Alpha’s Slave Luna
Chapter 117

Otis's POV:

"Damn it, why are those hooligans here again, didn't they come once before!"

"Everyone gather, keep the elderly and children in the middle of the line, quick!"

"Fighters get ready to fight, we must hold!"

Anxious and angry shouts filled my ears as the calm of the place was shattered and I quickly rushed towards the gates of the Snow Pack.

The people of Snow Pack around me were moving fast, they had the elderly and children staying in the centre of the fighters with regularity, forming a circle to surround them and the urgency made my heart quicken. "Is this what Jace calls a rogue invasion?"

Without engaging in too much thought, as I reached the Snow Pack gate I saw that Jace had long since stood guard.

The reflected glow of sharp teeth came from below as the rogues circled quickly up the hill, having long since transformed into wolves, their eyes filled with ferocity and playfulness.

A tense atmosphere seemed to envelop the entire Snow Pack, but I was suddenly relieved to see the scene below.

There were less than two hundred of these rogues, and although their expressions were ferocious, rogues were only rogues after all, and there was a difference between them and those warriors who followed orders to the letter. With the power I possessed in my bloodline, I was perfectly capable of defeating these rogues, for these Snow Pack men were considered my friends and I could not afford to watch them fall into such a crisis.

"Otis, as a guest of our Snow Pack, I can't let you be put in danger, stand behind me and the warriors later!"

A sudden serious voice came from in front of me and I felt a warm force grab my arm, then my body was driven backwards by this force.

"Jace, you don't have to worry about me, you know I'm strong, I can help you with these hooligans."

I looked at him with some dismay, but he didn't stop his movements.

"No, we can't think of asking for your help in something like this, and this time we're fighting mostly for defence!"

"Defence?"

I looked around at the hundred or so warriors and froze, the Snow Pack were no less powerful than these rogues, so why not just fight them.

"Yes, these rogues are madmen who do not care about death, it is not cost effective for us to fight them, not to mention we must protect our people."

His voice echoed in my ears and I looked at the old men and children who were surrounded in the centre of the warriors and soon it all became clear.

Their eyes were filled with panic, anger, and anxiety, a mixture of emotions, and most obviously fear.

These incapable fighters were so weak that Snow Pack could not follow their thoughts and fight to save the pack's strength.

"Just hold them off and they'll soon retreat, not to mention how, as a man, I can let a woman fight in front of me!"

Jace gave me another serious look, that sense of duty and determination as a man that caused something to fluctuate within me.

His voice echoed in my ears and instead of resisting his strength again, I stepped into the crowd.

I certainly couldn't watch them in danger, but I didn't necessarily have to attack now, it was fine to help when the battle began.

These good wolves, I could never let them be put in danger.

"Snow Pack, time to turn in your supplies or I don't mind killing a dozen more!"

Suddenly I saw the figures stop not far from Snow Pack, and a ferocious and confident voice appeared in its place.

"Turn in? You're dreaming, you're going back to wherever you came from!"

Jace growled as he looked at the figures, standing in front of all the Snow Pack and quickly transforming into a wolf.

"Jace, your wooden like head is still so stubborn, becoming a vassal of my Moon God family sooner would not have required such a troublesome battle with us."

With a teasing voice, a strong figure appeared among these rogues, followed by seven or eight other wolves with similar appearances.

They were covered in grey fur mixed with white, and those white pelts looked like eerie lines twisting around their bodies, capable of making people feel uncomfortable just by looking at them.

"Jace, look at the white on our fur, we are all descendants of the Moon God, to disobey us is to disobey the will of the gods, you will pay for your stupidity!"

"I find it hilarious that you hooligans dare to call yourselves descendants of the gods, I think the descendants of the moon gods are all bullshit!"

"Ignorant."

The leader of the rogues at the front of the pack gave a provocative smile, then he waved his paw and a hundred or so rogues behind him approached Snow Pack quickly. "Since you won't hand it in, we'll come and get it ourselves, what a pathetic bunch, unable to even guard their own supplies in order to protect some weakling."

