The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback -
Chapter 592
Chapter 592:
Corey shrugged indifferently.
“Alicia’s goal in helping me was to confront Yolanda.
I just got lucky.”
“Really? But I don’t think Alicia is a trustworthy person.”
“She didn’t help me for free,” Corey replied, his tone firm.
“Now, get back to work, and let’s not hear any more complaints about the robots.”
Meanwhile, Alicia went back to Joy Mansion while Caden went to pick up Blake.
Even though Blake had been taken away by the police earlier, he remained tied up and locked inside the car.
Exhausted and parched, Blake curled into a ball, his spirit dimmed.
Caden looked at him, a mocking smile playing on his lips.
Weakly, Blake looked up at him and pleaded, “Caden, please untie me.”
Caden handed Blake a bottle of water.
Blake stared at it, his Adam’s apple bobbing as thirst clawed at him.
But his hands were bound behind his back, and his body was twisted in an uncomfortable position.
Caden raised an eyebrow.
“Oops, I forgot you’re tied up at the moment.”
Blake shot him a glare, panting heavily.
Bastard! What a bastard!
With a casual flick of his wrist, Caden unscrewed the cap and brought the bottle to Blake’s parched lips.
Blake rolled his eyes, his pride holding him back from drinking, but the thirst and hunger made it impossible to resist.
The water felt like a sip of life-saving relief.
Reluctantly, he parted his lips.
Caden carefully poured half the bottle down his throat.
Blake gasped for breath, instinctively licking the remnants of the water from his lips.
Caden glanced down at him and asked, “Do you want more?”
Feeling a surge of defiance, Blake turned his face away.
“Get lost!”
Caden tossed the bottle aside and shot him a teasing glance over his shoulder, a playful smile gracing his lips.
Instead of untying Blake, he slid into the car.
“Let’s head back to Joy Mansion.”
The driver hesitated, casting a sideways glance at Blake in the backseat.
“But Mr.
Ward, Mr.
Langstaff hasn’t…?”
Caden interrupted, his tone dismissive.
“He likes it this way.
Drive.”
The driver hesitated, uncertainty flickering in his eyes.
Blake shouted, “What do you mean? My arms are about to dislocate.
Untie me!”
