Chapter 127

Niyol’s Pov

This morning, Koko was still looking down, but she was trying to fake it with a plastic smile that was definitely not fooling me at all.

Even when we were having breakfast, She was just poking at her plate with her spoon occasionally, taking a few mouthfuls after I nagged her to.

Seeing her like this because of a worthless piece of trash made my b***d boil so much.

Last night we were supposed to celebrate our love… I was suppose to finally mark her, to show her just how much I adored her as my Queen.

But he had ruined it.

“Koko, we are going to have another mating ceremony, it’s going to be even more grand than last nig-“

I said moving my hands over to scoop over her fingers in mine, she looked at me, giving me the most genuine smile that I had seen on her all morning.

“You don’t have to worry about making it grand, lets just make it more quiet… more intimate… that is what the mating ceremony is truly about right? Sharing just how we feel about each other…”

I leaned over and planted a k!ss on her head, I wanted to give her the whole world and that was the least that she deserved at this point after all she had been through.

Just then Chester came over and then he mind linked me that there was something that had to be taken care of.

His tone sounded urgent and the fact that he had said it in mind link without walking up to me and saying it meant it was something that would trouble my mate, meaning it was probably concerning that basterd last night.

I got up and she looked up at me with surprise, we usually finished breakfast together.

I looked at her and said. “It’s just some trivial palace matters, enjoy your breakfast my dear…”

I k!ssed her again and when I saw that her eyes were on her meal again, I walked over to Chester and asked him about the situation.

“It’s an Alpha, the guy that had caused a rukus last night was his son, he requests an audience with you…”

This reminded me of Henry’s trail, why were these Alpha’s raising bastards to take over them? Well he was obviously more responsible than his son, so I would grant him that audience.

I came to my throne room, he was already there bowed down to his knees and when he saw me he crouched even lower, when I walked past him.

“Your majesty, thank you for gracing me with your presen-“

“Skip the formalities…” I told him in a voice that was colder than a glacier.

“I hope you know that your son has not only disgraced you, but your entire pack as well? Last night was suppose to be a wonderful memory for my lovely mate and I, but now it has been scarred forever because of the foolishness of your son…”

He was trembling at the spot that he knelt.

“Y-your majesty, I don’t know what came over my son.. he is usually so responsible, I think it was because he drank too muc-“

“Did I ask you for excuses?” I fumed getting up to my feet.

It was Chester that placed a hand on my shoulder, whispering in my ear for me to calm down. I took a generous gulp of air, as I sat back on my throne.

“Sir, I think you should be apologizing instead of giving excuses that will only infuriate the Alpha King even more.” He informed the old Alpha who quickly adjusted himself.

“I’m extremely sorry, like I said before, I will take responsibility for my son’s actions, but please spare his life…”

I looked at the old man that had been on his knees before I had even gotten to the throne room and then I told him to raise on his feet.

“You know I had a case quite similar to this, and do you know what I did to the Alpha that failed to raise his son well?”

He visibly gulped as more b***d was drained from his face.

“You striped him of his Alpha position…”

I crossed my legs again, cocking up my eyebrow.

“And do you know what happened to his son?”

He gulped again.

“He has disappeared without a trace…”

I nodded cracking my fingers against each other.

“Now, I don’t want to draw more attention to the scandal of last night.. and what he did was infuriating, but not enough to take his life.. so now how do you think I should punish your son?”

He looked at me. “You want me to tell you how to punish my son?”

“He didn’t stutter did he?” Chester asked him and he shook his head.

“No… no… let me think… he should promise to never come anywhere near your mate or make any sort of contact with her…”

I pillared my chiseled chin with my hand.

“Keep going…”

He gulped again for the third time.

“Isn’t that e-enough your majesty?”

Not breaking my gaze with him I asked him. “Do you think that it is enough?”

He immediately shook his head.

“No, no that’s not enough of course, he embarrassed your mate in public and so he deserves to be embarrassed as well himself, also he should be made to bow before your Queen and apologize..”

I nodded, at the very least before he would leave the sight of my mate forever he should be made to apologize to her. And so I had a document drafted with all of this and his father thanked me before taking the document down to meet him in the cell.

He returned not long after, and the document was signed by then. I already told my mate about the arrangement.

“I’d prefer never having to even see him again, but there are some things that I want to get off my chest…”

And so the moment came again, once again in the throne room with guards holding him incase he tried anything stupid.

“Gad, I want to thank you…”

I was surprised by what she said, but I sat on my throne, waiting to hear what else she was going to say.

“If it wasn’t for you accusing me of killing my own twin sister after I barely survived an accident and your plans to make me a rogue.. I would have never met my true mate…”

I felt like someone was gripping my heart when she said that.

“…if you had not rejected me and treated me like trash, I would have never met my true mate, so thank you Gad, thank you…”

It was time for him to apologize, but he was doing it so insincerely that I had to stop him half way.

“That’s enough… get him out of my sight…” I said to the guards, then I walked over to my mate, placing my hand around her waist.

“And if you ever come within a five mile radius of my mate, consider that the last day of your life..”

After that the guards dragged him away, and I held Koko closer to me. I could feel some of the weight leaving her heart.

“Don’t worry, I’ll never hurt you.. Never!.”
