Chapter 91

Alpha Niyol’s POV

After we arrived at the hospital, hope had been brimming in my heart, hope that was soon about smashed to the ground after I learned that my mate was no longer in the hospital and the only information that they had about the person that brought her was that her name was Eve.

“How far should I send out the warriors to look for any woman named Eve? I had confirmed with the Doctor that she was definitely a member of this pack.”

My Beta had suggested to me, but I quickly waved off the idea, if I were to do that, rumors might spread and the Eve woman might go into hiding.

I had no idea if she was just a kind stranger who had claimed to be my mate’s guardian to help her or someone who was just trying to take advantage of her condition.

No wonder I had been feeling severe pain since I came to this pack, if I had been a regular wolf, I would have fallen to my knees because of the pain that was rushing through me gripping every fiber of my being and crushing every bone inside my body.

But I was walking and talking normally as much as I could manage at least, if I was in pain right now that means that my mate was also in pain and there was no time to think of myself when she was probably in danger.

“So what do we do then to find Koko, brother?” my sister Luci asked.

The answer was clear to me.

“Since she is now with that Eve woman, that means she is somewhere in this pack meaning that…”

“You’ll be able to find her just with mate bond without raising any alarms…”

Juliana completed the thought that I was having in my mind.

“Yes,” I confirmed it.

But then the moment I said yes and was about to start looking for my mate, I found out that the pain in my body was beginning to fade, then cold shivers began to run up my body.

“Brother, what’s wrong?”

Laci called, then suddenly I felt my legs becoming as soft as jelly and my head totally light as a feather, before I could grab onto my surroundings again. I saw that I had suddenly lost my balance and was about to fall when my beta grabbed my hand and threw it over his shoulder.

“Your Majesty!” He called and it was as if he was calling me from a thousand miles away.

“Don’t worry about me, I need to find Koko…”

But then as I tried to take another step, it was as if the whole ground beneath my became slippery that I could barely keep my balance and I had to rely on my Beta again.

Why was this thing happening now? Now that I was about to find Koko?

“Your majesty, I think you should rest here. You have been really stressed out looking for your mate. I guess that is why you are like this…”Juliana, the investigator said, and I did not even have enough energy to argue with her.

As much as it pained me, with the sudden condition that I had fallen into I would only be dragging everybody back if I were to follow them. So I was admitted into the hospital while my Beta and the others went to discreetly search for my mate.

It was so frustrating, I had come all the way here just to be bedridden, Koko needed me now more than ever, but I was struggling to even lift a finger.

I told them to bring me their best doctor and then Dr. Brian was summoned, after they had run some tests on me he came back and said with a straight face.

“The tests show that you are healthy and strong…” He said, but then his eyes quickly reflected the confusion that was also in mine before he asked me.

“Do you have a mate?”

“I do.” I said to him,

“Can I ask how she’s doing now?“

At first, I did not see the value of that question, but then it quickly sunk in. If my body was suddenly suffering like this and there was nothing that the machines could find on me then that means that it was the mate pulling that was doing this to me.

Meaning that my mate was definitely in dang-

“I didn’t really think that she would do it…” The doctor suddenly interrupted my thoughts.

“Do what?”

Dr. Brian explained that he was the doctor in charge of koko’s case and he was the one who suggested that the woman Eve should take Koko to a herbalist.

“Was there really nothing you could have done for her?”

I could not help the way my voice was in fury, knowing that the doctors had given up on my mate, even though I was aware that it was probably not fully their fault that he could not handle the situation.

The doctor shook his head.

“So now you are telling me that it’s very possible that she might have even left this pack to find her a herbalist?”

If my mate was being treated by a herbalist,

then maybe her body was rejecting the treatment that would be the best way to explain why I was reacting like this.

“I need to find her…” I said, struggling to get out of the bed they had placed me on, just then the whole room began to spin and I felt a syringe sinking into my flesh.

“What you need right now is rest…” The doctor insisted, and suddenly my eyes got so heavy and it was hard to keep them open.

”Koko, I know you’re a fighter… please keep fighting till I come for you…” I said even though she was not even in front of me.

I missed her so badly that my heart felt like it was aching in my chest, but no matter how long or hard it was, I would find her.

I would not lose my mate again.
