Chapter 86

Alpha Niyol’s POV

I went back to my packhouse so that I could strategize on how to find my mate. But before that one thing I had to secure was that both Scarlett and Henry were thrown behind the coldest, darkest and dirtiest dungeons in my Palace fed with only enough food to keep them alive.

The trail of KoKo had gone completely cold, but I knew that she had to be within that vicinity that we saw her b***d and I felt her shift, so I sent my men there spreading the word that whoever could bring her back safely would be given a grand reward.

With my mate’s peculiar color of eye, I strongly believed it would be hard to confuse her with someone else.

Or at least that was what I had thought before I saw the circus parade that came right after my announcement, one after the other people brought women wearing contact lenses or doing things that I would rather not even inquire into to make their eyes look exactly like that of my mate’s.

“Do these people know that I am the Alpha king or have they forgotten?”

I fumed and then Chester, my beta suggested that I throw anyone that brings in false information or imposters into the dungeons for a certain period, this seemed like a good idea and I immediately went with it, as a result, all the clowns stopped coming, and then generally everybody stopped coming.

People were afraid to give any information and I sat on my throne worried that perhaps the person who knew where my mate was was now scared of being seen as a liar and holding back.

Of course, I’d also sent my men to scout the area that I had left since her in hopes that maybe they might come up on her.

Now as I paced around my throne room a million thoughts came to my mind what if she had been taken by rogues or hunters? she was all by herself and she could not shift properly into her wolf…

As anxiety was steadily creeping into my heart the doors of my throne room burst open to release the investigator Juliana who was rushing towards my direction with such speed that my sister that was there with me was equally worried as I was with the way she was breathing heavily that it seems like she was going to faint at any moment.

”Juliana, are you okay? you look like you’re going to pass out…“

She shook her head.

“It’s ok my Grace I’m more than fine and I have some news, however, they are both good and bad…”

My heart began to race immediately as soon as she said that and I had to calm myself down before I could ask her properly.

”Have they found any clue on getting my mate’s whereabouts?”

My sister placed her handle on my shoulder. I knew that this was her way of telling me to be calm, but there was no way I could be calm in this situation because the moment I asked that question Juliana’s eyes seemed to darken up for a moment.

“you see your grace that’s the good part of the news, we haven’t found a clue we have found out Koko’s actual whereabouts…”

As she said, her eyes darted over to the floor, breaking away from my gaze, and leaving me in further confusion. We have found my mate’s whereabouts, so what was the problem?

”But Juliana, this is great news. What could be so bad that could spoil this?”

My sister asked the question that was also running through my mind as she looked over to Juliana who was still hesitating for a moment as if she was calculating what to say before finally she looked up at us and took a huge breath.

“That’s actually where the bad part comes in, you see, Koko has been…”

”Koko is in the hospital!” A voice entering the room yelled.

My sister looked as if she was about to jump out of her shoe when Chester similarly burst into my throne room as Juliana had done a few minutes ago. Suddenly I felt my hands and legs trembling so hard, but I had to keep myself in order.

” Then what are we still doing here?”

There was no more time to waste of course she would be in the hospital, I imagined those monsters probably tortured her when she was under them and she had only barely been able to escape I was somewhat relieved that she was in the hospital, now where she would probably be treated.

I drove like the road was caving in and I had to be called back to reality by my sister several times so that I would not end up taking us to our early graves with the way I was driving. At one point for the sake of us still having our lives Chester had to convince me to let him take the wheels.

At first, I was extremely reluctant about it, but then when Luci and Juliana also put their voices in, I realized that I was not in an emotionally stable condition to be on the wheel, all I did was tell Chester that he should still hurry.

There was this burning sensation inside me that told me that I had to come quickly, now that I have had s3x my mate, being away from her for this long felt as if I was being stabbed in my heart with every second that passed and I needed to relieve the pain by seeing her.

Finally, we arrived at the hospital some hours later and I rushed in quickly asking for my mate. The blonde lady looked at me and she immediately recognized me. She was about to give me the due welcome and honour, but I did not care about those right now, so I quickly asked her if my mate was truly in that hospital.

“But sir ….that woman has been discharged.”
