Alpha's One Night Bride -
Alpha’s One Night Bride – Chapter 102
He was always around now; one minute he was a mystery guy in the town of Moon-Valley and now he was living in the room next to hers. Spencer. What kind of name is Spencer anyways? Why did he have to show up and turn everything around? Not that he did anything bad. Actually, he kind of saved her life and she would forever owe him that debt. But she didn’t want to owe anyone new a debt that couldn’t repay.
He was always looking at her with this loving admiration bullshit and she just got her heart ripped out of her chest by a man she used to look at like that. She thought she knew what love was and she thought she finally found her mate but ended up being a complete lie. She would be stupid if she fell for that again. She couldn’t fall for that again.
But Spencer didn’t seem like the kind of guy who would lie to her; then again, neither did Greggory. She knew Greggory her entire life and she thought he was someone she could trust. Sure, he was a flirt with the ladies around town and didn’t always make the best decisions growing up. But that was okay; he was still trustworthy when it came to their friendship. She thought he’d still be trustworthy after marriage too.
But that was nothing, but a lie and she felt so stupid for believing him.
Arina was right when she said not to trust him. But she didn’t listen, and she wasn’t going to make that mistake again.
However, there was still something about Spencer that she couldn’t quite shake. Her wolf was tugging on her insides and pulling her towards him; regardless of how hard she tried to push that feeling down, it would come back stronger than ever. She hated that her wolf wanted her near him. She hated that she couldn’t get him out of her mind. She hated that he almost makes her want to trust him.
While Jessica had amnesia, she did trust him. She didn’t have a reason to not trust him. I’m sure she heard about Greggory and saw the damages he’s done to her, but she didn’t actually remember the experience of any of it. She didn’t have that mental hold that prevented her from trusting anybody. She saw Spencer and her wolf instantly trusted him and wanted to be with him; she had no reason to not trust that. She wasn’t sure what they talked about or what they did together while she was in that mindset, but she knew it meant everything to Spencer.
She could feel his disappointment when she got her memories back and lost the memories of her time in that Amnesia state. She wanted to still feel that connection she had with him in hopes of gaining some clarity on the situation, but whatever connection they had was gone when she got her memories back.
It was like they were meeting for the first time.
He tries to form that connection with her again, but with everything that happened the last couple of months, it was really hard to think about anything else. She felt bothered that he didn’t understand that. He tries so hard, and she feels so bad, but she also wanted him to just stop trying.
She needed him to stop trying or else she was going to straight-up lose her mind.
Again.
“Don’t be too hard on him…” Arina said at the doorway of the guestroom.
Spencer was just there, talking about something Jessica wasn’t paying attention to. She’s been so sleep-deprived that she screamed at him to go away. She instantly felt bad about doing that and didn’t need Arina there to make her feel worse.
All Jessica could think to do was just roll her eyes. Arina frowned and walked further into the room, closing the door behind her.
“Jessica, what’s been going on with you? You are never this closed off when it comes to cute boys,” Arina said, sitting on the bed next to her.
She was right; the old Jessica loved having an opportunity to flirt with cute boys. Her entire life all she did was gossip with Arina about the next pretty face. Boris Conway was always number one on her list. Any other time, she would be all over Spencer and gossiping about him non-stop. With his light brown hair, his manly scruffy face, his honey-brown eyes, and his olive skin; he was just hot.
She acknowledged that and understood that. But her heart was already in shambles. It was a lot to take in.
“I don’t know,” she said, her voice sounding distant. “It’s just that with Greggory, everything was really bad. I trusted him and it turned out my instincts were wrong.”
“Spencer isn’t Greggory,” Arina reminded her. “He’s only ever wanted to protect you. Jonathan saw into his past; he’s had it really bad too Jessica. He’s almost died countless times.”
She knew that; she remembered them talking about it at one point. Jessica didn’t ask any questions about it but apparently, his adoptive family used him as a slave basically and beat him so bad that he nearly died. He also grew ill on a couple of different occasions and nearly died from that as well. Jessica felt bad, of course. But she still couldn’t bring herself to open her heart to him. Especially when she hardly knew him.
“All I’m saying is, don’t close yourself off from him completely. He knows you’ve had it bad and he respects that. But he also really likes you…” Arina said softly.
Jessica sighed.
