Chapter 136

Koko’s POV

Now I confirmed that my mother was totally shameless, but this was just too much, even for her. Well it explained how she knew that I was now the Luna Queen and she was able to find me.

That bastard

Gad told her. Deep down in my heart was a new kind of twisted emotion inside of me and it was different from the usual one.

“So that was the real reason you came here in the first place… it’s just because Gad asked you to?”

Then once again without wasting a single breath she said.

“You know this is exactly one of the things I hate about you, you are so freaking dumb! Of course, I’m only here because of that, what were you thinking?” She chuckled, “that I was actually worried about you? But I really care about you though.”

She let out a sickening cracked laughter that was so loud that she held her stomach. I just watched her, my eyes brushing up with a new feeling, and it wasn’t one that I ever thought I would feel for this woman.

Pity.

“Actually I never wanted you back in my life, but I was hoping that somewhere deep down in that black abyss you have for a heart that maybe you had the smallest shred of regret for all you made me go through… but you don’t even have that at all.” My fingers were balled up into fists.

This door had been closed for way too long and I hoped for her sake more than mine that it would open up very soon.

“Do you even know I’m pregnant, or can you not see it?”

As soon as I said that she just waved her hand.

“That is not important at all, do you think that if our alpha had offered me a place in his life as his lover I would have not abandoned your father in the drop of a hat and gone over to him?”

It was as if she was saying everything she could to scratch away any shred of respect I could even dream of having for her, even though there was nothing left.

“Don’t mention my father.” I said to her in a very cold voice, something that she also brushed off as well.

“I’m just giving an example, you should understand, today you might be Luna Queen, but how long do you think it will last? The Alpha king has been known for having a lot of women in his life and eventually he’s going to get tired of you because you are nothing special, honestly I’m even surprised that you have been able to hold his interest for this lon-“

I was not able to hold myself back anymore and I gave her a dirty slap, before she could say any more nonsense. She was so shocked by it that she staggered back and almost fell down on her butt.

“You had already crossed the line when you talked about my father and my pup, but then you’d also dare mention my mate too?”

I matched over to her and she was now trembling and not looking so care free as she was a few moments ago.

“Look woman..”

I called her, snapping my fingers.

“It seems like you don’t understand the situation that you are in. You think that you have cleverly lured me into this place and now I’m trapped here with you…”

I shook my head. Looking down at her, I said: “but in reality you are the one that is supposed to be trying with everything you have, to open that door very soon…”

She placed her hand on her cheek and then looked back at me.

“Koko you slapped me? Your own mother!”

“Can you just drop that ridiculous act already? Besides, you have admitted with your own mouth that you don’t care even if I drown in a liquid, so there’s no need to keep embarrassing yourself by stressing about something you don’t even care about!” I snapped at her.

“So if you don’t behave yourself for the few moments that those doors are still locked, then you won’t blame me for what will happen to you next…”

Her eyes looked as if they were going to pop right out of their sockets, it was funny how the tables had turned. Before she was the one that was making my life so miserable,

Before she was the one that would look down on me like this as if I was nothing more than a cockroach and I would be the one shivering in fear hoping that she would show some mercy.

But now how did she feel being on the receiving end?

She was trembling so much like somebody had poured ice water on of her, but I was not done with her just yet, I told her to look at me but her eyes were still planted on every single flower in the garden instead of me.

I called her again and she looked at me, fear was very evident in her eyes and that was the only emotion I needed her to show whenever she looked at me.

I wanted her to be reminded that I was not the same girl she had raised and treated like trash, I was different now.

I did not fear her instead, it was the other way round. I’d make sure of it

“I don’t know and I don’t care about whatever that fool has fed into your head, but the day you ever mention his name again, even though it’s just by mistake, I will make sure that is the last day you set foot in this Palace! Is that clear?”

She mumbled something under her breath and I growled at her from the bottom of my throat.

“I asked you, are we clear?”

She immediately nodded. “We are clear.. We are clear.. I won’t mention him again.”

I didn’t want to resort to threatening her, but that was the only way I could get into her thick skull, I had been doing everything to make sure I could somehow coexist with her, but since she had decided to be nothing but a pebble in my shoes, then I was going to be a thorn In her flesh as well.

I walked over to the clusters and was relieved when I saw that they were already opened.

“I’m will not tell my mate about what you said,” I said as I cracked the door open.

“As long as you stay out of my sight, I will never mention that disgusting name again. You will be able to live a life with all your luxuries that you always found more important than the man that actually cared about you…” After saying that, I walked out leaving her.

Of all people that she could recommend to bring back into my life, it had to be one of the people that totally wrecked me in the past. She really didn’t feel any sort of remorse…

I felt something wet on my cheek, and I saw a teardrop rolling down, this was really the last time I would ever cry for her.
