Alissa's POV

"Hmm. A date huh" Lia said as she ate a piece of popcorn while sitting on the bed watching me as I pick out clothes.

"It's not that big of a deal" I said.

"Oh it is that big of a deal because just before we left to visit Sol, you guys were barely acknowledging each other after your wedding" she said. Okay, maybe it is that big of a deal.

"My brother is making it up to you. I love that he's making an effort and that you're getting the attention and treatment that you deserve but I really hope he doesn't fck up again because if he does, ghad I will fcking kill him for real" Lia said I looked at her and gave a concerned look.

"What?" she said innocently.

"Don't say that. He's your brother" I said.

"Yes, he is but then again if he does something wrong I won't tolerate it" she said.

"What if it was me who makes a mistake this time?" I asked.

Lia stared straight at me and sighed with a pout.

I didn't want him to talk about her brother like that because of me.

My relationship with Luke is still pretty unpredictable and we're really working on it.

"Luke isn't perfect, Lia nor am I. We're trying to make things work to the best of our abilities specially now. I don't want you to hate him because of our differences" I told her.

"I'm just worried about you, Ali. You're my bestfriend and my big sister. I just...I know my brother and I know you. I know who messes up more" she said and I chuckled.

I made mh way to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you for your concern" I said and Liana smiled.

I then pulled her to help pick out something for me to wear.

We ended up picking a black ruched bodycon dress since 'the date' was for dinner.

It was still pretty early and I still have my royalty training to attend to in a few minutes.

Lia and I left my room and we made our way back downstairs.

"You know the good thing about you being marked to my brother?" Lia said as shw clubg onto my arm.

"What?" I asked curiously.

"It only means you're here to stay" she said proudly.

I chuckled.

True.

We reached the ball room and aunt Livi was already there.

We started our lessons once again and it went well.

We finished around 6 in the evening.

"Good job, dear" aunt Livi said and caressed my hair with a smile.

"I'll leave you girls now. I need to help Luan out eith something" she said.

Liana and I nodded and we watched as aunt Livi left.

"I should wash up" I said.

Lia nodded in agreement.

"I should too. But to sleep. Not go on a date" she said and pursed her lips then pouted.

I chuckled and we both made our way to our rooms.

I went to the bathroom and I showered.

I probably should've checked on Luke before I showered but oh well.

I showered for a while and the dried my body and put on a bathrobe.

After that, I went out of the bathroom and I almost jumped when I saw Luke sitting by the bed.

"Ghad. You almost gave me a heart attack" I said.

Luke chuckled and then he looked me up and down.

I blushed as I hugged myself.

"Stop checking me out. Are you done with work?" I asked.

Luke nodded as he stood up and made his way towards me.

"Yeah" he said and then he gently grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him.

He put his face on my neck and as his skin touched mine, I shivered.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Mhm-hm. Just a little bit tired, that's all" he muttered.

"Do you want to move dinner some other time?" I asked.

"No" he said and looked at me.

"I've been wanting to take you out to dinner for a while and I don't want to keep postponing it" he said.

"But you're obviously tired and need rest" I said.

"I'm resting right now" he said and buried his face again in my neck.

I chuckled lightly.

"Why don't you lay down for a moment. I'm sure we can have dinner a bit later" I said.

Luke nodded and he pulled me with him to the bed.

He snuggled close to me and I held him.

"Just for a little bit" he muttered.

I smiled as I caressed his hair.

A lot of things have drastically changed since we marked each other.

I'm beginning to think that this was the solution all along so we wouldn't argue so much and maybe it actually is.

I wish it was always like this but I'm sure some problems will pop up every now and then.

I caressed Luke's hair as he napped and I just stared at him.

It wasn't long ago that we were fighting and arguing and now, we can barely stay apart.

It's amazing what the mate bond can do to us.

Luke snuggled in closer and I chuckled.

After about half an hour, Luke started to wake up.

He looked up at me and smiled.

"Hey" I greeted softly.

"Hey" he greeted back sleepily.

"Do we really have to go to dinner? We can always reschedule" I insisted.

"Yes, we do" he said and sat up then looked at me.

"I'll take a quick shower and get dressed. You should too" he said.

I nodded.

Luke gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"I'll see you in a bit" he said and left.

I just smiled.

Then, I started preparing for dinner.

I slipped into my dress and a pair of black heels then I did my hair and makeup.

I looked at the mirror to check myself and smiled at my reflection.

A date. Well, this is something good to begin with.
