Alissa Soleil's POV

We just finished breakfast with the team in the hotel.

Thankfully, auntie didn't ask too many questions.

She just stuck with the 'oh so you guys went on a date' and we let her think that.

It was better than explaining that we found a wounded wolf girl in the woods and I had to reveal to Cal that I'm part werewolf and then we went to a pack territory to treat the wounded girl and we were drove back to the hotel by wolves. Cal and I rode in the back of the bus again and the bus drove to the outreach location again.

It was only 8:00am so we were bound to get there for 9:00am to do consultations and execute the treatments.

There were a lot of people coming. Even more than last night so the consultations and treatments are going to be done for 2 consecutive days.

I erased Luke from my thoughts and just focused in work today.

There are a lot of people who need my help and the hours of crying earlier was more than enough time to spend on him.

Now, my main focus is my patients and my patients only.

After an hour drive, we reached the location of the outreach program.

Calum and I were the last one as usual.

We walked to the consultation and treatment area that the team set up beforehand.

Each doctor had their own tents for their consultation and treatment.

I was in charge of consultations and Calum was in the tent next to mine for treatments.

After about half an hour of preparations, we all started.

I did my consultations from elderly to teenagers to young kids and just all age in general that needed my consultation. The first few hours went by like that.

Calum came to check on me when he was vacant.

"How are you holding up, Dr. Ellis?" Cal asked as he brought me water.

"Just fine, Dr. Williams" I said as I finished writing another prescription and giving it to the patient.

Calum opened the bottled water and gave it to me.

"Thank you" I said with a smile and Calum smiled back then leaned down.

"Don't strain yourself too much. We still have another whole day tomorrow" he whispered.

"I'm not straining myself. I'm literally doing check ups and consultation" I whispered back. Calum chuckled.

Then, he unwrapped a piece of candy and put it in my mouth which I took.

"Sugar" he said then he caressed my head once before walking away to go back to his spot.

I chuckled.

"Dr. Ellis, is that handsome Dr. in the next tent your boyfriend" a patient asked

"Dr. Williams?" I asked as I grabbed my stethoscope.

"Yes. Is he from the prestigious Williams family?" the patient asked curiously.

I nodded.

"Yes, he is from the Williams family. No, he is not my boyfriend" I said.

"But you two look so good together" another patient butt in.

I did the patient's check up as they chat with me.

"You think so?" I said chuckling.

"Yes. He's a handsome rich doctor and you're a beautiful rich doctor. You guys must be a match made in heaven" another patient said. More patients butt in agreeing with the same opinion and I just chuckled the whole time.

Calum and I very briefly talked and the only intimate things we did was whisper to one another but it immediately caused a ruckus.

At this point, I'm just used to it.

Just before lunch time, I had 2 more patients to consult.

I finished the second to the last one after giving them a prescription.

Then, came the last one.

"What can I help you with today?" I said and raised my head only to see him.

Luke.

My brows furrowed as he sat down.

His eyes were focused on me.

There was an intensity in it that I couldn't explain.

I tilted my head to the side then looked around.

"Sir, this a medical outreach program. This tent is for patients' checkup and consultation. If you aren't a patient, please step away quietly" I said eyeing him.

"I am a patient" he said.

I raised a brow at him.

"And what seems to be your concern today?" I still asked.

I swear to ghad, if he doesn't leave.

"My chest hurt. It feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest. I also think something is wrong with my eye, I think I'm seeing red" he said as his jaw clenched. My brows furrowed to me.

"Do you which to talk to a cardiologist and optometrist?" I asked feeling annoyed but still being professional.

"No" he said.

"I want you" he added.

My jaw clenched and I sighed.

I started my usual checkup routine on him and when I checked he's heart rate, it was definitely not normal.

It was beating too fast.

I met Luke's eyes as I checked on him and when I was about to pull away, he held me by the wrist.

"What do you think, Doctor?" he asked with gritted teeth.

His hold on me tightened and I winced.

