Chapter 51

Catalina's POV

The next day I awoke feeling pretty well rested. I know some Alphas and council members will show up tonight for tomorrow's meeting. I got up before Andrew and took a shower. I felt like I had fully recharged. I got out of the shower and Andrew was still asleep. I got dressed and went out to make some coffee. I grabbed a cup and went out to the balcony.

"Jet." I mind linked him

"Lina it's early." He said, it was. The sun was just barely peeking up.

"I know, but I have so much energy. I want to train." I hear him laugh.

"Let me get up. Meet you there in 30?" He says.

"Yes please." I finished my coffee. I left Andrew sleeping. I know I have been pushing myself, but so has he. I made my way down to the lobby to meet up with Jet.

"Did you tell Gamma Lucas?" I ask him.

"Yeah he said he needed a little bit more time to get going, but he'll meet us there." I laughed and we made our way to the training facility. We set everything up and do a bit of training. I needed to get something to focus on. When Gamma Lucas shows up I practice my power. "Helia" I say in my head.

"Lina" she's never said my name before, or anything. Her voice was gentle but strong. I felt the fire wash over me. I was getting used to the feeling. My feet lift of the ground and I shot up. I pushed the fire out, almost to where the guys were standing but I brought it back. I tried setting specific areas on fire and it worked. I felt completely connected to Helia. "What's changed?" I ask her.

"You have." Is all she says. I float around testing it out. I feel my energy draining and I pull it back and float to the ground. I was up longer than any time before. When I reached the ground I put the fire out and collapsed to the ground. Jet runs over to me and kneels down next to me

"Lina? You ok?" He says. I get up on my knees.

"Yeah. That one felt different." I said out of breath.

"That one looked different." Gamma Lucas said walking up to us. Jet helped me to my feet.

"I heard her talk." I said.

"Helia?" Jet asked helping me over to the bench.

"Yeah. She didn't say much, but she spoke to me." I say excitedly.

"Maybe you are becoming more connected. Man your head is going to be full of voices." Jet says. I didn't think about that. Once I become High Alpha, I will be connected to every pack and my head will really be filled with them. I will be able to push them out, but I will have Kayla and Helia on top of that. My head will be crowded.

"That's our last practice before the Alphas get here. We should go get some breakfast." Gamma Lucas says. Jet helps me up and we all head back to the pack house.

"Andrew" I mind linked him

"Lina, you ok?"

"Yeah I just wanted to say good morning. Training is done and I am headed to breakfast." I tell him.

"I didn't want to mind link you in case you were in the middle of training. I'll be right down." He said and cut the connection. I smile, I can tell he misses me.

We get to the pack house and I see Andrew and his eyes are on Jet who's still helping me. He's so jealous, my big jealous Alpha. I smile at him and he helps me with my chair.

"I thought you said you were ok." He said.

"I am, just tired is all. After we eat I need to take a nap." I say. We talk about who will be showing up and when. We talk about the planned dinner and what will happen tomorrow. When we are done I knew I needed to lay down. Andrew takes me upstairs and lays me in bed.

"I'm going to be busy, but I'll send Rachel to come get you ready for the Alpha's arrival. Ok love?" He moves a piece of hair out of my face. I smile and nod.

"I love you Lina."

"I love you too." I say. My eyes are heavy. I feel him kiss my forehead and I was asleep.

I woke up and rolled over to look out the window. The sun was low in the sky, so I know I slept for a while. I laid in bed for a bit longer before I decide to get up and take a bath. I ran a warm bath and put in some bath salts. I sink in and let the warm water relax my muscles.

"Rachel" I call on mind link.

"Hun you're awake!" She says

"Yeah, when we're you coming over?" I asked.

"I was going to come over in an hour, but I can come over now since you are awake."

"Yes come over, I'm in the bath but I'll be out soon."

"I'll be right over and I'll bring wine!"

I stayed in the bath until I heard Rachel come in. I get up and wrap myself in a robe. I step out and she hands me a glass of wine. I smile and give her a hug.

"I feel like I haven't spent any time with you since I got back." I say.

"I know hun. You've been spending all your time with the boys and I've been planning like I'm a full time party planner." She giggles. She climbs on the bed while I get dressed and dry my hair.

"So what are you going to wear tonight?" She asks. I hadn't even thought about it.

"What do you think I should wear?" She smiles wide and jumps up to my closet. She looks through and pulls out two options. One is a off the shoulder tight long black dress, with a slit all the way up the thigh on one side. The other is a tight spaghetti strap silk short dark green dress.

"You don't think those are a bit too much?" I ask her.

"Hell no! You want to stand out."

"Let's do the black one." I say. She sits me down and does my make up and curls my hair. I put on the dress and take a look at myself in the mirror. I look pretty damn good. I helped Rachel get ready and then we went out to the living room. Andrew walked in and froze when he saw me.

"Damn Lina." He came over to me and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"I don't know if I want all those men to look at you in this dress." He says. I giggle and he kisses me. Rachel clears her throat.

"You need to get ready or we'll be late." She says to Andrew. He cups my face and kisses me again. He pulls away and heads to the bedroom. Rachel and I have another glass of wine while we wait for our men to be ready. After about 30 minutes Murphy walks in looking handsome in a dark green suit, that matches Rachel's dress.

