CHAPTER 26 HIS WORLD

Do you guys and girls ever feel like your not good enough? Not pretty enough? You in general is just not enough. That's how I feel. Writing stories kind of helps me, it takes me away from reality putting me in my own world. I'm sorry for that I just kind of want to blurt my feelings out because I just don't want to tell any of my friends, I feel as if I shouldn't have a best friend because everything ends in the end.

"Wait what?" I ask with wide eyes.

"He looks at you like your his world."

"That can't be true, he hates me. He despised me when he first saw me,trust me" I say now worried.

"That was when he first saw you, things have changed now Lily" I nod.

"And I understand that-" she cuts me off.

"Great!" She claps her hands together "you should go and apologise" I shake my head.

"He's stubborn, he won't forgive me just yet. He needs time to cool down" she sighs pointing to her watch.

"You're such a scardy cat. Times ticking Lils" she says looking at her watch to prove her point.

"Fine" I mumble waving at her.

I walk up to the wooden massive house and open the door, his smells wafts into the nose, fresh and nice.

"Luca!" I hear no response "Luca?"

I walk into the kitchen but don't see him anywhere, I sigh and walk up the stairs.

I open his office door but he's not in there, I walk to the bedroom and open the door to see him out on the balcony, grilling the railings.

"Luca, I'm sorry. I... I was just caught in the moment" I look down, I feel a hand on my chin making me look up at him.

"Don't assume such things next time" he angrily says.

I nod "I'm sorry" he shakes his head.

"It's fine" but he's acting like its the end of the world.

"No, it's not" I say.

He runs a hand through his hair and looks at me with his piercing blue eyes.

"I forgive you" he whispers softly.

I give him a small smile "really?" He nods.

"Of course."

I yawn, it's already late. The sun is setting and all that "you go to bed, I need to do some office work" he says.

"Okay" I whisper.

He puts his hard gaze on and walks out of the room, I sigh and sit down on the king sized bed.

I get under the covers and close my eyes, I feel scared. When ever Luca isn't around I feel as if somethings going to jump at me, Jones warned me that when I see him next that I will see him every day from then. I don't want to be that broken little girl again, I don't want to be the girl who stutters non stop, cries herself to sleep, Is afraid of every man.

I don't want to be the old me.

I'm still scared though, he haunts me to this very moment and it won't stop until he's gone.

I close my eyes hoping that the dreams will take me away from my dark thoughts, hoping that when I wake up it will be storming because that's my favourite bit. Nature can scream, skies can scream, I can scream.

I wake up as a different Lily, a more scared and aware Lily.

I look outside, it's not raining, I look next to me, he's not there. I gulp and step out of bed, padding my way towards the door.

I open it and walk towards the direction of his office where I hear muffled voices, I listen even though my gut and wolf is telling me that it's an invasion of privacy.

"I've never seen anything like it in my 25 years of living" I hear Luca.

"So you don't know what it is yet alpha?" Questions someone.

"No; I need to know though. You men don't realise how important it is to find every little detail about this thing- weaknesses, strengths, when it comes out, what it's called, what it eats. It attacked my mate and your Luna, we need to find it as soon as possible. This beast will attack another innocent person" he says professionally.

Will he have a go at me if I go in?

This discussion is intriguing me, I know it's about that beast that almost caused my death.

Thinking about it brings shivers around my body, I gulp and hear a voice in my head. But not my wolfs voice.

'You can come in, I can hear you' I sigh in relief when I realise it's Luca talking in our mate mind link.

I gently open the door and slide through the door, I close it behind me and all heads snap to me.

I swallow, their gazes are intimidating. I start walking towards Luca in my bare feet, it's still night.

I stand next to him not knowing what to do. Do I sit on the desk, the floor, his lap? Is there another chair?

All of a sudden I'm being pulled into a lap, Lucas lap. He wraps his arms around me, this is unusual.

I'm used to the cold stares and emotionless eyes, this is different.

"Continue gentlemen" Luca says emotionlessly.

I study and realise that his whole features is the way they were towards me, cold, emotionless, stoic, hard, scary.

He's terrifying, you don't realise how scary it is to look into empty eyes until you actually do.

I don't like this type of Luca

He looks at me, his expression softening the littlest, then he looks away.

"We have been searching for this beast for a week yet we haven't found one clue, do you think it's apart of alpha Jones plan?" One man suggests.

Luca leans back in his leather chair thinking deeply, he hums "it is a possibility...."

"Think about it alpha, he wants Luna, he might want to kill her. First scare us all so we will be focusing on the beast instead of Luna Lily, then when she's alone he will take her. This is a distraction!" A man concludes.

I feel Lucas hands clenching "indeed it is" why are the words so formal and proper? Are they like 1000 years old?

"Five guards will be assigned to Lily when I'm not around her, if you so as let her leave your sight then I will kill you with no shame" they gulp and nod.

"Of course alpha."

"Spread the word, I want full reports of the best men there is to protect your Luna."

They stand up and bow "of course alpha. We will get to it right now then inform you when we have found out the information" he dismisses them and watches as they walk out.

His expression becomes warm to me and he sighs in relief, I frown.

He looks at me "don't frown" he mumbles.

"Then don't do what you were doing" I mutter, he raises an eyebrow.

"What was I doing?" He questions.

"Looking at them the way you looked at me" I whisper, he sighs.

"It's simply business Lily" I scowl crossing my arms over my chest.

"They are people Luca, you shouldn't look at your pack members like that!" I exclaim.

"They should be used to it by now" he shrugs.

"They shouldn't be used to it" he growls.

"Stop it Lily" he warns looking at me with cold eyes.

"I'm sick of you looking at people like that, especially me" my voice cracks.

His arms tighten around me "I don't intend to" he whispers.

"Yes you do."

"Why do I then Lily?" He replies.

"Because you don't want people to see how your really feeling, you don't want them to see you weak" I whisper, he growls. "And they never will!"
