This story happened a long time ago, but I remember it as if it happened yesterday.The miracle that didn’t pan out. I wasn’t angry at Camila for letting me go. Instead I just loved her more. She stopped me from making the biggest mistake I ever could have - spending an eternity with someone who didn’t feel the same toward me as I did about her. I still missed her, even today I still think about her often. My feelings of being cheated out of the life I wanted transcended into a feeling of gratitude that I had the chance given back to me. Did I make the right choice? I often wonder what they’re world became. I wonder what my daughter Ashley is like, now that even she is wiser than me. But most of all, I wonder if Camila thinks about me the way I think about her. She and Ashley will live in their world for an eternity, and I will fade into a distant memory. But in the end, while we written in the stars for each other, Camila and I were able to bring each other peace in a world more complicated than we could have imagined. Life doesn’t always throw you second chances, but when it does, it can lead to something truly special.
