Chapter 44

"Get out here and face me. Give me the information that I want. I want that d*ckhead that I was speaking to on the phone. Get out here and face me your p*ssy. You act all high and mighty on the phone. I'd like to see you say it to my face" doesn't take too kindly to people provoking him.

The brothers and Leilani all whoop at Gabriel's words. Connor has not seen Titan, so doesn't really get the joke. Anyone that has seen Titan knows that one look is enough to scare even the strongest person and, while he is a gentle soul, he is tough as nails and Andrea looks at her mate who is looking at the gate with blazing eyes. She has a smile on her face that equals the others on the other side of the phone, but she places a calming hand on his chest.

Andrea: "So what is the plan? What do you want us to do Lani?"

Lani: "You did well with the phone call. Do you just want to take the reins on this one or do you want me to tell you what to do?"

Titan: "If you trust us, I can handle it"

Andrea: "We can handle it"

Andrea hangs up the phone but Hudson already has out his laptop with the security cameras of the front entrance on screen. The seven gather around and watch.

Titan is about to step forward, but Andrea shakes her head and motions for him to stay hidden. As she walks forward with timid steps, she is a confident girl, but she wants to put on a show for everyone, to thank Lani for trusting them to continue the game. Gabriel looks at the petite woman in front of him. She is 5'2" and for a she wolf, she is incredibly small, most teenagers overtaking her in height, most of the new recruits assuming she is one of them even though she is over fifteen years their senior. She looks at Gabriel, her emerald eyes sparkling with mischief which Gabriel portrays as fear. Andrea rarely gets to have fun. Her job is very serious and people require her to be serious most of the time, so scheming and joining in on a play is the most relaxing thing she has done in a while.

Or maybe she just has a childish heart to go with her childish stature.

Titan just stands at the sidelines watching on. Gabriel immediately assumes that he can seduce the little girl in front of him. Her look surprises him. He didn't know what he was expecting to find at elite training, but it wasn't someone as small as this. How have they survived to this point? Leilani would nearly have been bigger than her when she got sent all those years ago. He has been trying to remember what she was even like back then, but all he can picture is her name and her hair. That is the only thing that's stuck in his mind. There was nothing of value to remember.

Andrea feels the urge to gag as she looks at the glint in Gabriel's eye. Of course, she has seen it many times before. She has received it many times before and going anywhere with Leilani. She cannot count the time she has seen it before. She cannot believe the id*ot in front of her thinks that he is so amazing that every girl will be putty in his hands. What type of scumbag is Leilani fated to? Hearing about it and seeing it with her own eyes is different. Her opinion is so low of him that if she looked up she could see rock bottom.

Andrea opens her mouth to speak before he says something that makes her open the gate and punch him in the face, ruining her whole evil scheme. Evil hilarious scheme. She tries hard to keep the big smile off her face and Titan hiding behind the walls, just shakes his head with a smile on his face, beyond her joy coming through the link knowing that she is about two seconds off blowing the whole thing.

"Are you the one that called yesterday morning?"

"Yes, that was me. What do you know about it?"

"It was my mate that took the call"

Gabriel has the urge to laugh as he looks at the tiny woman. Just says he suspected some little weakling took the call. Thoughts of trying to seduce a girl fly out the window. It is too much like hard work to seduce past a mate bond. Gabriel just waves his hand dismissively at Andrea.

"Well why don't you run along and get your little mate, so I can have a little conversation with him"

Gabriel grabs his fist, popping the knuckles in an aggressive fashion, and Andrea nearly loses it. Titan has to go in there and soothe the whole situation and save his mate from ruining the whole play.

Connor watches the screen in stunned silence as Titan appears, understanding what the joke was earlier. Looking at the little tiny Andrea, who looks like a child standing next to Gabriel, seeing her mate is beyond expectations. Usually, mates are of about the same blood value, reasonably similar in size, reasonably similar in age, but Titan, compared to Andrea, is like a kitten mated to a tiger.

