Moss sneered, his voice cold.

“I don’t give a damn who you are, nephew or not.

I’ve got someone I love, just like you.

I’ve protected her for two decades until I’m gray and old.

Now, I’ve finally found the perfect test subject.

And if anyone tries to interfere with her resurrection, I’ll kill them!”

His eyes blazed red; he looked crazy.

Despite seeing Moss’ madness, Bennett tried to maintain his composure, even resorting to feigned pleas for Ariana’s safety.

But Moss was unyielding, trying to convince Bennett and Holden to give up before ending the video, leaving Bennett and Holden staring at each other with grim expressions.

Holden couldn’t contain himself any longer.

He took a deep breath and turned to Bennett.

“How do we get in touch with outsiders from here? I’ll call someone to blow this whole place up!”

“Are you crazy, too?” Bennett shot back.

“Blowing this place up won’t solve anything.

This metal box is blast-proof.

Plus, if we make the first move, Moss will go ballistic.

It’s just not worth the risk.

Holden’s expression twisted into a grimace.

He pondered whether Bennett was deliberately making things difficult for him.

With a fierce glare directed at Bennett, he snapped, “Alright, what’s your plan now? Do we really have to wait until tomorrow? By then, it’ll be too late!”

Bennett remained silent, seemingly lost in thought or simply at a complete loss.

Holden was convinced Bennett was stumped.

He had been waiting for what felt like an eternity, and if Bennett was genuinely thinking of a plan, he would have spoken up by now.

Holden’s frustration turned into anger.

He punched the wall with his fist, but he still didn’t feel satisfied.

So, he began kicking it instead, thinking this place was cursed.

Every second spent here felt like torture for him.

As he dwelled on it, he started to feel more uncomfortable.

He took a deep breath, trying to gather his wits and remind himself not to act impulsively.

Just then, Bennett stepped in front of the camera, his tall frame blocking it.

He signaled Holden not to panic and let out a heavy sigh as if resigned to fate.

Turning his side to the monitor, he raised his voice deliberately.

“Let’s forget it.

Let’s rest first.

If Ariana can’t be saved, it’s her destiny.

I’m at peace with that.

Holden just stared at Bennett, totally confused.

Bennett offered no further explanation and simply turned around, gesturing for Holden to follow him.

Bennett led Holden to B4.

Though Bennett wasn’t exactly chummy with Moss, he had his own quarters in this metallic labyrinth.

As Bennett and Holden pushed open the door, they entered an immaculate room.

The quilt on the bed was perfectly folded, and the sheets were smooth.

It was clear Bennett hadn’t spent much time in here before.

Bennett took a moment to survey the room, ensuring everything was as it had been before.

Then, he turned to Holden and said, “There are no surveillance cameras or listening devices in here, so we can talk freely.

After that, Bennett crouched down, pulled open a drawer, and began sifting through its contents.

He retrieved a variety of bottles and an array of colorful Liquids and powders.

He then arranged everything neatly on the table.

Holden, observing Bennett’s actions, raised an eyebrow in confusion.

“What’s the plan, Bennett?” he asked.
