Wedding Day Vampire
Chapter 72

I was still with John on the bed when the sun began to rise, and his window was wide open. He had gone to open it in the night to let some fresh air in as we continued making love. I was too involved in the moment to even realize the serious implications of what that would have on me in the morning.

The moon looked so pretty from the window, I thought as I continued kissing him, and there we lay until the morning time, when the blazing sun came out.

It was the smell of my own burning flesh that woke the both of us up, the sun rays had entered through the windows and came to meet me where I slept, when I realized what was happening, I quickly ran over to shut the windows, but John had already seen everything.

“Your skin is on fire, you’re smoking Marylin!!” What is happening to you? he exclaimed.

I looked at him, holding his blanket over me to cover my naked body, I didn’t even know where to start explaining. He kept on looking at me, with shock in his eyes that were now widened.

“Are you a witch or something? And why did you close the windows?”

It would probably be a good time to wipe his memory now, I thought to myself, but with all that had been happening between us the past few months, and with the passion we shared last night, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.

I began to tell him everything, I knew I wasn’t supposed to, but John was now a special part of my life now, and if I wanted to keep things real between us, he had to know who I was and where I came from.

He sat there, listening to every word I said, and when I finished telling him that I was a vampire, he reacted in the way I least expected.

“I love you Marylin,” he said to me. “I meant what I said last night, and I don’t care whatever you are, even if you’re a witch, it still doesn’t change the way I feel about you.”

“Do you really mean it? I asked him, unable to stop the tears that were already running down my face.”

“Yes, I do.”

“Thank you for sharing your secret with me, he continued. I promise not to tell anyone.”

I jumped back into his arms and kissed him with so much passion. I decided there and then that I was going to tell Derick about us when I returned to the castle, and I was going to move in with John into his little house.

It was a Saturday, and John hadn’t gone to work today, so he stayed with me indoors and made sure that all the windows were closed shut, while we continued talking about ourselves and making out in between.

I got to know that he was an only child, and he was very close with his parents and all his relatives, he always visited them regularly, and sometimes they even came here too. With the way he sounded, he seemed to be pretty close to this family of his, as he talked about them more than he did himself. I thought that since we were alone, we would be able to talk about things we couldn’t discuss in his workplace where other people could hear us, things like me being a vampire and all, but he was so interested in always discussing about his family, that I didn’t want to hurt his feelings so I didn’t complain.

When it was evening, it became time for me to go home as I had whiled away the morning and afternoon with John in his house and now it was safe for me to go outside again.

I put on my clothes and kissed him for one last time before returning to the castle. I didn’t bother to check on the others when I returned as I knew that they might still be asleep; it was only evening.

I kept on reminiscing on the passionate moment I had with my Johnnie, and this made me absent minded, so absent minded, that I didn’t even notice Derick was in my room when I entered and I kept on thinking of what had happened between me and John. He saw the excitement on my face, and was curious to find out where I had been, so he began reading my thoughts; and what he saw in my head shattered his heart into a million pieces.