Titan walks toward his mate on long legs. Muscles pulling everywhere. His shirt stretched to the extreme, even finding pants to fit his incredible leg muscles is quite a mission. Andrea often having to re-sew seams that have busted out from his basic movements. Titan stands in front of Gabriel. The top of Gabriel's head barely even reaching Titan's chin and he looks about twice as wide. His shoulders are so large. It looks like Andrea could use it as a bed and fit her entire length. He is an absolute powerhouse and with his black eyes and sharp looking features, he looks dangerous. Everything about Titan is intimidating. It isn't till you get to know that he's just a gentle giant, but at first glance, especially the way Gabriel approached the gate aggressively, Titan isn't given him any of the gentle vibes. Aggression can only be countered with aggression.

Just to make sure that Gabriel knows the situation, Titan wraps an arm around Andrea's waist. The top of Andrea's head barely comes up to Titans n*pples, but she fits perfectly against him.

"Yes, I received the phone call. Is there a problem?"

Gabriel can only stare at the man in stunned silence. The man in front of him is without a doubt the biggest man that he has ever seen. Gabriel has grown up always been the biggest and strongest. It is not until now when he comes across other alphas that he is similar in size, but he is always comparable. In front of this man he feels like nothing.

Leilani looks at Connor with a smile in her eyes.

"That is the man that greeted me at the gate. Well, he greeted all of us at the gate on our very first day of elite training, so you can imagine that we had no doubt that our lives were over"

Connor can only imagine what it would've been like as a fourteen-year-old facing that man, to face him after just being abandoned by their packs would feel like their fate was sealed. Leilani rests her head against Connor's shoulder.

"But that giant man showed us more compassion and the meaning of family than anyone else has in our lives. That is why we should never judge a book by its cover. Just because Titan looks scary, doesn't mean he is. Just the same as Gabriel looks gentle, it definitely doesn't mean that he is"

Connor kisses the top of Leilani's head as they watch on.

Titan looks at the man in front of him that was acting or high and mighty only moments before and now seems to be struck mute. It is not like he has never had that reaction. He is obviously not the most warm-looking welcoming party. He has seen countless fear- filled eyes, but for Gabriel, he actually takes pleasure in the fear. Because the goddess knows Gabriel deserves it. Titan's voice is just as powerful as the man.

"I asked you if there is a problem?"

Gabriel comes back to his senses, lowering his aggressive vibe to nothing.

"Hi, my name is Alpha Gabriel from the half moon pack. I'm still enquiring about the death of Leilani"

"As I told you on the phone, we don't hand out information about our attendees for privacy concerns"

Gabriel forgets about Titan's stature as his frustration grows.

"Look, I've driven all the way here. I want to confirm whether she is dead or not. Is it that hard? You must have some sort of records if I could just....."

"Did I not just say that we don't release information? Are you trying to say that you were just going to look at our records?"

"I need to know what happened to her"

"I said we don't release information"

Andrea looks at the men who have aggressive stances facing each other. She is wondering when they're going to rip out their d*cks and have a measuring competition. The argument just keeps going around in circles and is really ripping the joy out of the situation. "I'm not leaving here until I have confirmed her fate"

Andrea put a hand on Titan's chest, stopping his next words. She looks up at Titan like she is seriously considering the question.

"Hmm Leilani, was that the really gorgeous girl?"

Gabriel answers before Titan even has a chance to play into Andrea's game.

"No, she was plain and weak"

Gabriel looks at Andrea with hope.

"She had white blonde hair, she was dirty and always had her head lowered, her face was average at best, nothing really defining about it, just average, plain and boring. Do you remember her?"

This time Titan has to hold Andrea back, while all that's running through Titan's head is either Gabriel's wrong or thousands of men that admire Leilani are wrong.

Six boys watching the screen want to jump directly through the screen and beat Gabriel down. Whereas Leilani just shrugs it off. She is a long way off caring what Gabriel thinks about her. It affects her little if he thinks that she's the ugliest woman to have ever lived. Andrea no longer finds this entertaining, as it no longer brings her joy, just anger.

"Please leave the premises. There is nothing for you to find here"

Titan nods and the couple walk away from Gabriel without a second thought. Gabriel bangs on the gate for another hour, but no one entertains him at all. No one even casts him a glance.
