Twice Rejected
Chapter 84

Alpha Niyol’s POV

This time, I wasn’t going to lose her. We rushed out of the station and I took the wheels.

“Are you certain that she shifted?” Julianna asked.

“Yes, I am certain. I am so happy my Koko isn’t dead.” I said and drove faster.

I finally got her location. I can’t wait to see her again. I have missed her so much. Hang in there, Koko. I am coming to take you with me. I scrunched up my face a little and Chester seemed to notice it.

“What happened?” Chester asked.

“Did she shift back?” Laci asked.

“Yes, but I got her location before she did so.” I said and drove faster. I have to get there before she moves again. I can’t afford to lose her this time.

“Thank goodness you got the location.” Laci sighed in relief.

I kept driving till we got to what seemed like a village. I got down from the car and sniffed the air. ‘Wolves lives here.’

“Where do we go from here?” Laci asked.

“Follow me.” I said and started following a narrow bush path.

We got to a place and I stopped. Her scent was still lingering in the air, but she wasn’t there.

“Her scent is lingering here, but I can’t find her.” I said as I walked around.

“Did she leave here and go to another place?” Chester asked, looking around.

“Over here.” We heard Julianna’s voice and ran to her.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Look at the ground.” She answered.

We looked at the ground and saw some droplets of b***d. It had already soaked into the soil, but was still visible. This can’t be her b***d! Nothing must happen to my Koko.

“What transpired here?” Laci asked.

“The floor looks like there was a fight here. I’m seeing a paw print and human feet.” Chester said.

We ran to where he stood and checked the floor there. It looked like a wolf and human fought here. Laci soon brought out a knife and a bowl from the floor.

“What’s going on here?” She asked, tears rolling down her cheeks.

I collected the knife and bowl from her then sniffed them. “Koko didn’t use these. Her scent isn’t on them,” I said.

“Then did someone use these on her or what?” Julianna asked.

“The knife isn’t stained with b***d, so I don’t think it was used. But I’m seeing a scratch on the knife which means it was flung away from the person who wanted to use it on her, if that is what happened here.” I said, still looking at the knife.

“I’m scared! I don’t want Koko to die..” Laci shook her head and I felt anger rise up within me.

I walked around the place, but there was no trace of her. I facepalmed. We waited to see if anybody would pass so we could give them a description and ask if they had seen her to avoid us wandering into the village and be tagged as trespassers, but no one seemed to pass.

The more the time passed, the more my anger rose. I was this close to finding her and now I lost her again, shattering my hope. I will make sure those people feel my wrath today. I can’t leave them like this.

This time, I wasn’t going to lose her. We rushed out of the station and I took the wheels.

I held on to the car keys and started going to where I parked it. Chester and the others followed after me. They might be scared that I was going to do something rash and that was exactly what I was going to do.

“What about Koko?” Chester asked immediately they got into the car.

“File a report that she is missing and place her posters everywhere including this village. Someone who saw where she was taken or who had seen her going elsewhere should be able to tell us. Also, attach an accolade to it to give us fast results.” I said and started driving.

“Okay!” Chester answered and took out his phone.

“But where are you going this time?” Laci asked.

“Same way I am in pain and can’t rest? That is the same way I will cause them pain and remove rest from their lives.” I said and drove faster.

“Please, calm down and don’t get us killed!” Laci snapped, but I said nothing and drove till we got to Henry’s father’s mansion. I got out of the car and banged on the gate.

“Who is the_”

“Open the gate this instant!” I ordered. The guard quickly opened the gate and I stepped in.

“Good afternoon, your highness.” He greeted.

“I haven’t come here for courtesies or pleasantries. Where is your Alpha?” I asked with a cold and stern voice.

“He… He…” The guard stuttered, pointing at the door leading to the living room.

I said nothing and headed to the door, flinging it open. There he was drinking wine with his elders, while I was in pain… the pain his son caused me.

“Alpha Niyol!” He gasped and stood up.

