“Aren’t you taking them?” Matthew frowned.

Stella took them and said, “Thank you.

“You’re welcome Matthew paused for a second and added, “It’s nothing.

This is just to improve your work efficiency.

His actions seemed like a mere kind gesture.

But when he added those last words, he sounded as if he was trying to hide something.

Matthew sensed it too.

He looked away, put his hands into his pockets, and trotted into the building.

Stella was rooted to the spot.

She stared blankly at the Band-Aids in her hand.

Although Matthew tried to make it seem like it wasn’t a big deal, it actually was.

She couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was caring for her more than a boss should.

It appeared things would soon start spiraling out of her control.

To stop that from happening, she decided to keep a distance from Matthew when she wasn’t working.

Stella was exhausted by the time she got home that night.

As she toed off her shoes, she saw the Band-Aids on her feet.

She couldn’t wait to tell Miley all about her crappy day.

In the Living room, she met Miley seated on the sofa with her arms wrapped around herself while staring at the phone on the table.

Stella instantly got worried.

“What’s wrong? Why do you look so pale? Are you ill? Do you have work troubles?”

As she spoke, she reached out to touch Miley’s forehead.

Her temperature was normal.

” Miley held her hand.

“I checked your design and made an appointment with a model whom I thought would be perfect for the job.

However, she told me today that someone already hired her for the competition at a high price.

I don’t know what to do.

Miley looked both angry and frustrated.

Stella couldn’t help frowning at this development.

Their success in the upcoming KlassicLuxe fashion design competition was dependent on a few things; the choice of a model was one of them.

They had to get one as soon as possible, but being anxious or complaining wasn’t going to help.

Stella got her act together and comforted her friend.

“The competition isn’t happening tomorrow, is it? There are countless models.

I’m sure we will be able to find the right one for the job soon.
