The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback -
Chapter 571
Chapter 571:
She didn’t believe him for a second and reached for her phone — only to find her pocket empty.
What?
Where was her phone?
Caden asked, “What’s the matter now?”
She stiffened.
“Where’s my phone?”
Caden’s expression was unreadable.
“Your phone? Why would I take your phone?”
She was sure he had taken it, so Alicia immediately searched him.
A flicker of darkness flashed in Caden’s eyes as he opened his arms, inviting her to search.
Sure enough, she found her phone in his pocket.
Alicia scoffed, her frustration bubbling, but before she could say anything, his strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her close.
Caught off guard, she gasped as he effortlessly lifted her, setting her down on the hood of the car.
“What are you doing? Put me down!” she said, her voice wavering.
Caden held her firmly.
“Not this time,” he said, guiding her into the passenger seat and gently holding her hands.
“Just be patient.
Let me apologize to you on behalf of my uncle.”
Alicia paused, her breathing shallow as her emotions surged, her gaze turning vulnerable.
Caden’s voice softened as he pulled her closer, gently closing the door.
“I didn’t know until recently how he treated you.”
She bit her lip, turning her head to hide the tears welling in her eyes.
In the privacy of the car, his defenses lowered, and he comforted her, drawing her close with gentle hands.
The quiet intensity between them seemed to heighten as he leaned in, brushing his lips over hers in a soft, deepening kiss.
“When there’s a chance, I’ll make sure he apologizes to you.
Will that be enough?”
Alicia’s lashes fluttered.
She hadn’t been angry for long, and her resolve softened.
She parted her lips slightly, welcoming his kiss as their connection deepened, full of promise and a quiet understanding.
Once Alicia softened, Caden’s actions turned bold and unrestrained.
It had been a while since they’d been this close, and both felt the heightened sensitivity between them.
But car intimacy wasn’t on Alicia’s agenda, and she pushed him back with one last hold on her resolve.
“Let’s go home.”
Caden’s breathing was labored.
“If we go home, will you let me have my way with you?”