“I don’t know,” Jessica said, sounding defeated. “I’m just scared…”
“I know that, and he knows that. But you can’t punish him for something someone else did,” Arina said. “You both had it rough; maybe it’s time to not have it rough anymore.”
Jessica hated it when she used logic. Especially because she was right. Arina didn’t say anything more; she stood up and walked towards the door.
“Just think about it, okay?” Arina asked as she reached the doorway.
Jessica nodded and Arina slipped into the hallway. With a sigh, Jessica got out of bed and walked down the hall toward Spencer’s room. She wasn’t sure what she was going to say to him; she’s been so awful to him these last few weeks and even though she knew he’d forgive her; she wasn’t sure she deserved to be forgiven.
She tapped on his door before opening it; pushing open the door, she saw him lying in bed. He wasn’t sleeping, he was just staring up at the ceiling. He was wearing his pajama bottoms and he was shirtless; she noticed he had a light layer of hair across his broad chest that went down his torso and disappeared in the lining of his pants.
He looked even hotter shirtless than he did with a shirt. It was almost a struggle to keep herself from drooling.
Spencer lifted his head to see her standing at his door; he was surprised to see her there.
“Hi,” she said softly.
She stared down at her feet sheepishly; she wasn’t sure what more to say.
“Hi,” he said back, sitting up. “I didn’t expect you to be here…” he said as he searched the ground for his shirt.
“It’s okay,” she heard herself saying; she instantly felt lame. “I mean… you don’t have to…” she tried to say but her voice trailed off as her face began heating up with embarrassment.
He gave her a nervous chuckle and stopped searching the ground.
“Is everything okay?” He asked, staring around her heated features.
That was a loaded question; nothing was okay. Although, things were getting better.
“I guess I just wanted to apologize,” she told him. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you like that.”
He looked down towards the ground; now he was looking embarrassed.
“It was my own fault. I’ve been pushing you. I should have just given you space as you wanted. I’m sorry,” he said in response; that oddly enough surprised her.
“No,” she said gently, she stepped further into his room and shut the door behind her. He rose his eyes to her and raised his eyebrows. “It wasn’t your fault. None of it was your fault. I’m sorry if I made you feel like that.”
“Jessica…” he tried to say, but his voice trailed off.
“What happened with Greggory was shit, but it didn’t have anything to do with you. You’ve been nothing but kind to me and protected me from the day we met. I’ve treated you so badly and all you did was try your best…” she stopped because she could feel a sob in the back of her throat; teras was ready to break free from her eyes.
He stood up quickly when he noticed.
“I did it because you are my mate,” he said. “I know it’s hard to take in and that you don’t trust me yet. That’s fine. I’m willing to wait for you. But I don’t regret anything, Jessica. I would do everything all over again if it meant protecting you…”
She felt a smile tugging at her lips; he was really sweet.
“I know,” she said, staring up at him. “I’m just saying that I’m sorry for making things more difficult.”
“Jessica…stop,” he said, taking a step closer to her. “You don’t need to be sorry. I get it.”
Her features turned pink as she fought back another smile; why hasn’t she realized what a great guy he was? Her wolf was tugging her closer to him; she felt the tension between them releasing. Her heart was beating heavily against her chest and his chest was rapidly moving up and down.
“I just…” she whispered.
She stepped closer to him, closing the small gap that lay between the two of them. She wasn’t sure what she was trying to say at that point; she was hypnotized by him. Everything that he was. His scent, his hazy aura, the way her heart was feeling being close to him, the way her wolf reacted to him. Everything was so hypnotizing.
She wanted him.
She found herself playing with the waistline of his bottoms; his breathing thickened as he stared down at her. He had questions in his eyes but before he could ask anything, she was pulling his bottoms down. She was almost disappointed that he was wearing boxers, but boy did he look good in them. Her breathing got caught in her throat.
She rubbed his bulge gently with her fingertips; it must have felt good for him because he was closing his eyes and leaning in towards her with each caress she made. She continued to rub him as her lips found his. His k****s were soft and gentle against her lips; he tasted of toothpaste. She breathed him in, feeling the warmth of his breath on her features.
Jessica tugged at his bottom l*p, pulling it gently with her teeth and bringing him further into his mouth. He smiled into her k**s as she allowed her tongue to curiously explore his mouth. He presented his tongue to her, giving her permission to pull it into her own mouth.
