Camila flashed a sweet smile and nodded enthusiastically, "Yes."

The couple drove to the riverfront, and as soon as they stepped out of the car, the wind felt piercingly cold.

They strolled along the pedestrian path, flanked by imposing historical buildings that glowed uniquely under the night sky. Across the way stood modern skyscrapers, their lights dazzling a blend of the old and the new that left Camila in awe. She snuggled close to Connor, feeling the strength in his arms and the warmth of his breath, a sense of security filling her heart.

"Look over there, that's the iconic Tower. I've heard so much about it, and now I finally see it," she pointed excitedly at the towering structure in the distance.

Connor turned slightly, looking at Camila with eyes full of indulgence and tenderness. He gently pulled her closer, wrapping his coat around her tightly, fearful that she might catch even a hint of cold.

"Are you cold?" he whispered.

Camila sniffled, "A little."

Connor looked at her sympathetically and held her tighter, pressing her body fully against his, shielding her from the chilly wind.

"This is the coldest place I've ever been. It's such a pity it's not snowing," Camila looked up, pouting slightly.

"You like snow?" Connor asked.

"Yeah," Camila's bright eyes sparkled as she smiled. "You know, if it weren't for getting sick during my finals, I might have gone to college on Lantern Hill."

Connor listened intently.

Camila continued, "Back then, my mom had saved some money, and if I had gotten into a university on Lantern Hill, she planned to move there with me, leaving Fairmount behind." She smiled softly, "We might never have met."

Connor's heart tightened. He hugged Camila close, his warm palm cradling her head, bringing her even closer, and said softly, "I'm glad..."

"If you want to see snow, I'll take you somewhere snowy. Wherever you want to go, I'll be there with you."

Camila leaned into Connor's

embrace, her heart fluttering at his firm and gentle words. Looking up at him, her eyes curved into a smile,

she said, "Okay."

Suddenly, a familiar voice reached her ears. Camila tilted her head to look, her pupils dilating, and she quickly hid back in Connor's embrace. "They're Bryan and the others!" she whispered urgently.

Just as Connor turned to look, Camila held his face. "Don't look! What should we do? Should we leave? No, they're getting closer. What do we do? Ahhh!" Connor gently took off his coat, wrapping it over their heads, and smirked, "Now they can't see us, right?"

"What kind of ostrich tactic is this..." Camila looked up into Connor's dark eyes.

Connor leaned down and kissed her.

"Mmm..."

Camila's lips were sealed, the sound of Bryan and his group's conversation buzzing around her, thrilling her.

"These folks really are bold, but why cover up?" a colleague joked after drinking.

Camila was terrified, her heart nearly leaping out. She leaned her head back slightly, her lips barely parting, "What are you doing..." her voice as soft as a whisper.

"If you don't let me kiss you, I'll drop the coat," Connor said mischievously.

Camila glared at him briefly, then quickly stood on her tiptoes and sealed his lips with hers.

Connor's lips curved into a smile, deepening the kiss. Camila leaned back her neck, her arms tightly wrapped around his waist.

In the confined space, the sound of

their kissing was faint. Bryan and his friends stood not far away, his keen eyes catching a glimpse of the. couple's shoes under the coat. The heel of the man's leather shoes bore a togo.
