Sadie attempted an escape, but the moment she burst through the door, a bodyguard obstructed her way.

She erupted in fury, gnashing at the bodyguard’s arm, yanking his hair, and clutching his clothes.

Despite her days of outbursts, the bodyguard remained indifferent to her tantrums.

He seized her by the collar, determined to haul her back to her hospital bed.

Sadie was not about to surrender after her brief taste of freedom.

Her fingers clung to the doorframe, refusing to relent.

Driven to desperation, she thrust her head into the hallway and yelled for anyone who might hear.

“Help! Someone’s trying to r@pe me! Call Holden, quick!”

Passersby glanced her way at the commotion, but they merely continued on their way after a fleeting Look.

“How can you all ignore me? Do you know who I am?” Sadie screamed, her eyes ablaze with fury.

“Look at me! I’m Sadie, the woman Holden loves!”

While she fought to maintain her grip, the bodyguard diligently worked to pry her fingers loose from the doorframe.

Realizing her pleas were falling on deaf ears, Sadie turned to the bodyguard, her face streaked with tears and snot.

“Please, just let me go.

I swear I’ll repay you!” she implored, her knees buckling.

Yet, the bodyguard’s face showed no emotion as he firmly pulled Sadie away from the door.

Soon after, two nurses arrived and administered a sedative to Sadie.

Sadie resisted as much as she could but to no avail.

Once sedated, Sadie curled up in a corner, her gaze vacant, lost in a world of her own.

“You’re all so cruel, treating me like this,” she muttered, glancing at her bloodied fingernails.

“I’m Holden’s woman, destined to be his wife… How dare you treat me so poorly? I’ll tell Holden…”

Her voice dwindled, her frame

shivering.

In the room, one nurse was noticeably robust, the other slim.

The robust nurse, overhearing Sadie’s muttering, clicked her tongue.

“This woman is completely out of her mind,” she said to the other nurse.

The slim nurse, a blend of sympathy and censure in her voice, covered her mouth and murmured, “She really did bring this on herself, having done so many bad things.

”

“This is the outcome of her interfering in other people’s relationship,” added the robust nurse.

“Sadie has been a constant troublemaker, asking for Mr.

Fredrick and still harboring fantasies.

It’s absurd.

With Holden’s real love back, she is nothing now.

”

“Miss Edwards is indeed fortunate; her future seems promising.

” The smaller nurse sighed.

As they gossiped, the robust nurse remarked on how Ariana had been rescued by Holden.

She then said to Sadie, “People should take a page out of Miss Edwards’ book.

Then maybe they’d find a man as rich and handsome as Mr.

Fredrick to take care of them.

”

The slender nurse nudged her subtly, signaling her to lower her voice.

Sadie, previously lost in her thoughts, had been oblivious to the nurses’ conversation.

However, her attention snapped back at the mention of Ariana and Holden rescuing her.

She turned her gaze toward the nurses.