She played with the waistline of his boxers before pulling them down around his legs. He helped get them off. She held his e******n in her hands; she rubbed his shaft until he was grown within her fingertips. He breathed her in as he kept his lips pressed gently against hers.
Pulling away from him, she knelt on the ground in front of him, giving him small k****s down his torso as she reached his length. He sucked in a sharp breath before she was able to put her lips around him.
“Wait…” he whispered, recoiling only slightly. “Are you sure you want to do this?”
She gazed upwards to meet his eyes.
“I don’t really know what I want anymore,” she admitted. “But I’m tired of questioning everything. I’m tired of being afraid…”
He gave her a small smile and rubbed his fingers through her silky blonde strands of hair.
“You don’t have to be afraid of me,” he whispered to her. “I won’t ever hurt you…”
Her heart leaped in her chest; he guided her closer to him with the palm of his hand still on the back of her head. She allowed him to guide her, and she placed her lips around his length. He drew in a deep breath as her tongue swirled around his mushroom tip. The longer he was in her mouth, the more he seemed to be swelling. She could taste the saltiness of the light layer of thick liquid that came from the tip.
She deepened him inside her until he was nearly hitting the back of her throat. She quickened her pace and he m****d softly.
“Wait…” he breathed. “I don’t want to cum like this.”
She released him from her mouth and trailed k****s back up his torso until she reached his lips. He pulled her bottom l*p. She pulled her shirt over her head as we tugged her pants down around her legs. She kicked them to the ground next to his bottoms and she removed her underwear.
Typically, she would feel self-conscious about her body; but at this moment, she didn’t care. He didn’t make her feel weird about herself; he made her feel desired, wanted and even loved. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him; they stayed like that for a few moments before she laid down on the bed.
He climbed on top of her and sent small and gentle k****s around her body. He tugged her nipples with his teeth, but he didn’t linger around her breasts for too long. She sucked in air as he moved her legs apart and sent small k****s around her most sensitive areas.
She felt the softness of his tongue against her clit and traced it with a circular motion. She m****d gently as her pleasures increased. She arched her back as he deepened his tongue into her; he held her legs for support and continued to press himself against her. Her breathing was heavy, and she could feel herself on the brink of an o****m.
She could see the hazy pinkness of her wolf’s aura illuminating off her skin and entwining with the deep pink aura of his wolf. They were both happy and satisfied as he continued the embrace. She breathed in sharply as she climaxed around his tongue, coating his mouth with her juices.
He pulled away; he was breathless, and his features were glowing as he trailed k****s back up her torso.
“Did that feel good?” He whispered against her ear as he kissed the nape of her neck.
She nodded, unable to actually form words. He was kissing the areas that were once bruised by Greggory. Her heart could nearly contain the amount of gentle affection he was giving her.
She felt him sliding inside of her; she sucked in air as he filled her with his e******n. She wrapped her legs around him and pulled herself closer to him to match his pace. He started off gently and began quickening.
She winced at first and he eased up.
“Did I hurt you?” He asked; she could hear the concern in his voice.
It made her want to laugh.
“No…” she said, breathlessly. “I’m just not used to…” her voice trailed off as her pleasure began increasing.
His gentleness was intoxicating, and she wanted more of him; she needed so much more of him.
“Let me know if I hurt you…please,” he begged.
She nodded and kissed his mouth gently; she smiled in the k**s.
“You couldn’t hurt me if you tried,” she whispered.
He kissed again and sent the k****s down the nape of her neck once again; she m****d and quickened the pace. He caught up to her speed; she could feel sweat forming on her forehead and dripping down her features. For a moment she worried that she looked ridiculous but that thought quickly dispersed from her mind as she felt him deepening inside of her.
She threw her head back, arching her back; feeling herself on the brink of a climax. His legs began shaking from under him and she knew he was about ready to climax as well, but he was holding himself back for her.
“Don’t…” she whispered. He rose his eyebrows in a questioning manner. “Don’t hold back,” she clarified.
That was all he needed; as she orgasmed, she could feel the warmth of his cum running down her legs as he released himself inside of her.
They both lay with one another, naked and breathless.
Two broken wolves formed something neither of them thought they could form.