"Ladies." Murphy says with a bow. He wraps him arm around Rachel's waist and whispers something into her ear that makes her giggle and blush. I smile, they are adorable. Just then Andrew comes out and I look my mate up and down. This man is gorgeous. He's wearing an all black suit, black shirt, black shoes. The only color on him is a red tie. His hair looks perfectly quaffed, and he's looking at me like he wants to eat me alive. I walk over to him and straighten his tie. He pulls me close and kisses me. "Have I told you, you look beautiful?" He asks.

"No you haven't" I say with a smile.

"You look gorgeous" he whispers and kisses me again.

"We should head down guys." Murphy says. Andrew offers me his arm and leads me out the door. We head down to the lobby where we are met with Raymond and Flora. There are quite a few people in the lobby area, a few faces I have seen before and they greet me. 7 of the Alphas will be here for the dinner and 3 of the 5 council members will be here. I was met by two familiar faces, Alpha Todd and Cassie. Cassie hugs me and asks me about all the rumors she's heard. Of course she is well informed. She noticed my mark and congratulated me and Andrew.

"I'm so happy for you guys. But I'm a bit mad I didn't know you were the White Wolf. Why didn't you tell me?" She asks.

"I didn't really know then. My wolf had just started coming back to me." I say.

"I knew your wolf was different, she was super serious." She smiles at me. We make our way into the hall. We say hello to Alpha Leon and Alpha Gerald, who were at my mating ceremony. Andrew leads me to the front of the room where I see three men watching me. When we walk up Andrew introduces them as Councilmen Eric, an older man with salt and pepper hair. He was very handsome for an older man. He shakes my hand and smiles.

"Pleasure to meet you Catalina."

Councilmen Koa, was a younger man. He had tan skin, black hair, he had a very serious face and had a firm hand when we shook. "Luna Catalina, it's nice to meet you."

Councilmen George was the oldest of the three. His hair was mostly white and he had a kind face, and his eyes were bright blue.

"Finally my dear. It's so very good to meet you." He had an accent that made him even more charming. Andrew ushered us to our table and he pulled out my seat. He stood in front and got everyone's attention.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us this evening. This is not an official event so please feel free to mingle and eat at your leisure. And please keep the talk of business to a minimum as to not bore everyone in the room." The crowd chuckled. Andrew came over and joined me. I could feel his anxiety and remembered this is the same hall I was taken in months ago. I reached out and took his hand. "Andrew it's ok, I'm not the same person I was back then." I squeezed his hand.

"I know. But it feels like a whole new threat is coming for you, and again I can't protect you." He looks sad.

"Andrew I don't need you to protect me. I need you to love and support me." He smiles. "Always Lina."

"Now tell me about the Councilmen." I say.

"Well George is one of the oldest members. He's from a different land then ours. His a close friend of my fathers. Koa is one of the youngest members, very big on rules and the proper way of doing things. Eric is a bit of a wild card. Mostly he goes the way of the money. Todd is my cousin and he supports you, Eric will probably swing for you." He says.

"And they are going to do what exactly tomorrow?"

"We are going to petition for the White Wolf to take her place as High Alpha. Meaning you would oversee the council. Nothing much would change in each pack. Your seat at the council would be law." He said.

"Could I still be the Luna here?" I asked.

"Now that is something to discuss. The councilmen aren't in charge of any packs but they still belong to packs. Their positions are mostly passed down within their family. Their bloodlines run deep to the originals. However you have the Moon Goddess' direct descendent inside you."

"So they might say I can't be your Luna?" She asks.

"I don't think they will keep mates apart or force a pack to have no Luna. They might limit your control on our pack though. But honestly we're already one of the more powerful packs." Andrew says with pride.

"But let's worry about all that tomorrow. You have a lot of names and faces to remember." He was right, 12 Alphas and 5 councilmen. Thank goddess I know atleast 5 already, 7 to go. We ate our food and then we set out to introduce me to the rest of the Alphas I haven't met. The four Alphas I hadn't met were Alpha Zayn, Alpha Branson, Alpha Luke, and Alpha Hunter. They were all young, tall and handsome. Zayn and Branson had their Lunas with them, but Hunter and Luke were still unmated and I felt Hunters eyes trace every curve of my body. I didn't let it get to me. However I did notice Jet in another group of men next to us and he was staring at Hunter. Always the protector. Eventually the Luna's all gathered and we were chatting about our mates and pack life, the typical girl talk. Cassie just informed everyone she was expecting and we all congratulated her. I hugged her.

"I'm so happy for you." She hugged back.

"Soon it will be you." I pulled her back.

"More soon will be Rachel." I said and looked at Rachel, who was bright red embarrassed.

"I just got married give me a bit." She says. We all laugh and the circle is a buzz with the news. The night went by pretty smoothly. Apparently there is a tradition of all the Alphas dancing with the Luna I didn't know about and when Hunters turn came around I saw a few not happy faces in the crowd from Jet and Andrew. I had to move his hand more then a few times. But he wasn't anything I couldn't handle. Other than that, I think it was a success. Late in the night Andrew and I made our way upstairs and to bed. My feet hurt and I was exhausted. Andrew gave me a foot massage, that of course turned to s*x, but I wanted him all night so I welcomed it. We feel asleep in each other's arms.
