Chapter 141

Niyol’s pov

As I was standing outside my mate’s wardroom, my heart was in my throat, but that was until the doctor came from behind with her results and his face did not have a worried expression.

When I opened the door, I saw my mate sitting up and her eyes met mine. I rushed off to her, and

hugged her gently, even though I wanted nothing more than to crush her body against mine.

“Koko!” I called her as if we were a million miles apart and that was how I felt when I found out that her mother was planning to take her to that bastard.

Her mother.. I thought for a moment, her body was now in a morgue. How would she react when she find out that her mother was dead?

This thought continued to run through my mind as the doctor said her survival was a miracle and the baby was unharmed too.

“…you are quite fortunate Queen Luna, the two other people in the car with you are both…”

“I don’t want to know..” She interrupted the doctor.

“Whatever became of them, I don’t ever want to know especially that woman… I don’t want to know anything about her…”

I held her close to myself and her whole body was still trembling at that moment, I could only imagine how she felt for her own b***d to betray her like that over and over again, it was enough to cut her off and never want anything to do with her.

She turned to me.

“Is that okay? Or do you think that I should…”

I immediately shook her head.

“You don’t need to involve yourself with anything that has to do with that woman. I will take care of everything.. when did you find out?”

“Find out that that woman was planning to kidnap me?” She asked and I nodded in response.

Then she said; “I was suspicious from the start, then I suddenly started feel very sleepy, it seemed like she had drugged me to make taking me much easier for her and I heard them talking.. and it all fit…”

She sighed resting her head against my chest and I wrapped my hands around her to keep her warm.

“I’m just glad that nothing happened to the baby, if something had.. I would… I would..”

I hugged her tighter.

“Don’t think about all of that, henceforth, all of them.. everything about them will stay in the past where they belong.. I’m sorry for trying to convince you to forgive that woman… she did not deserve it at all…” I said, as I was stroking her hair.

She turned to me.

The doctor said she could be discharged today, so we returned to the palace.

When we returned to the palace, I discovered that the place was almost empty because almost everyone had gone to search for Koko, after Chester sent out the alarm that the Queen Luna had been kidnapped.

Ethan was still at the Palace to manage the kingdom. When he saw the two of us his face was washed all over with relief.

That was what everyone else had when they came back, and there was a small celebration following that.

Laci had come over to see us in our room and rushed to hug my mate, Chester and Juliana were behind her.

“Oh, Koko, I’m so glad that you are safe.. this is my fault, I should have never been pushing you to forgive that animal!”

My mate hugged her back and gently pulled her away.

“It’s fine, after all I did the same for you both and your mom..” She said with a smile.

“And you said that because you didn’t know that woman’s intentions… Now let’s not talk about her anymore, so that just thinking about her won’t ruin my mood…”

“B-but…” My sister hesitated, her eyes coming over to mine and I could see what she was going to ask.

“The baby is fine, all thanks to the moon goddess…”

She looked like she sighed with her entire body when I said that.

“Thank the moon goddess indeed,” She gasped.

“So that means we will be having another grand celebration very soon…” Julianna said. From behind my sister and I smiled as I pulled my mate closer to myself and I rubbed her tummy.

That night when we finally went to bed, I was still holding her very close to myself, so close that she had to chuckle.

“Niyol, I won’t disappear into thin air if you ease up a bit…”

I laughed and gave her a little space, but she still rested her head on my neck, occasionally planting a k!ss that sent me shivering all over.

“Koko…. there’s something I want to tell you..”

I said to her, and I could sense she had immediately become anxious at that moment.

“You don’t have to worry so much my dear… I hope this comforts you in a way…”

“What is it?” She asked me.

I took a generous gulp of air before I continued speaking.

“I can’t promise you that our life will be a perfect smooth sail from now.. I can’t promise they won’t be high waves or troubling weather…”

“I’m expecting that too…” She cut into my words.

“I know it will not always be ‘perfect’, besides perfection is totally overrated you know.. as long as we have each other.. we will soar through all of these storms.. I’m not going anywhere…”

And that was why no other woman could be my Luna Queen in this woman’s stead.

“Koko, I love you…”

She pressed one of those occasional k!sses on my neck and as usual, I shivered as if I had been caressed by a smooth sweet breeze.

“I love you too Niyol, with all that I am and I have… I love you.”

We raised our heads and our lips met passionately as I held her closer. It was a short k!ss, but it made my world spin and my heart raced so fast.

Yes, our lives were going to always have these bumps, but that was not something to be afraid of because at each one we would be there for each other.

“Niyol, can I tell you something too?”

She wanted to tell me something, so I smiled.

“Of course you can, go ahead… tell me…”

She was so silent that I thought she had fallen asleep,

but then I heard her voice.

“I want to take you to meet some important people, I hope that you don’t mind that…”

Some important people? I wondered who they were, but I thought who would be important and I did not know, but I would soon find out.

We had come this far, even if there were going to be hard moments, there would also be beautiful ones like this when we just lay in each other’s arms, inhaling each other’s scents and being comforted by each other’s mere presence alone.

So with that in mind, I had no other choice but to stay with her for the rest of my life, because that was the only place that felt like home.