I listened to the jeering voices of the rogues and watched as Jace clenched his fist but couldn't make a move, my heart beat faster once again.

All Jace could do to protect his people was to stand dead in the square in front of the wolves, watching with open eyes as the wolves' belongings were taken from them. There was nothing they could do to stop the rogues, for once they left the square, the clan, without the ability to fight, would be slaughtered by the rogues.

With the Snow Pack's strength there was no way to protect the clan while leaving their hands free to deal with the rogues.

The taste of the inferior black bread they ate seemed to reappear in my mouth; they were good wolves, yet they lived like slaves.

At the thought, the power of my blood flowed through my body as if burning, and I placed my backpack full of snow elves next to me, and then I walked towards the front. They had no way to deal with these rogues, but I could.

"Descendants of the Moon God? I think it's just a bunch of bastards!"

With me looking at the leader of the rogues at the front with a provocative gesture, the air seemed to suddenly fall silent.

"Do you woman even know what you're talking about, Jace, haven't you ever taught your people that talking nonsense can cost you your life!"

A voice full of anger came from the front, the leader of the rogues gave me an icy look then turned his head to look at Jace.

"I'm not talking nonsense, all of you who claim to have the bloodline of the Moon God are actually a bunch of weaklings who can't even deal with me alone." "Can't deal with a weak woman like you?"

Suddenly these people looked at each other, followed by another series of laughter that exploded among the rogues as if a stone had fallen on the water.

"This scrawny woman actually calls us weak, does she even know what he's up against."

"We are descendants with the bloodline of the Moon God, even the Alpha of those powerful wolves wouldn't dare to be arrogant in front of me, has this woman lost her mind?" "Laughing makes me feel a pain in my stomach, is this woman here to tell us a joke?"

"Otis, what are you doing."

Suddenly Jace's anxious voice came from behind me, and he grabbed my hand as if to get me back.

"There are over a hundred of them, even if you are strong, you can't deal with them, we Snow Pack have to protect the clan, we don't have the means to fight them head on." His voice carried some of your tension and worry, but I turned my head at that moment and gave him a serious look.

"Trust me on this one."

"Otis......"

Jace seemed to be about to say something else, but when he looked at my gaze he froze for a moment, then he pulled his power back and his voice with some worry echoed in my ears. "Keep yourself safe and don't get caught up in the danger."

I nodded and then looked to the leader of the rogues voice intensified.

"Am I wrong, as far as I know in the north there once lived a White Pack, their fur was all white and they did bear some resemblance to the legendary descendants of the Moon God, but their power was very weak, and the white I see on you all comes from this pack."

As I finished, suddenly the laughter ceased, and the rogue chief's face produced a great change at that moment, surprise filling his eyes, and he grinned his mouth menacingly, his body crouching slightly towards the ground, as if ready to strike at any moment. "How do you know, no...... you woman shut up!"

The leader of the rogues seemed to be poked where it hurts, some blood slowly appeared inside his eyes, then he started waving his claws wildly.

"Don't bother with the supplies, first shut this woman up and I'll make her die in front of me!"

The rogues in front of me began to stir before my eyes and I watched as a smile appeared on the corners of my mouth as the rogues charged towards me.

The difference between these rogues and the Dusk Pack warriors was so great that I didn't even need to be too serious in dealing with them.

A silvery white light flashed before my eyes, and as soon as the rogues were about to reach me, I had transformed into a wolf and weaved through the gaps between them.

"Tainted with some of the White Pack's bloodline, to call yourselves descendants of the Moon God, your feeble strength has proven you to be a lie!"

My tone gradually lightened as I slashed my claws across the bodies of these rogues, I didn't even feel too much of a hindrance, I was able to kill them easily with just some proper strength.

Blood splattered out in front of my eyes, killing intent brewing in my heart as my face turned progressively colder.

Their corpses would be the sustenance of their pride.
