Evangeline could not keep quiet any longer. "Need me to try calling him?"

She had just been with Walter earlier that morning for a pre-pregnancy check-up and knew it was unlikely he would be in a meeting so critical that he could not take a call. Evangeline's offer to help was driven more by curiosity than goodwill, though. Without waiting for Lydia's go-ahead, Evangeline dialed Walter's number.
