Honestly, she wasn't even sure why she ended up here. Perhaps, she should have never come in the first place.

The butler was right, with Evelina around, there was hardly a place for her. Did Lucian not always rave about Evelina's soup in the past?

Not long after Lemira left, Lucian returned to his hospital room.

Noticing the flowers in the trash can by the door, he asked without thinking, "Who's been here?"

The butler replied calmly, "Just some nobody. I've sent them away so they won't disturb your rest." Evelina brought over a thermos, "Lucian, try the soup I made. Do you think it's gotten better?" Lucian tasted it, "Mm-hmm, it's definitely improved, Eve. You've put in a lot of effort."

Yet, deep down, he couldn't help but reminisce about the nutritious dish Lemira used to make.

He had always taken for granted the care and affection from Lemira. Unfortunately, he had become so accustomed to it that he overlooked Lemira's efforts!

He had been filled with regret lately, realizing he had done many things that hurt Lemira.

Seeing Lucian's reaction, Evelina felt a tinge of discomfort and said, "Lucian, I've got something to tell you. Lemmy has been streaming lately."

"Streaming to make money?" Lucian felt a pang of discomfort.

Lemira should have been living comfortably, without the need to work part-time, let alone stream for cash.

The streaming world was, after all, a mixed bag.

Evelina nodded, "Yes, but she joined PixelStage, which is a competitor of Alaric's VibeCast. If Alaric finds out, he's going to be furious."

Lucian replied coolly, "Let him be mad. He deserves it for driving Lemmy away!"

Evelina was taken aback by Lucian's stance. She had expected Lucian to side with Alaric, condemning Lemira for joining a rival platform and seemingly opposing their family! She even thought Lucian would confront Lemira, pressuring her to quit streaming.

That was the outcome she had hoped for. But Lucian didn't react as she had anticipated.
