Hero’s POV

I woke up early to plan a special date for just me and Jessabelle. I wanted some time alone with her. ‘You just want to give her the chance to mark us like she did with Leo yesterday in his office.’ Loki snarked at me. I rolled my eyes at him. ‘Like you wouldn’t want that. If she marked us you would be connected even more to Midnight.’ I countered. He let out a huff.

I finished setting out the blanket and some clothes for us. Sasha told me she would bring over the basket with snacks and drinks for Jess and I to enjoy. I was feeling Leo trying to mind link me. So I opened my mind to let him in.

H: What’s up big brother?

L: Shianna is back. We are meeting in Zero’s office in 15 minutes.

H: Alright, I am on my way. Give me an extra 5 minutes. I am out by the falls right now.

L: Why are you all the way out there?

H: Just setting something special for our warrior luna. The calm before the storm as they say. Knowing mom and dad the Luna Ceremony will be all set up within the next few days.

L: True, in that case. We should set up a special dinner some time soon with all three of us to ‘pop the question together’. What do you think?

H: Sounds great. The three of us can talk about it later when she is busy training. See ya in a bit.

I cut the link before he went into a planning mode. I shifted and rushed back to the pack house. The sooner we met with Shianna and got the report, the sooner I could take my mate out on a nice lunch date. I get back and pull on some basketball shorts and a tank top from one of the stashes of clothes which we keep all over the pack lands.

Once I got to Zero’s office and saw that everyone was there except Jess. “Where is Jessabelle?” I asked. “She went for a run after morning training. I linked her and she should be here soon.” Sasha said. I run my hand through my hair and turn to grab a water bottle from the mini fridge. Just as I turned around the doors opened and Jess crashed right into me. ‘Owww, ok that hurt a bit.’ I said to Loki. She must have been running at full speed because she hit me with enough force to knock me down to the floor. I opened my eyes and she was right in front of my face.

I took a quick glance and saw that she landed completely on top of me. Straddling me in front of everyone. I felt myself becoming harder by the second. “Couldn’t wait for tonight to jump me honey?” I asked with a smirk. She was adorable and blushed a deep crimson red when she saw the positions we were in, and in front of everyone to boot. She tried to scramble off me, but I held her in place and nuzzled her neck. Then quick as a flash I tossed her up in the air and she squealed. I jumped to my feet and caught her bridal style.

“Hero!? I am not a rag doll to toss around.” she growled at me. I laughed. Her growl was more a purr compared to mine and my brothers. I leaned down to her ear and playfully growled, “As long as one of us is here to catch you, you should never worry about falling baby.” She shivered, seeing her react to everything we do to her is always a turn on. I heard someone clear their throat to pull us back to the real world.

“Think you guys can come back to the land of the living so we can get this meeting over with.” Sasha jokes. “Like your one to talk… How much of your time does Nathan take up now?” Jess asks with a smirk on her face. Sasha turns bright red and throws a nearby book at us. Jess laughs as she catches it with her powers. Sasha growls at the embarrassment. Everyone, except for Shianna, busts out laughing while Nathan pulls his spit fire of a mate into his lap.

I sit down with Jess in my lap. Shianna is looking at everyone in confusion. “You ok, Shianna?” I asked. She snapped her head to me and bowed. “Yes Alpha. I’m alright.” she said in a monotone voice. ‘Man can this girl sound anymore like a robot?’ Loki asked. I mentally shrugged my shoulders. ‘Looking at the scars on her body, I can take a guess she never really had a happy life at home.’ I answer back. He growls at the thought. As alphas we take pride in taking care of our entire pack as if they were family. To see an alpha do something like this, and to his own daughter at that, made me sick to my stomach. William is the kind of monster that gives true alphas a bad name.

“So how did things go with William, Shianna?” Leo asked. She looked in our direction, but never met our eyes. She always looked either at our lips or our chest. She turned from me to Leo and answered him. “William thought I was finally good for something. He agreed with the plan, so the rest of you can just move through the day like normal. He will not strike until her birthday in 3 months. I am to report to him at the end of every week.” I felt Jess tense up a bit.

“What is the matter honey?” I asked her. “Midnight. She wants to talk to your wolf.” Shianna straightens up and closes her eyes. Her breathing changed and then when she opened her eyes, they were different. It was like a mirror. The eye that was yellow was now silver and the eye that was silver was now yellow. “Luna.” She said as she bowed. I felt Jess’s breathing change as well. Then she got up and walked to Shianna. I sensed that Jess’s wolf wolf was in control.

Midnight lifted Shianna’s head so that she was looking into her eyes. “What is your name?” she asked. With Midnight in control Jess’s voice was slightly deeper and more graceful than her normal voice. Never breaking eye contact with Midnight, Shianna’s wolf answer. “My name is Silver, Luna.” Midnight smiled. “Silver, a fitting name. I would like to know. Does William know that Sabrina is alive?” Silver shakes her head. “No, but I know that he will have a couple of his trackers keep poking around. B***d or not, that monster doesn’t trust anyone. He is too far gone from sanity and I believe that if he succeeds in taking your powers Luna, then I fear William will destroy everything. Humans or Supernatural.” Midnight nods then turns to Sabrina.

“I think it would be best for you to train her in some underground training area for magic. If we can keep Sabrina as an ace up our sleeve we can catch them both unguarded for magic attacks.” Sabrina nodded “We will mostly be meditating to start with her magic energy. I will also place a protection spell on her before she leaves to report to William.” Midnight nodded and started walking back towards us, before Sabrina continued. “Though you should not take over Jess’s body often Midnight. The power that is held inside you right now is strong enough for a wolf, but Jess has just started training. Your aura can be too much for her human body for now.” Midnight looked to be in thought for a moment.

“That is true. I only needed to see this new wolf for myself. I feel no threat from her, but Jess has just made a home here. I would die before I let her lose it again.” I felt Loki howl and stir in my mind. I glanced at my brothers and it seems to affect their wolves too. Midnight’s Luna aura was crazy strong for the short time her powers were unlocked. Midnight returned Jess’s body to my lap before her aura completely changed back into Jess’s natural aura.

“Are you ok princess?” Leo asked. Jess turned to him and smiled. “I’m fine. Midnight is just very very protective over me and our past.” Then she turned Silver, who was still in control of Shianna’s body. “Even though you are new, Silver, I do not want you or Shianna to be cowardly in fear of me or my alphas. You have never lied to us, and the Moon Goddess has paired you with our beta for a mate. You are home now.” Jess said in a gentle voice. Silver’s eyes widened then she teared up. “Thank you Luna. I live to serve you and this pack. On my honor.” Silver said having a new determination look in her eyes.

“Well if that covers the William issue for now, I need to steal Jess for some ‘one on one’ time.” I said mischievously and scooped Jess up in my arms and rushed out. “Hero, hahahaha You can’t skip out on work and I have training.” She laughs out. Man I love it when she laughs and smiles. “True, but with the s**t show of the last fews days with this bastard, William. I think some fun is in order. It is time to stop and smell the roses.” I say with a dashing smile.
