Darryl had cast was the special Red Lotus Fayette of the Godly Region. It would absorb everything, and the flames of the golden birds were no exception. Whew...
Just then, Darryl let out a sigh of relief from where he was suspended in mid-air.
Thank goodness he had the Red Lotus Fayette then, or he would be ash by now.
The next second, Darryl stared intently at the seven golden birds. "It's all over now." "Immortal Energy Palm!"
The words left Darryl's lips coldly as he rushed toward the heavens, the purple-red flames surrounding him.
In the blink of an eye, terrifying energy began to condense at a rapid rate.
Darryl had used the Immortal Energy Palm back when he faced up against the New World Army in Donghai City. He had taken down an entire army with just one move, forcing the female warrior Sloan with no choice but to retreat. It was evident that this was a rather powerful move, and thus Darryl had not really used it after that.
Yet he was facing up against these seven golden birds, and there was no need to spare them any mercy.
Sensing the terrifying energy condensing in the high heavens, everyone, including Monna, the ministers and the seven golden birds, felt a terror creep over them.
The birds were especially terrified, trying to fly off into the distance.
Rumble!
It was just then that Darryl appeared from the rolling clouds, descending from the heavens with his right arm outstretched.
All that could be seen was a purple-red path of light that trailed behind Darryl as he sailed through the air. It looked like a bolt of lightning from below, threatening to tear the ground apart.
In the blink of an eye, Darryl's blow grew bigger and bigger. It blocked off all paths for the seven golden birds before he finally landed on the ground in a plume of smoke.
What a terrifying blow.
Monna and everyone else present was beside themselves with excitement and shock at the sight.
At last, the smoke disappeared, and all that could be seen on the ground was a gigantic handprint. In it were seven sets of crushed bones, devoid of any livelihood.
On top of that, the two golden birds that had already been wounded before were killed by the surrounding impact of the blow as well.
All at once, the entire palace fell deadly silent.
Everyone watched on with bated breath as Darryl descended slowly from mid-air. He walked to the carcasses of the golden birds, taking out a dagger to remove the inner core of the golden birds. The inner core was a golden color that glowed bright, a small flame flashing on and off in it.
It was not long before Darryl had taken out all nine inner cores, and he finally let out a long breath before falling onto the ground in a sitting position, completely worn.
To tell the truth, Darryl's divine energy had not been fully restored. He had already reached his limit in the fierce battle against the nine golden birds and the Red Lotus Fayette as well as the Immortal Energy Palm, had practically drained him of all energy, "Darryl!"
Monna cried out at the sight, rushing forward to help Darryl up as she said in a tone full of worry, "How are you feeling? Are you alright?"
Monna's expression was filled with worry but also with admiration and respect as she gazed at Darryl.
He truly was the great hero she had always admired. He had fought nine strange birds alone and won! Who else would have the energy to do so?
At the same time, the rest of the ministers crowded forward as well, their expressions nothing but concern.
Darryl smiled, shaking his head. "I'm good. Still alive."
