Jess’s POV

“Well this is a little unexpected.” I said to the group. Sophie is sitting next to Roy, who looks like the happiest man on earth but also like he is so nervous to be with his new mate at the same time he is trying to apologize to his ex-mate. Roy looks up at me and I could tell he has a million things running in his mind. “Jess, I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness for the past but I do hope we can one day become friends like when we were kids.” Roy looked down with nothing but guilt and hurt in his eyes. I looked at my mates, the twins, and Sophie before I answered him. “Roy. Alex.” They stiffened at the sound of their names. “I actually forgave you all a long time ago. Raphael, Jorge, and Ryan helped me.” I took out the letters from my pocket. I handed one to Roy and the other to Alex.

“I was actually thinking of coming back to make peace, but I didn’t have the strength or the nerve to set foot in Red Moon. Odette helped me write these letters for each of you, but again I was scared to send them.” Alex clutches his letter tightly in his hands. I could feel he was scared to open it. Since the last letter I gave him was a letter of goodbye.

“I honestly didn’t know how you would feel about me or how I felt about opening up to you again. So I just kept pushing it off. Until Raphael asked me about Red Moon coming for the tournament and Luna ceremony. I thought if I was with my new family I would be stronger to speak my mind and talk things out. Until I ran into Alex at the party.” Alex looked down as if to remember our encounter. “I got so caught up in meeting the triplets that I couldn’t brace myself for dealing with you at the party. I am sorry for yelling at you Alex.” I said with a smile.

Alex snapped his head up and his eyes widened in shock. “You have no need to apologize Jess. I should have given you your space when you asked the first time. I was too blinded by the fact that I finally found you.” Now it was my turn to be confused. “What do you mean ‘you finally found me’, Alex?” Alex smiled a bit as she looked at me. “The day you left and we read your letter. I felt like a part of me was gone. Then I got a big scolding from my wolf, Spike, because of how I treated you. I have been looking for you for the last 5 years Jessabelle. I have wanted to also make peace and have my twin back. Our parents and I couldn’t truly be happy until we saw you again. My mate helped me along the way to and has been dying to meet you.” I looked around the table. “Where is your mate Alex.” “Oh she forgot something in the room for Luna Odette, so she went to grab that and will be right back.” He said. I nodded and turned to Roy.

“Roy, I would also like to apologize to you as well. I should have not been so cold when we saw each other this morning.” Roy shook his head. “You had every right to be cold. I wasn’t the best person to you since my mother died. I was the reason you left, and I am so so sorry for causing you that pain back then. I didn’t know that the mate bond was that strong otherwise I would have made sure you accepted my rejection before I did that.” He looked down ashamed and embarrassed to be saying this to me in front of his second chance mate, Sophie.

“Well now that we have all said that we are sorry. Want to start over as friends?” I asked and both of the boys’ faces were lit up like a Christmas tree. “That was what we were thinking while watching the tournament.” Roy said. “I was also wondering if we could fix our bond as well Jess.” Alex said. I wondered that too. I asked my wolf before answering him. “Midnight, could our bond with Alex and his wolf be fixed? It has been closed for so long.” “It can, but you too will have to do a b***d bond once his wolf and I open the connection between us.” I nodded and turned to Alex.

“Midnight said that our bond can be fixed, but you and I have to do a b***d bond as our wolves open the connection.” Alex jumped up looking so happy. I smiled as I reached in my right combat boot and pulled out a hidden knife. Roy looked surprised. “You carry a knife around in your boot?” he asked. I smirked and replied. “Yes, because a warrior is always prepared to fight, this may or may not be the only weapon on my person.” The boys were shocked, but Sasha and I chuckled. I stood up and went over to Alex. I cut my right palm and handed the knife to him. He cut his right palm as well. “Ok Midnight. We are ready, just say when.” I felt a pull towards Alex and then heard Midnight and a male wolf voice both say “Now!” Then Alex and I clamped our hands together and felt our bond reopen to what it was when we were kids again.

It felt like a bigger jolt of electricity went through our joined hands, then when I felt the tiny tingling sparks I feel when I touch my mates. When we let go of each other’s hand, Alex kind of bent down a bit to steady himself. I looked at Alex and tried mink linking him like we used to. “So do you think it worked big bro?” Alex snapped his head up to me and smiled so wide, you think he won the lottery. He laughed a bit and scooped me off the ground in a big old bear hug, twirling me around and mind linking me back. “Yes it did. I can hear my little sister’s voice in my head again. I don’t feel so alone anymore.” I giggled as he set me down and we took our seats again. A new face had join the table table and Alex was smitten to see her. “Jess this is my mate, Selena. Selena this is my twin sister, Jessabelle.”

Selena smiled at me and I smiled at her, knowing what she was thinking. “If I would have known you were the twin sister that Alex kept talking about Jess, I would have dragged you back to Red Moon with me for our wedding.” Selena said with a smirk and everyone at the table was shocked except for Selena and I. Alex snapped his head towards his mate. “You know Jess?!” Selena and I started laughing. “We met while she and I were both doing some traveling pack work in Spain. She helped me when I was having a tough time with the hotel booking because I couldn’t understand the clerk. They were speaking their Spanish way too fast.” Leo raised his eyebrow.

“You speak spanish princess” I smirked his way and said. “Sí, mi amor. Puedo hablar 5 idiomas si cuentas el inglés.” (Yes, my love. I can speak 5 languages if you count English.) Roy and Alex were shocked and impressed. Zero began to purr in my ear. “What did you say sweetheart?” “She said that she can speak 5 languages counting English.” Sophie said. “What other languages do you know honey?” Hero asked with sparkles of curiosity in his eyes. “I can speak English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese. I got a lot of overseas work from Raphael so I learned the main languages I dealt with.”

Alex was still baffled that I already knew his mate and that we became good friends. “So all this time Selena knew Jess?” Roy asked. “Yea, but whenever you guys would talk about her Alex always called her his sister, and you would always call her Jessabelle when talking to others. When I met Jess I thought it was short for Jessica or something, and she never told me her last name so I just never put two and two together.” Selena said and the rest of us started laughing. From there onward dinner went pretty well. Roy and Sophie were bonding pretty well as mates. I had missed out on so much with Roy and Alex that I really didn’t want this fun to end. I mind linked Raphael about what he said earlier at the tournament.

J: Hey Raphael. What are you and the others doing?

R: Odette and I are saying goodbye to the last few guests that are leaving tonight. Ryan and Jorge went to go put the kids to bed while Rose and Stella are helping some omegas clean gather dishes. Why?

J: Still wanna have that drinking party in my room?

R: The boys and I will, but the girls said they will take a rain check.

J: Ok, so it will be you, Ryan, Jorge, the triplets, the twins, Sophie, Roy, Alex, his mate Selena, and I.

R: Wait a minute? Roy and Alex of Red Moon? Why are they coming too?

J: I finally had the strength and nerve to forgive them and we are now all starting over as friends. Besides, Roy and Sophie found out that they are mates. They want to spend some more time getting to know each other.

R: Ok. I will make sure to grab some extra were-liquor then. Meet at your room around 10pm.

J: Alright, sounds like a plan.
