Holden remained silent, only nodding to signal the doctor to Leave.

Once he was alone with Ariana, Holden’s expression softened.

He sat by Ariana’s bedside, tenderly stroking her hair and ki*sing her hand, feeling grateful she was still with him.

“I’LL wait for you to wake up,” Holden whispered, holding her hand tightly.

His voice was thick with emotions as he vowed, “No matter how long it takes, I won’t lose you again.

”

The news of Ariana’s return spread swiftly, and by nightfall, her friends and relatives had all come to see her.

When Melon entered the ward, he instantly sensed something was amiss, as he found his mother in a coma.

Overwhelmed, he broke down crying, and no one was able to comfort him.

“Don’t cry, Melon.

Everything will be okay.

” Adele attempted to soothe him, wiping away his tears with the sleeve of her shirt.

Yet, as she comforted him, she also began to cry.

Seeing Adele in tears, Melon quickly tried to dry her eyes as well.

They comforted each other while crying.

Outside the room, as he watched the siblings comforting one another, Holden was struck by a sudden realization.

He exchanged a meaningful glance with Shawn, motioning for a private conversation outside.

Holden assigned Shawn two tasks.

The first was to organize a DNA test for Ariana and Adele.

Holden had conducted an investigation into the fire that had occurred during Ariana’s childbirth five years ago.

The fire had been deliberately set by someone, and though it was too late to identify the perpetrator now, understanding the relationship between Ariana and Adele might provide leads to the culprit.

In fact, Holden’s priority had shifted; uncovering the arsonist was less important than ensuring Ariana and the children were safe by his side.

After Shawn nodded, Holden told him about the second task.

“I need you to delve into the connections between Ariana and the Chadwick family.

It seems she might be Rodney’s granddaughter,”

Holden said coldly.

Initially, Holden had dismissed Moss’ statements as mere ramblings.

However, since fleeing the metal house, those words had haunted him, surfacing in his dreams.

Holden’s words stunned Shawn into silence.

After a brief pause, he blurted out, “Wait, does this mean Mitchel will be crushed? His crush turns out to be his cousin!”

Holden’s sharp gaze silenced Shawn, who quickly covered his mouth and nodded, hurrying away to undertake his tasks.

Meanwhile, in another hospital room.

Jennifer was struggling to cope.

She took deep, steady breaths, repeatedly reminding herself to remain composed.

Despite her efforts, she couldn’t ignore the strangeness of the situation as she looked at Adrian.

How could the situation be this absurd?

Adrian was completely different now, his actions hardly appearing human.
