CHAPTER 150

Chloe's POV

Time stopped and it took a while for me to realize what I was doing. Marcus knew my weak point and exploited it to his advantage and it made me hate my current situation.

I felt myself being yanked forcefully away from Marcus and I yelped in pain. He tried to touch me again when Jason came into view and I frowned angrily at him, he didn't even pass a glance in my direction. "How dare you Jason!" Marcus said in an Alpha's tone which was pretty much commanding and icy.

Jason said nothing but continued glaring daggers at me, he probably thought i was shameless and yes, i agree.

Tell me the reason I allowed Marcus to kiss me when I am supposed to be mad at him.

Fuck, my pregnancy hormones.

"You're the one looking for trouble Marcus Blackwood. My instructions were clear, stay the fuck away from my sister, but you're acting stupid and you're beginning to make me think of things I didn't want to." Jason said coldly.

"Trust me, vampire, you don't scare me. You make unnecessary demands and expect me to stick to them? Chloe is my wife and the mother of my unborn pup, we are having issues right now and we can't settle amicably because you keep showing your ugly face everywhere!" Marcus growled and Jason clenched his fist by his side.

"Marcus," Jason said coldly through gritted teeth.

The air around us was getting thick with tension and I was getting confused, they looked like they could shred each other to pieces.

"Marcus, everyone would agree that I've been really calm with you, do not make me involve the full coven in this fight. Trust me Marcus, it'd be bloody. Kindly leave my sister alone and go back to your baby mama, why's that so hard for you to comprehend?" Jason asked and he got an immediate punch as an answer from Marcus.

"Don't even think about it, don't even think of invading my pack with vampires and taking my mate away from me, don't even try it." Marcus said coldly, punching him repeatedly.

"Well, I think ending your life would stop this madness." Jason said icily and I shivered.

"I'd like to see you try ugly vampire." Marcus said, punching Jason.

Jason gave him a punch on the jaw and from the way his fists were clenched and Marcus's facial expression I could tell it was painful.

Marcus returned the punch and they continued that way, punching their faces and retaliating with even harder blows.

Jason was also frustrating Marcus by using his invisibility abilities making Marcus groan in anger.

When Marcus finally got a hold of him, they were on the floor in a twinkle of an eye, Marcus now on top of Jason punching him repeatedly.

They both were a sorry sight but Jason looked worse. Jason finally pushed Marcus off him and started retaliating.

"I could have killed you when I had the chance, you stupid dog." Jason said, punching Marcus on the jaw.

"We both know I'm stronger, you just keep hiding under the shadows of being a vampire. You're just pained that you couldn't keep one woman, aren't you ashamed?" Marcus asked, kicking him off. "You're shameless!" Jason said as he lurched towards him. Just as Jason was about to strike, Marcus ordered for his guards to step in and they began attacking Jason.

"Send this nuisance out of my pack this minute! Go ask your brother what I did to him the last time he dared me, haven't you wondered why he isn't here?"

Marcus said smirking as the guards carried a badly beaten Jason out to God knows where while I stood transfixed on the spot utterly confused.

I didn't even notice when Marcus walked up to me and started apologizing.

"Look baby I'm sorry for what happened, you know it's not my fault. Jason just gets on my nerves all the time, just come back to me and let all this end." He said tracing his fingers on my jawline. "Get your filthy hands off me Marcus. You think I would easily support a cheating husband over my brother, you must be joking."

"You might need to change the way you talk to me Chloe. I am still your husband and you'd respect me. It was just a silly mistake. Why hate me because of something so simple, can't you see the bigger picture here? This is all Jason's handiwork because he hates me, he brought Lizzie into the picture to cause a rift between us, this is all a plan Chloe, just believe me on this."

Would Jason go that far?

Jason was capable of many things but not playing with his own emotions just to prove a point.

The same Jason I've caught multiple times crying, the same Jason who was contemplating suicide?

No, Marcus was the bad guy here.

"You're a big fool, I regret the day I mated with you, you're so despicable and I hate you. Just look around you Marcus, isn't it obvious you're cursed?" I saw the look of shock and hurt cross his eyes when I said those words, but I was past caring, he deserved everything he was getting and even more.

"Why'd you say something like that Baby?" He said, his voice lower than a whisper and I scoffed.

"You're actually one great actor Marcus, right now, I can't listen to you. My family and the life of my unborn pup comes first. I can't bet my life in harm's way since I am mated to a monster."

"I am not a monster! Stop calling me that!" He yelled with all his might, his eyes a blazing red that I feared he would hit me when he lifted up his hands.

"You've hurt everyone you've crossed paths with, one way or the other, have you seen Lily's present state? You've a lot of work to do on yourself, I can't be with a damaged person, until then Marcus, stay the fuck away from me, if you dare come close to me, I'll not hesitate to kill you myself!"