I was quiet and took slow steps to where he stood. The atmosphere around the room became tense as my intimidating aura made them forget to greet, but that wasn’t my concern now. When I got closer to where he stood, I could see him break out in sweat.

“I am sorry for what my son did.” He spoke up.

“So, you know what your son did?” I narrowed my eyes on him.

“Yes. I was just discussing with the elders on how to tackle the issue.” He said.

I scoffed and looked at the assorted drinks and snacks on the table before them.

“With wine and snacks?” I asked.

“It’s_”

“This doesn’t look like a meeting, but a feast. This alone shows that you have no remorse for what your son did.” I said.

“It is not what you are thinking, Alpha Niyol. I am truly remorseful for_”

“If you’re truly remorseful, you wouldn’t have been here drinking wine, eating snacks and enjoying yourself. Do you think this is a trivial issue?” I asked and he lowered his head. “Oh, you think you can bail him out right? I’d love to burst your bubble and tell you that your son will either rot in jail or die!”

Immediately those words left my mouth, he fell on his knees.

“No! You can’t do such a heartless thing to my son, please!” He begged, but that only annoyed me further.

“Heartless? Your son is the heartless one. He connived with Scarlett to kidnap my mate. I would have been a bit lenient if they had handed her over to me, but they didn’t. Instead, they tortured her till she escaped and now she is missing. Now tell me, isn’t that heartless?” I asked, but he couldn’t answer.

I held on to the car keys and started going to where I parked it. Chester and the others followed after me. They might be scared that I was going to do something rash and that was exactly what I was going to do.

“Alpha Niyol, please tender justice with mercy. I know he has done the wrong things, but I assure you that he will change when he is out.” He pleaded.

“Yes!”

“Alpha Niyol, please tender justice with mercy. I know he has done the wrong things, but I assure you that he will change when he is out.” He pleaded.

“Alpha Niyol, please tender justice with mercy. I know he has done the wrong things, but I assure you that he will change when he is out.” He pleaded.

“Do you know that Koko is missing?” I asked him.

“Yes!”

“Now I know how selfish and irresponsible you are. Your son is in jail and my mate is missing, but all you can do is eat and drink because you thought you would be able to bail him out very soon. You even called your elders to dine with you in the guise of discussing what had happened. A person like you does not deserve to be called an Alpha!” I said.

He understood what I meant immediately and knew what was about to come. His elders gasped as well. He held my legs and buried his face to the ground.

“You can’t do this. Have mercy!” He cried in a loud voice, drawing the attention of his palace servants who stood at corners to watch what was going to happen.

If he was dethroned, then they will all lose their jobs, but there was nothing like mercy in my dictionary right now. I must make sure I spread this pain in me all over their families. No one was going to be spared!

“Your grace, this is going too far.” One of the elders spoke up.

I snapped my head towards their direction and the rest moved away, leaving only the one that had talked to face me alone, which concluded that they were all selfish and exploitative old men.

“It hasn’t gone too far. It is about to!” I said to him. “From today, you all…” I pointed to all of them. “…have been stripped of your titles as elders. You can leave this place now or do you want to watch the show here?” I asked and they fell to their knees chanting the same anthem that sounds disgusting to my ears.

“Have mercy!”

I glanced at the Alpha who was holding my feet and removed his grip from it.

“I, Alpha Niyole Heaven of the red moon pack and alpha king of all the werewolves and humans…” I started and he shook his head vigorously. “dethrone you as the Alpha of this pack and strip you of every title you hold here. You are not to be seen outside in royal clothes, but are to go about like a common man.” I said and snapped my fingers.

His servants came and started to remove his royal clothes.

“Please reconsider,” He pleaded.

“I am a man of my word and will not take anything I have said back because you aren’t worth it.”

I left all of them on their knees and gestured for Chester and the others to get into the car.

“I don’t pity them. They’re a bunch of selfish and greedy people. They deserve this and more,” Laci said as they entered the car.

“Same here,” Julianna nodded.

I got into the car and held the wheels. I won’t spare any of them. They must all feel the pain!
