Chloe's POV

I've never felt so stupid and embarrassed in my whole life. Marcus indeed made a fool out of me by stooping so low to have sex with his ex.

To think I trusted him, to think I was always willing to make up excuses for his silly ass at my own detriment because I believed this was a phase that'd end someday.

But as it is, it seems it was never ending and it's high time I put an end to all these.

It was obvious Marcus was using me as a toy because he believed I would always give in to his selfish demands all the time.

He was not changing any time soon and I would not continue to wait hoping for some sort of miracle to keep all these women away.

I heard shuffled footsteps behind me and I turned back to see Marcus behind me terribly bruised. He was doing it for a showoff since the bruises wouldn't stay long because of his werewolf abilities.

He was crying and even though I was supposed to feel pity for him, all I felt was hatred. He did too much, he played with my emotions knowing fully well he was still in love with her, that means all his ex's had a place in his life if given the chance.

"What do you want, Marcus? I know this is your pack, trust me, I'll be out before you know it but your face is certainly the last thing I want to see right now." I said as I turned to look at him.

"Chloe, please would you give me a chance to explain myself, it's not what you think, she hypnotized me and..."

"If you complete that word! If you dare it Marcus I swear I'll kill you and kill myself and end this madness, I swear, I'm not joking!"

He shut up instantly and I heaved as tears streamed down my eyes as I thought about the horrible things I had seen with my eyes today.

First, Lily was fighting for her life and just when I decided to confront my mate for some sensible explanation, I saw him stark naked pleasuring the same woman he claimed to be in his past. How convenient!

It filled me with so much anger that I couldn't control, my insides were rumbling with so much rage that I could kill anyone that dared cross my path and for the first time ever I couldn't control my thirst of blood, not just any blood but the blood of that insolent woman.

"What do you want from me Marcus? Haven't you done enough?" I yelled when I felt his hands on my body.

He made my skin crawl, how dare he touch me with the same hands he touched that woman.

"Chloe, can you please listen to me! I hate myself so much already and your words are killing me slowly..."

"Well let them kill you faster, I don't fucking care about you anymore! I've given you so much love and the only thing I get in return is multiple disgrace. You were fucking her just the same way you fuck me Marcus, even better!" "Please, just calm down, we can handle this, we always do, it doesn't have to be like this..."

"You know what, reject me right now."

"What? What are you even saying? It hasn't gotten to that Chloe!" He said with panic in his voice, as he tried to come near me but I created a barrier using my vampire abilities making him keep his distance.

"Reject me right now and save yourself the pretense so you can go back to the woman you truly love. She's the perfect woman for you and your stupid pack members always wanted. I'm sure she'd make a perfect mate for you now right? Isn't that what you've always wanted?"

"No! You're the perfect one for me Chloe, you're my mate, the one the moon goddess specifically kept for me, you can't do this to me Chloe, I can't reject you and you won't do that to me either."

All his words sounded like lies to my ears and I don't think there's anything he would do that'd change the resentment I felt for him.

"Reject me now or I will do it. Don't dare me, I just want to make this easy for the both of us so we can go our separate ways like this never existed, this never meant anything to you anyways." "Please don't say that Chloe, I'll do anything to change the hands of time right now, please stop staring at me like that, you're killing me."

"I wish you'll just die Marcus. You're a cheat and lying bastard, I keep making excuses for you and you keep hurting me. Reject me now Marcus or I will.. I don't care about the consequences but I'm not going to have someone like you as my mate, and if you can't do it trust me, I will. I, Chloe Zephora..."

"STOP!" He yelled as tears streamed down his eyes uncontrollably, seeing him like this broke me further but I would not allow the love I have for him override my sense of reasoning and allow me make decisions I'll end up regretting.
