We had sat all afternoon chatting with my parents, as I expected they seemed to love Lilah, chatting plenty with her, laughing and joking with us.

Seeing Lilah relax and chat with them made me feel a warmth in my heart I didn’t know was possible. This was where I was meant to be…. This is where she was meant to be…..

“Right son we will get going, leave you to enjoy time with Lilah. I’ll take over Alpha duties for the next week initially, if you decide you want longer off let me know and I can do that. You just enjoy your time together” My Dad said.

I smiled “thanks Dad, I got to go to the office to complete a deal but other than that it will be quality time all round. But we will look to sort an announcement for pack too”

“There is no rush, let Lilah settle and do it when she is ready son. She’s met the important people haven’t you love?” My Mum nudges Lilah with a giggle.

“You forgetting your daughters?” I can’t help but ask.

“Well there is time for that. I know they will love her as much as us.” Mum says as they head to the door.

We wave them off as they leave the suite. I look to Lilah and smile fondly. “I told you they would love you.”

“They are lovely, I can see where you get it from.” she smiles back.

“Right mi cielo, I am going to cook you dinner” I tell her, looking forward to cooking for my mate again. Knowing it settles Knight providing for his mate.

“Can I help?” Lilah asks.

Her request surprises me, but I’m not going to say no. I take her hand and we head to the kitchen.

“Lasagne good for you sweet?” I ask, knowing I have stuff in that can be used for that.

“Sounds good to me handsome” she winks.

“Ok, we will sort out going food shopping soon so you can get in food and treats you like too. Got to make sure you have everything here you need” I tell her as I get the ingredients from the fridge. I notice a bottle of wine in the fridge as I do with a note on

I can’t help but smile, they must of snuck that in as they came in earlier, I shall surprise her with that later……

She begins to chop up the tomatoes and onions for me as I start cooking the meat.

We chat and laugh together as we are cooking and prepare the food, I am enjoying just being with her even doing something as basic as making food together. I put the lasagne we have made into the oven.

“Fancy a drink on the balcony sweet?” I suggest.

“Mmmm sounds good, it looks nice out still” she smiles at me. I try not to think of the last time she was on the balcony….. it’s time for us to make new memories….. good memories….. she deserves to be happy…….

So I grab the wine Mum and Dad brought for us and open it and then pick up two glasses and we walk to the balcony. I put the bottle and glasses on the table, as I notice Lilah is stood at the edge of the balcony looking down at our pack lands ….. her new home…..

I walk to her and wrap my arms around her waist and rest my head on her shoulder. “Welcome home Lilah” I whisper into her ear.

I feel her snuggle into me “it’s gorgeous up here! I can’t wait to see it when it’s been snowing! I’ll be out here with hot chocolate” she smiles.

The fact she is thinking of our future warms my heart….

“Well you always have your big bad Alpha to snuggle with” I tell her. I can hear her giggle as I walk to pour her some wine.

I pass her a glass of red wine, I stand alongside her this time with my own glass.

“Mmm this is nice, thank you!” She says.

“This was a treat from Mum and Dad, but I shall make a note you like it. Are you happy Lilah?” I can’t help but ask.

“That’s a strange thing to ask. Aren’t you scared to know the answer?” She looks to me sipping her wine as she does. Is she teasing me?

“I know you were unsure of everything sweet, that you were nervous, and scared, I wanted all along for you to be happy that’s all I ever wanted for you.” I tell her.

I see her look to me, then look out across the forest in front of us, deep in thought. “I’ll be honest Knox…..” she paused and I see her biting her l*p nervously….

Shit…. Suddenly I’m nervous….. maybe I should be scared of the answer……

She takes a deep breath before she continues “I am still scared and nervous but it’s not for the same reasons anymore Knox, I’m scared and nervous that I won’t be enough for you, or your pack”

My heart broke for her hearing her say this…. I still have work to do to make her realise how perfect she was….Logan may be gone but the effect he had had on Lilah was going to be around for sometime and it would be my goal to help heal the damage he and Anya had done……

“Lilah…..” I began. But she raises her hand to stop me.

“Sorry, let me finish please. But while I have that there, there is something else that wasn’t there before Knox a happiness and contentment I couldn’t have imagined. It was sort of lingering before I knew you were my mate I guess, but only when I was around you, just something in the things you’d say or things you did.” She paused to sip her wine.

“But when we realised we were mates and I didn’t use the lotion anymore, and the mate bond was strong it was overwhelming. I think it would have been hard to reject you in the end had my feelings not already led me to want you as my mate” she says with a coy smile.

Wow, she’d been feeling a lot of what I did….. the stuff she’d said …… just wow….

“Sweet that is amazing. But let me tell you something, you will forever be enough for me. I was waiting for you for so long….. and you will be a wonderful Luna when you are ready. There is no rush, but you were made to be a Luna. I will be proud to call you my Luna” I reassure her.

“I wanted to say to you that I think maybe my Dad was right, maybe everything that you did maybe was part of the moon goddess’s plan, to make sure you were still here to be my mate sweet. I am sorry for getting angry, I was scared for you, scared I may lose my mate…. But like I said perhaps all this was perhaps part of our fate, to bring you to me , to make you my mate. And make me appreciate you even more than I already would” I tell her.

She smiled at me, that beautiful smile that I swear would make me do anything for her….

“We best go get this lasagne out of the oven.” I tell her.

“Looking forward to it” she smiles.

“Over dinner we can plan our week off together. And then I plan to take you to bed…..” I tell her.

I hear her giggle that sexy giggle again……having my mate by my side would be everything I’d hoped for….. she was where she belonged now….. in her rightful place….with her Alpha….. the right Alpha…… her fated Alpha and mate…….
