The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback -
Chapter 518
Chapter 518:
Corey asked, “Why not send it straight to Caden? Why involve an elderly woman?”
Yolanda answered bitterly, “Because of how Caden has treated me! Since he’s not in Warrington, I’ll target his family and make him endure the anguish my father suffered because of me.”
Watching her consumed by vengeance, Corey leaned in further.
“What exactly did Caden do to upset you so much?”
Yolanda’s hand slipped, smearing her lipstick across her face, making her already pale appearance seem even more eerie.
She might have been smiling, but her eyes suddenly filled with tears.
“Caden took Alicia to Terriland.” Corey’s expression grew stern.
To Terriland?
Caden had been hiding in Terriland for the past few weeks, keeping his movements secret.
Corey wondered if Caden had inadvertently become involved in his affairs.
He had his suspicions but knew he must tread carefully now.
“How do you know he’s in Terriland?”
Yolanda shut her eyes, her voice trembling.
“He orchestrated a fireworks display for Alicia in Terriland using a drone.”
What an extravagant gesture!
In a place like Terriland, Caden had kept his journey concealed, but he arranged the fireworks simply because Alicia enjoyed them.
In many cultures, fireworks were seen as symbols of fleeting beauty or unfulfilled promises.
Still, Caden had not hesitated to create a memorable moment for her.
Corey’s hands slowly balled into fists.
He pulled out the USB drive, holding it tightly.
“Caden’s grandmother has probably watched the videos by now.
What’s your next move with the USB? Are you planning to publicize these clips?”
Yolanda wiped her tears away, then lifted her head, her demeanor now composed.
“Absolutely.” Her resolve was clear.
“With all this turmoil back home, and Caden indifferent, solely focused on impressing a woman, why should I hold back?”
Corey looked down, remaining silent.
If this issue escalated, it could cause irreparable damage between Caden and the Moss family.
He might even consider eliminating Yolanda.
Killing Yolanda might be the best course of action.
If that happened, Dorian would undoubtedly take drastic measures to erase Caden from existence.
That would be ideal.
In that scenario, Corey wouldn’t have to lift a finger.
He tossed the USB drive back to Yolanda.
“Go ahead.
Stir things up.”
Yolanda chuckled coldly.
“I’ve already stirred enough.
Of course, the final move is yours.
We’re partners, after all.
Responsibilities should be shared equally, right?”
Corey immediately called his subordinate as soon as Yolanda left.
“Find out what Caden was doing in Terriland.
I want every single detail of his activities during those nine days,” he commanded.
Silence hung heavily on the other end of the line.
Seething with frustration, Corey snapped, “Why the silence? Speak up!”
To his astonishment, Caden’s voice broke through.
“Why are you so angry, Mr.
Hampton?”
