Chapter 1082 Mr Chu Did That

There was complete silence in the cafe.

Time seemed to have stopped.

The only thing moving was the fresh blood slowly dripping down Xur Shao-Hua and Lu Ming-Feng's dead bodies.

These two probably never imagined they would end up this way.

But they couldn't blame anybody for their predicament. They were getting what they deserved.

If they had stopped themselves in time and left Jiangdong early like what Wu Wei-Tao advised them to instead of trying to kill Ye Fan and covet his wife, then the two of them might not have ended up like this. The two young men's deaths was a huge blow to everyone in the cafe.

Li Er and Lei San remained rooted to the floor.

Their faces were ashen.

From the moment the two scions died, Li Er and Lei San knew that this matter was going to blow up.

But while everyone else was still trying to recover from their shock, an old Audi A6 had just reached the hotel.

The car door opened and a middle aged man in a suit ran like a lunatic into the hotel, disregarding any image he had to maintain.

He soon found himself at the cafe on the sixth floor of the hotel.

"Mr Chu, please spare them!" yelled Wu Wei-Tao anxiously as he barged into the cafe.

But the minute Wu Wei-Tao set foot into the cafe, he saw Lu Ming-Feng and Xur Shao-Hua's bodies lying quietly in a pool of their own blood.

Wu Wei-Tao's face instantly turned pale. He didn't say a word and just cautiously stepped forward.

He bent over and placed a finger beneath their noses to see if they were still breathing.

When he realized they were both very dead, Wu Wei-Tao shuddered violently and felt like he had been struck by lightning.

He turned around to look at the calm looking Ye Fan standing behind him and asked in a stammering voice, "You...you... you...killed...th-them?" Ye Fan's lips curled upwards in to a cold smile.

"Why, you have a problem with that?" Those were such bone chilling words.

Everything that Wu Wei-Tao was angry about and wanted to complain about immediately disappeared after Ye Fan spoke so icily to him.

His face even started twitching uncontrollably out of fear.

He finally managed to reply quietly, "N-no, no problem..."

Ye Fan smiled.

He didn't care about Wu Wei-Tao's response at all anyway. Since he was done with Lu Ming-Feng and Xur Shao-Hua, Ye Fan turned and walked towards Qiu Mu-Cheng. "Mu-Cheng, let's go home."

All the murderous tension and iciness in the air immediately disappeared.

Ye Fan was back to looking like a harmless youth again.

A warm and friendly smile appeared on his handsome face.

He reached his arm out and put it around Qiu Mu-Cheng's waist, then walked out with her like that.

The respect and reverence that Li Er and Lei San had for Ye Fan had increased.

They found it difficult to imagine how much control one had to have over his own emotions in order to reach Ye Fan's state of mind. He was so calm and indifferent even after killing two men.

"His face doesn't flinch even when the mountain collapses, his eyes don't even blink when a deer suddenly appears in front of him. Mr Chu's state of mind is truly a testament to this proverb. It's really not easy for an ordinary person to reach his level," sighed Lei San in admiration as he watched Ye Fan leave with Qiu Mu-Cheng.

Li Er immediately kicked him. "Good heavens, you're still in the mood to curry favor with Mr Chu now? Lu Ming-Feng and Xur Shao-Hua are dead! What should we do now?"

Li Er looked down at the two dead bodies on the floor and his heart was jittery with fear.

Lei San replied very calmly, "There's no point in being so uptight. What's done is done, and there's no way we can undo this damage. We'll just take one step at a time." Lei San just shrugged helplessly. "Look at what you two have done! I told you to find a way to stop Mr Chu! Is this how you stop Mr Chu?! Do you know who on earth died today?! Do you know what sort of disaster is about to befall Jiangdong now?!" yelled Wu Wei-Tao furiously at Li Er and Lei San with a livid face. Now that Ye Fan had left, Wu Wei-Tao didn't have to be scared anymore and could start shouting at others.

Li Er immediately glared right back at Wu Wei-Tao. "What the hell? How dare you turn around and blame us! Wu Wei-Tao, if anyone is to blame for the deaths of these two fellows, it's you! What did I tell you? I told you to watch these two carefully and make sure they didn't provoke Mr Chu."

"But look at what happened in the end! Lu Ming-Feng sent people to blast Mr Chu's house with grenades, while Xur Shao-Hua coveted Mr Chu's wife and wanted to take her as his own. You were the one who didn't keep tabs on them, so you're the one who has to bear the responsibility for their deaths!" After getting reprimanded by Wu Wei-Tao, Li Er got angry and argued back immediately.

"You...you...you're spouting nonsense!" retorted Wu Wei-Tao with a nasty expression on his face.

"Enough, both of you. It's not the time to decide on who should be blamed for what. Let's think about how we should clean up this mess first," Lei San interrupted them.

There was no point in talking about who was right or wrong now. The first thing they needed to do was to get rid of these two bodies.

Otherwise, things would get even more out of hand.

Wu Wei-Tao got some men to take the two corpses away carefully, then sealed off the hotel so that professional cleaners could clean the place thoroughly.

Once all of this was settled, Wu Wei-Tao and the rest were ready to leave the hotel. They didn't want to think about what to do next right now. All they wanted to do was to go home and sleep first.

Even though the crisis that Jiangdong was going to face was far from over, they just wanted to take a breather before continuing this fight.

But just when they were about to leave, Qiu Lei and Han Li came running after them in hope of getting a ride home. "Er...Master Er, we're Mr Chu's in-laws. Could you give us a lift? It's a bit difficult to get a cab at this hour."

When Wu Wei-Tao heard that these two were Mr Chu's in-laws, his tone immediately became more respectful. Before Li Er could respond, Wu Wei-Tao cut in first, "Oh, you're Mr Chu's family? Please come over to my car, I'll send you home."

Qiu Lei and Han Li were immediately overjoyed at hearing this.

They could brag about how the mayor of Yunzhou sent them home personally for the rest of their lives.

"Oh please! Get lost!" Li Er kicked Qiu Lei and Han Li aside just before they could get into the car.

"Li Er, what are you doing? Are you nuts? They are Mr Chu's in-laws!" Wu Wei-Tao yelled at Li Er after witnessing this horrifying scene.

But Li Er just smiled coldly. "In-laws? They're just two idiots! Do you see that bruise on that woman's face? Mr Chu did that."
