Chapter 120

Koko’s POV

I tossed and turned on the bed and stretch my hand to touch my mate, but the bed felt empty, as usual and I forced my eyes open to see my mate standing by the window.

“Niyol, are you still not sleeping?”

I rolled up from the bed, sitting up against my pillow, he turned to me, when I looked up at the clock, it was two o’clock, am.

“Don’t worry about me, just go back to sleep.” He said waving his hand.

I pulled off the duvet from my body, tossing it to the other side of the bed, then I walked over to him.

When he saw that I was coming towards him, he stretched out his arms then I walked into them and he wrapped around my wa!st. It had been a month now since he came back with the news that Chester was gone.

Since then it had been like everything had been on a standstill, a funeral had not been held and any thought of replacing Chester as the Beta had not even been remotely mentioned.

I understood why he was yet to recover from the shock. Losing a loved one was not something that you could easily recover from. Even for someone as strong as my mate, the Alpha King.

“Koko, you should go back to sleep…”

I shook my head, gazing out the window as his hands were warm around me.

“There is no way I am going back to sleep if you’re not joining me…”

“I don’t want you to be standing like this… you should be thinking about the baby right now.”

I rested against him.

“So you’re saying that I should not be worried about you? You can’t keep punishing yourself like this, you need to rest…” I told him in a soft voice.

I felt his hands holding the frame of the window, his fingers held the frame so tightly. It was as if they were trying to break it, and I made sure my own fingers slipped over to his and wrapped around them.

He brought his head over to my neck and I placed all the fingers on his cheek and tears started strolling down his well chiseled face.

I turned to him and we look at each other like that for a while, with the moonlight pouring on us, then without even thinking, his lips came over to meet mine, embracing each other as our tongues explored each other.

My hands came to wrap over his neck and then it became even deeper and more passionate than before, as my legs wrapped around his wa!st.

He took me to the bed, without breaking it, even when my back fell against the duvet. We finally separated when we wanted to gasp for air, then he began to unbutton his shirt, as he was doing that, I was taking off my own top and in a few moments, he was searching for the band of my skirt, and he pulled it off, then we were only in our underwear.

As always, I was blushing like an idiot, I didn’t know why I would get so embarrassed whenever we did this, but right now it was not about my embarrassment. I had to overwhelm my mate with my thoughts so that he would not have any place for the unhappy ones.

So I did something that was a little out of character, but then, I knew he was probably aware of that.

For the whole month we had not had anything to do with each other, we just slept on the bed like strangers.

I was even the only one that he was talking to during his time, because he practically shut everybody out except me.

He wasn’t talking to the Queen mother or his sister Laci, or the gamma, but rather he was just kind of there without being there.

It wasn’t too different with me though, but a few times he tried to maintain some conversation and some form of normality.

I wanted my mate back, I wanted him to know that he had people around him that cared about him, people that were worried.. and so my hands went over to the band of his pants, pulling it down and immediately his member came out and slapped me in the face.. I gasped out.

My fingers wrapped around his member and it was as hard as steel, in contrast my fingers were trembling like jelly as I tried to keep my wits together.

This is so embarrassing indeed and my cheeks were red as usual. I was almost thinking of backing up when he suddenly m0aned out.

He said as he picked up his shirt to wipe it up from my face and then I just let out an awkward smile.

“Don’t worry about it too much. I actually swallowed some of it, so it wasn’t all of it that went to my face…”

“You swallowed it?” He asked and I nodded. He started laughing.

I was so happy that I could make him laugh again.

His member that was becoming soft immediately became rock hard again and before I knew it, he ripped off my bra. It was not like I could even wear it anymore after that.