Luke saw me in pain and he let me go and I pushed him.

I looked at my wrist and it bruised.

I glared at him and he stared at my wrist.

"What's wrong with you?" I said.

"Dr. Ellis?" Calum came and I turned to him holding my wrist.

He looked at me then at my wrist.

"What happened?" he asked worried and he looked behind me.

I held on to Cal's hand and squeezed it.

He seemed surprised to see Luke then he looked at me.

We looked into each other's eyes and I was trying to tell him to let it go.

I mentioned to him that Luke probably doesn't recognize me anymore and if he does, I'll need to pretend that I'm not who he thinks I am.

Although surprised, Cal knew what I was trying to say.

"Mister, what's wrong with you? Are you harassing a doctor?" he said.

"Cal..." I said softly because I knew he was already upset from his tone.

I turned around to look at Luke and he seemed to be staring at my wrist.

Maybe he was waiting for it to heal.

But it didn't.

Atleast not immediately.

The thing is, it will only heal once the sunsets because that's when my werewolf side is usually the strongest.

Luke seemed flustered when he realized that my bruise wasn't going away.

"Mister, please leave unless you want me to call the cops on you for harassment" Cal said.

Luke looked me in the eye and I met his eyes.

"Please leave" I said.

Luke gulped and he turned his back on us and walked away.

I feel like he has more than enough to reason to believe that I really am not who he was looking for.

Cal looked at me worried and carefully looked at my wrist.

"Are you okay?" he asked worried.

"I'm fine" I said and tried to hide the bruise with my coat.

"Soleil..." he sais and kept looking at it with a worried face.

I held Cal's face and made him look at me.

I gave him an assuring smile.

"It will heal in the evening before you know it and when it does, you won't even be able to tell that I got bruised" I told him.

Cal sighed.

"It hurts, right?" he asked.

"I've experienced worse" I told him.

Then, Cal took his handkerchief ans carefully wrapped my wrist with it.

"Thank you" I said.

"Stop worrying too much. I don't think he'll come back anytime soon. Also, like I said, I will heal completely later" I assured him.

Cal still looked at me with a worried expression.

"Cal" I said.

"Yeah?" he answered.

"Can you do me a favor?" I said.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Don't ever step in between him and I" I said.

"He's a werewolf, Cal. A very upset one. I don't want you getting between us and getting hurt" I said.

Cal looked away as his jaw clenched.

"Please" I said and made him look at me.

Cal gulped.

"Soleil, I can't" he said.

I bit my lower lip.

"Cal, I'm begging you. Please. Just don't" I said.

Cal closed his eyes and looked down.

"Okay" he said.

I sighed.

"Thank you" I said and Cal looked back up at me.

"Just don't get hurt again. I can't bear to see you hurting" he said and held my hand on his face.

I nodded.

Cal sighed.

"Ghad. How I wish I was born a werewolf too" he muttered under his breath.

We both slightly chuckled.

After that, we were called to have lunch and Cal and I had to pretend that nothing happened earlier.

My wrist was slightly tingling but it wasn't something that fazed me anymore.

I just had to wait a few hours and it will heal by itself.

Cal was still really worried throughout the day that he made me move my checkup and consultations in his tent.

Of course since he's Dr. Calum Williams, no one questioned it.

The afternoon went by like a blur and we finished just before the sun set.

We packed up our personal things and headed back to the bus.

"Good work, everyone. Our first day is a success" auntie said and everyone clapped.

Calum and I sat down in the back again and he kept checking my bruise.

"You said it will heal after the sun sets" he whispered to me.

"The sun barely just set. Check on it again in like half an hour. It'll be gone by then" I whispered back.

He looked at me suspiciously but agreed.

The bus made its way back to the hotel and sometime on the trip, I heard Cal's phone beeped.

"Let me see" he told me.

I looked at him with a raised brow.

"Did you...set a timer to check on my wrist?" I said in a low voice.

"Yes" he answered and he put his hand out to me.

