After the Secret Wedding Rise of My Queen -
Secret Wedding 220
Chapter 220 Isabel Sneaking Around
Eva's eyes widened as she looked at Isabel uneasily.
No way!
Isabel had to be making wild guesses. There was no way she could tell if I was pregnant or not.
Eva had been careless the last time at the hospital by hiding the blood bag under the pillow, which was then discovered by Isabel.
This time, she had planned everything meticulously. Although she was faking her pregnancy now, as long as she made an effort with Kaleb in the coming days and got pregnant for real, her lie would seamlessly turn into the truth. "I don't understand what you're talking about, and I didn't come here for you," Eva said after calming herself down. Then, she turned back to Yvette. "I promise I'll never lay a hand on you again."
Yvette was utterly baffled. Tilting her head, she turned to Isabel and asked, "Isabel, what's going on with Eva? Is she possessed?"
Isabel chuckled. "Let me enlighten you. It's Max-he went to the Johnsons to settle the score."
"What?" Yvette was stunned.
"Max went to confront the Johnsons? That can't be true. Does he have the guts? That's the Johnsons we're talking about! Isn't he afraid he'll never come back?"
Isabel shrugged. "You underestimate him. I heard from Xander that Max has been practicing martial arts since he was a kid. He's really good."
Hearing this, Yvette's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Are you serious?"
A faint sadness crept into Yvette's heart. She truly hadn't known Max was so capable. Thinking back to their interactions over the past few days, she realized how poorly she had treated him. Once, she'd even slapped him in a fit of rage. She remembered how, after that slap, Max's face immediately darkened. He pinned her down and bit her lip until it bled before letting her go.
Aside from that, he hadn't done much else to her.
Now, knowing how strong Max was, Yvette secretly felt relieved that he had a good temper. Otherwise, what man would let a slap go without retaliation? "Wait!"
As she reflected, Yvette suddenly realized the most critical point. Eva had actually come to apologize.
Eva could be considered the young mistress of the Johnsons, and with the Johnson Group behind them, they were unquestionably one of the top elites in Solaria. "How could they bear to let a pregnant Eva come here to apologize?"
Isabel had expected this question. "Maybe Max's fists were too convincing?"
"Really?" Yvette gave Isabel a doubtful look.
"I don't know. I didn't go to see it myself. Why don't you ask Max sometime?" Isabel raised an eyebrow.
Yvette pouted. "I'm not going to ask him!"
Every time she was alone with Max, he would take advantage of her.
She always thought to herself, if she weren't pregnant, that man might just devour her whole.
Still...
She had to admit that the infuriating man was surprisingly skilled. Every time ...
Thinking of this, Yvette's face flushed as red as a tomato.
Her thoughts had spiraled far too quickly, leaving her flustered.
That night, Isabel lay in bed, holding the emerald guardian angel pendant. The alliance had been urging her to complete the mission quickly.
She had already completed it, but she wasn't ready to hand over the pendant just yet.
She couldn't determine whether the person who issued the mission was a friend or foe.
At least, not yet.
Her priority now was to find the Nelson Residence and uncover the identity of the person who had snuck into the Nelson Residence that night. As she pondered, a particular image came to mind.
The silhouette of the photo from Xander's phone looked so much like Richie ...
Her phone suddenly rang, interrupting her thoughts.
The call was from Beowulf.
"Boss, I found it!"
"Found what?"
"The Nelson Residence! I've tracked down the address of the Nelson Residence!"
Hearing this, Isabel shot up from the bed agitatedly.
"Where is it?" she asked eagerly.
"Hold on, I'll send it to you."
As soon as Isabel received the address, she changed her clothes and prepared to leave.
However, she found Xander standing outside when she opened the door.
"Where are you going?"
Thinking quickly, Isabel came up with a plausible excuse.
"Yve said she's feeling a little unwell. I'm going to check on her."
"I'll drive you there." Xander pulled out his car keys.
Isabel quickly snatched the keys from his hand. "I'll go myself. Didn't you say you wanted to give me this car? haven't even driven it yet."
swntow
"Are you sure you can drive it well?" Xander asked, concerned.
The corner of Isabe's eyes twitched in disbelief. She was once a professional car racer and Xander was doubting her driving skills now.
"Relax, I'm an experienced driver.
Besides, you're still in your pajamas. If you come with me, you'll have to change, and that'll waste time. Next time, I'll take you for a ride and show you what I've got." FindNovel
"Promise?" Xander was genuinely interested but in a different way.
"Pinky swear." Isabel hooked her pinky around his and smiled. "I won't let you down." After finally appeasing Xander, Isabel drove off toward the Nelson Residence.
To avoid suspicion, she made a quick

the way, asking them to keep their stories straight and not spill anything.
Half an hour later, she arrived at the residence.
Isabel put on a black mask and slipped into a loose-fitting jacket she had prepared in advance.
Once she wore the jacket, it was impossible to tell whether she was a man or a woman.
She pulled up the hood, added a pair of dark sunglasses, and wrapped herself up so completely that not a trace of her identity was visible.
She was confident that Xander wouldn't even recognize her.
Isabel approached the Nelson Residence cautiously and spotted two guards stationed at the entrance.
There were probably more than just the two.
Not long ago, she overheard Xander instructing Leo to deploy additional guards to watch the area discreetly.
No matter how tight the security was, it wasn't enough to stop her. In her previous life, she had been a top agent in the alliance.
If she couldn't get in tonight, she might as well hand over her title of "Lone Wolf."
Circling the Nelson Residence, Isabel found a weak point in their defenses. Seizing the opportunity, she slipped through a window with ease.
The moonlight tonight was bright, so the interior of the mansion wasn't completely shrouded in darkness.
Using the soft glow as her guide, Isabel scanned the surroundings.
This place felt oddly familiar...
I think I've been here before.
Isabel tried to recall, and slowly, fragments from her recurring dreams surfaced. It felt like Leslie's home was here.
Just as she was lost in thought, a sudden sense of danger jolted her. Someone was attacking from behind!
