Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence -
Chapter 1735
The crowd buzzed with anticipation, eager to win one of the prizes.
Mitchel, however, had his sights set solely on the jade figurine, dismissing the lesser rewards without a second thought.
Mitchel signaled the bartender over.
As the bartender leaned in, Mitchel listed several bottles of wine he wanted to purchase, his voice calm.
The bartender’s eyes widened in shock.
The brands Mitchel requested were staggeringly expensive.
Any one of those bottles could buy an ordinary person a house.
The bartenders quickly relayed the orders of the customers, and the total amounts flashed on the large screen in real time.
To keep the energy at its peak, the DJs pumped up the music.
The women with costumes emerged again, now clad in even more provocative attire, their bodies moving in unison with the throbbing beats that shook the floor beneath them.
The atmosphere reached a fever pitch, with everyone on their feet, cheering and clapping as the night built towards its electrifying climax.
“Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven…”
As the countdown reached zero, bursting sounds erupted from the ceiling, and the bar was soon filled with colorful confetti and sweet fragrances.
The crowd erupted in joy, some guests fainting from the sheer excitement.
Bartenders swiftly and discreetly carried the overwhelmed patrons backstage for emergency care.
Amid the chaos, one man stood out.
Mitchel winced at the cacophony of screams and cheers.
He didn’t like this kind of place.
The noise and spectacle were too overwhelming, and he made a mental note to have his assistant handle such events in the future.
As the excitement subsided, the large screen ceased displaying the spending totals.
The emcee stepped forward, microphone in hand, ready to announce the winners.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please pay attention! We are about to announce the winner of our first prize for our bar’s Christmas event.
” The emcee’s voice trembled with excitement as he read the name of the first-prize winner.
He turned to Mitchel.
“Congratulations to the gentleman in seat AQ1!”
ALL eyes turned to Mitchel as a spotlight locked onto him, its blue beam cutting through the dimly lit room.
The light lingered on him as if it had finally found its rightful target.
As the emcee’s voice resonated over the loudspeaker, announcing the result, the crowd erupted in genuine applause.
The people in the room knew that Mitchel had spent a significant amount of money, solidifying his victory.
However, Mitchel remained an island of calm amidst the sea of excitement.
His expression was inscrutable, as if the jubilant clamor and flashing lights had no effect on him.
In a shadowy corner of the bar, the female bartender, who had previously judged Mitchel, was stunned.
She spat out the wine in her mouth in shock, her colleagues around her grimacing at the unexpected spray.
She had misjudged Mitchel entirely.
It turned out she was the one who was poor, not Mitchel.
Among the throng of single women in the bar, many had not noticed Mitchel before, while some had already been rejected by him.
Now, as the spotlight was on Mitchel, who had spent a fortune for the first prize, their interest was piqued.
Since Mitchel was sitting by himself, the women all wanted to get close to him.
However, Mitchel paid no attention to the flurry of interest around him, his focus on the soap opera playing on his phone.
In the fifth episode, the plot thickened as the heroine secretly took a job at a bar, unaware that the hero would find her there.
When a man tried to harass her, the hero intervened, delivering a beating that left the man crying.
“How can he stay so detached with all those stunning women flocking around him?” someone in the crowd murmured, their voice tinged with disbelief.
The question sparked a chorus of whispers.
Yet, Mitchel remained impassive, his expression unchanging as he continued to watch his phone.
It wasn’t until the emcee began to announce the raffle that Mitchel finally lifted his head.
“Let’s congratulate Mr.
Chadwick from booth AQ1 for winning the first prize!” The emcee’s voice rang out, cutting through the anticipation with a flourish.
For the first time tonight, Mitchel’s somber expression softened into a smile-a smile so radiant that it captivated all the women around him, deepening their interest in him.
