Chapter 1083 Qiu Mu-Cheng's Liberation

Wu Wei-Tao's lips immediately twitched when he heard what Li Er said.

"Wha-what? Mr Chu did that? You mean Mr Chu slapped his own mother-in-law across the face?" Wu Wei-Tao was in shock.

Wu Wei-Tao's impression of Ye Fan was that he was someone who took very good care of his family.

Most people who took care of their families viewed familial ties with utmost importance.

So when Wu Wei-Tao heard that the bruise on Han Li's face was caused by Ye Fan, he was really surprised.

Li Er nodded. "Uh huh. But I can't blame Mr Chu for doing that. These two idiots asked for it. They were trying to force Miss Qiu to divorce Mr Chu, and had secretly tried to matchmake Miss Qiu with Xur Shao- Hua. How can anybody endure such a mother-in-law? Besides, I heard that during the last three years of their marriage, Mr Chu had to suffer a lot of humiliation while living with them. Mr Chu has a really good temperament, I must say. If I were him, I would have thrown them into the river by now," said Li Er in a disgusted tone of voice.

Wu Wei-Tao finally understood the story behind these two.

"I see. No wonder Mr Chu hit her. You're right, this couple are really just two idiots." Wu Wei-Tao shook his head and drove off without bothering about Qiu Lei and Han Li anymore.

After Wu Wei-Tao left, Li Er and Lei San turned to leave too.

"Master Er, what do we do with these two? They saw everything that happened tonight after all," one of Li Er's subordinates came forward to check with him.

Li Er glanced at Qiu Lei and Han Li, then said calmly, "Beat them up, then leave them somewhere along the road. They can say whatever they want about tonight, since we can't hide it for long anyway." Han Li and Qiu Lei were frightened when they heard that Li Er wanted to beat them up.

"You...you can't beat us up! We're Mr Chu's in-laws! How dare you hit us! My son-in-law won't let you off!" Han Li threatened Li Er as he got into his car.

It would have been better if Han Li hadn't said this.

After she said that, Li Er got out of his car again and kicked her in the stomach.

Han Li yelped and sprawled on the floor face down.

"You stupid bitch! You're really shameless! Didn't you despise Mr Chu so much earlier? Didn't you want your daughter to divorce Mr Chu just moments ago? Seriously! You only remember that Mr Chu is your son-in-law when you get beaten up? And you even try to use him to threaten me? It's way too late! Mr Chu has already cut ties with both of you a long time ago! To him, you two are just two fools!" cursed Li Er as he kicked them both viciously.

In the past, Li Er didn't dare to offend these two on account of Ye Fan.

But now, Li Er could see that Ye Fan was on very poor terms with this couple.

Since that was the case, Li Er didn't need to worry about offending them anymore.

"You two idiots! How dare you look down on Mr Chu! If Mr Chu hadn't protected you two, did you think you two are worth anything in this province?!" yelled Li Er as he kicked them again.

Finally, he spat on them, and left in his car.

Qiu Lei and Han Li were left behind on the road, howling in pain.

"You asshole! How dare you hit us!!"

"You're doomed! You're dead meat, you hear me?! I'm going to call my daughter right now and tell her to make you kneel down and apologize to us!!"

Han Li got up from the ground and started cursing and yelling in the direction of where Li Er had left with a mouth full of blood.

But just when Han Li took her phone out, she saw that Qiu Mu-Cheng had sent her a message.

"Dad, Mum, this is the last time your daughter will call you this way. All these years, Ye Fan and I have gone along with both of you regardless of everything you two did. Even when you chased us out of the house, we still remained filial. We have fulfilled our duties to the best that we could have!"

"As your daughter, I have also repaid you for bringing me up. From now on, I, Qiu Mu-Cheng, will owe both of you nothing. I never had you two as my parents, and the both of you never had me as your daughter. We have our own paths to take, and there is no need for us to ever meet again."

Han Li and Qiu Lei felt like their heads were struck by lightning when they read this message. They immediately went into a panic.

All these years, the two of them had relied entirely on Qiu Mu-Cheng for their living expenses.

If Qiu Mu-Cheng was going to sever ties with them, it meant that she wasn't going to provide for them anymore.

In their panic, they tried to call Qiu Mu-Cheng and texted her as well.

But once Qiu Mu-Cheng had decided to cut ties with them, she had already blacklisted their numbers in her phone.

This time, Qiu Mu-Cheng was really disappointed in her parents.

She and Ye Fan had listened to them and gave in to all their whims. But what did she get in return?

After she sent that message out, Qiu Mu-Cheng couldn't control her emotions anymore. Her eyes were bloodshot as she leapt into Ye Fan's arms and bawled loudly. She looked like a hopeless and helpless young lady hugging onto the only person she could rely on.

After today, Qiu Mu-Cheng had no parents and no family.

All she had was Ye Fan.

When he saw how upset she looked, Ye Fan felt bad for her.

"Mu-Cheng, if you really can't bear to let them go, we can always fetch your parents back home. For your sake, I'm willing to endure anything," said Ye Fan softly.

"No! I don't want them anymore! I don't want to see them anymore! Ye Fan, why? Why do I have such parents? Why do other people have such kind, loving and understanding parents? But I get such selfish and mean parents? Why?"

Qiu Mu-Cheng couldn't stop crying. Her miserable sobs echoed in the room.

Qiu Mu-Cheng cried for a very long time that night.

It was as if she was crying for all the hurt and suffering she had gone through at one shot.

She was finally liberated.

In the end, Qiu Mu-Cheng stuck to her decision to seventies with Qiu Lei and Han Li.

Perhaps she might feel guilty, or some pain, or a little yearning sometimes.

But all of this was nothing compared to all the humiliation and suffering that Ye Fan went through.

Qiu Mu-Cheng didn't owe her parents anything.

The one she owed the most was Ye Fan.

She had used the first half of her life to repay her parents for bringing her up.

Now, she was going to use the other half of her life to repay Ye Fan for everything she owed him.