I scoffed in disbelief but gave him my wrist anyway.

He checked on it again and his brows rose up.

"It's gone" he muttered.

"I told you" I said and I pulled my hand back with a pout.

Then, he looked at me in awe.

"I have so many questions right now" he said.

I rolled my eyes at him and looked at the window.

"Soleil" he said and poked at me as I ignored him the rest of the ride.

We got off at the hotel and Cal stopped poking at me to give him attention.

"Let's eat dinner. I heard from staff in the hotel earlier that they're serving your favorite dish for dinner tonight" he said.

My face lit up almost immediately.

"Really?" I asked and Cal nodded.

Then, I pulled him inside so we could go inside with everyone to the dining hall.

Cal chuckled at how excited I was but didn't say anything.

When we got to the dining hall, Cal went before me and he whispered something to one of the staff.

"Can you please get the dish I personally asked for earlier?" he whispered.

The staff nodded and left to get the dish.

Then, Cal gave me a smile not knowing I heard what he just whispered to the staff.

He personally asked for the dish?

It wasn't part of the menu?

I looked at the other food in the buffet being served in the hall and realized that none of it was my favorite dish.

So Cal really did ask the staff to make it specially for us.

The staff came back with a tray of food for 2 people and gave it to Cal.

"Thank you" Cal said and then looked at me.

"Let's eat" he said and pulled me to a table.

He put down the food in front of me and I just looked at him for a moment.

"What?" he asked.

I just chuckled.

This guy, really.

"Nothing" I said and just ate my food with a smile.

After dinner, all of us went back to our rooms.

I flopped down on the bed exhausted.

But then, someone pulled on my feet.

"Wash up first" Calum reminded.

I slightly pouted and I lazily grabbed a pair of lounge wear to change into and made my way to the bathroom.

I'm too tired to shower so I just washed up.

After I washed up, I went out of the bathroom again and flopped back down on my bed.

Cal chuckled and went to me then he lifted me up to arrange my position and tucked me in.

"Goodnight, Soleil" he said.

"Goodnight, Cal" I said with a yawn.

Cal caressed my head and I closed my eyes to sleep.

Then, I woke up in the middle of the night.

My brows furrowed and I pushed myself up and looked around.

Then, I heard a Howl and it sent shivers down my spine.

I got out of the bed and made I walked over to the window and I peaked outside.

There was a howl again and in the shadows, I caught a glimpse of a familiar wolf.

Luke.

I sighed and turned to look at Calum who was peacefully sleeping.

I bit my lower lip and sighed.

I grabbed my jacket and quietly made my way out of the room.

I wore the jacket and went to the ground floor then I went outside.

I walked over to the side I saw Luke in.

I stood at a distance and I saw his wolf then it stepped back further in the shadows.

A few moments later, he came out with a pair of sweatpants and a half zipped jacket on.

"What are you doing out this late at night, doctor?" he said.

My brows furrowed when I heard him speak.

"Are you drunk?" I said.

"Not really. I wish I was though" he said.

I shook my head in disbelief.

"Look here, mister-"

"Luke" he said.

I raised a brow at him.

"Quit calling me 'sir' or 'mister'. It's Luke. My name is Luke" he said.

I looked at him for a moment and sighed.

"Fine. Mr. Luke" I said and he frowned at me.

"I really don't know why you keep doing this to me. It seems you still think that I'm someone you know. But I'm not" I said.

"I am Soleil Ellis. Daughter of Mildred Ellis. I'm a General Surgeon in W Medical. Whoever you think I am or thought I was, you're mistaken" I stated.

Luke just stared at me.

"So please. Stop trying to harass me. Leave me alone or I'll take legal action" I said.

He didn't answer so I turned my back on him and walked back inside.

Of course, what I said was a bluff.

The cops won't stop him.

It'll just make the situation worse.

I just said that to seem threatening and clueless.

I got back inside the hotel and sighed in relief.

I really do hope he finally leaves me alone.

It is not fun being followed and watched all the time.
