Bennett smiled proudly at Holden.

He then urged Holden to leave.

As Holden prepared to knock on the wall, Bennett intervened, saying, “No need for that.

Let’s move to the next room and unlock it.

They hurried out of the room, navigating the dimly lit corridor until they found the switch.

After a click, a password box popped out.

Bennett used the mold to unlock the door.

But upon opening it, he only found Adrian unconscious in the room; there was no sign of Ariana.

Within the confines of the cage, Adrian was in a coma.

Seeing this, Holden was shocked.

Without hesitation, Holden rushed to Adrian’s side.

The impeccable soundproofing had prevented Holden and Bennett from overhearing what had happened earlier.

They didn’t know why the previously locked cage now had its door open, with the lock missing.

Filled with concern for Adrian, Holden shook him, hoping to awaken him, but his efforts were in vain.

Adrian was motionless.

Frustration surged through Holden, prompting him to raise his hand and deliver repeated slaps to Adrian’s face.

Finally, Adrian stirred, his cheeks red.

Seeing this, Holden let out a sigh of relief.

But then, he frowned.

“Why are there two Large cages here? I thought you were with Ariana.

Where did she go? And why is there dried blood on your nose and clothes?” Holden’s questions poured out one after another.

However, Adrian didn’t answer his questions.

At that moment, the drug became effective, sending Adrian into a hallucinatory state.

Mistaking Holden for his wife Jennifer, Adrian giggled and said, “Darling, come hug and ki*s me.

Thankfully, Holden reacted swiftly, pushing Adrian away as he leaned in for a ki*s.

Holden stood up, but Adrian clung to his leg, complaining, “Honey, why won’t you let me ki*s you? Have I done something wrong?”

Upon hearing these words, Holden felt resigned.

He asked Adrian to see him clearly and told him that he was not his wife.

But as soon as the words left Holden’s lips, tears streamed down Adrian’s face as he cried out, “If you’re not my wife, then who is? Jennifer, I miss you so much.

Please don’t leave me! Please!”

Watching the scene, Bennett chuckled, convinced that Adrian’s hallucinations were induced by Moss’ drugs.

“Enough with the laughter.

We need to figure out how to handle this.

”

Holden turned to Bennett.

“I’m at a loss now.

How can I identify which drug Moss gave Adrian, especially with his extensive inventory?” Bennett leaned against the iron bars, a smirk playing on his lips.

“I could potentially concoct an antidote for Adrian.

But remember, if my treatment fails, he might go from being confused to being dead.

”

Holden was speechless, regretting asking Bennett.

With time pressing, Holden ignored Bennett’s mockery and focused on trying to bring Adrian back to his senses.
