Alpha’s Slave Luna
Chapter 116

Otis's POV:

"Found it, it's a snow elf!"

That whiteness seemed to be unadulterated white, and I smelled the sweet scent brought by the wind and quickly transformed into a human being, leaping and running towards the white.

Those soft snow wrapped around the soles of my feet and I squinted my eyes as I crouched, my pupils contracting rapidly in such an intense light, until my pupils adjusted to the light that was reflected from them before I opened my eyes wide.

"Otis, is this what the attending doctor called a snow sprite, what a magical plant, it's beautiful just like the ones described in fairy tales."

Eda made an astonished sound in my mind, I didn't answer her words as I too was captivated by the beautiful gesture of this flower, I looked at this beautiful flower and all my words were held in my mind.

My wolves were saved.

The beautiful flower in front of me was the antidote to save the wolves, I just needed to gather them enough.

The stirring in my heart was like the sudden appearance of a shooting star in the sky, and my heart was filled with joy and amazement at such a sight.

The white and floral scent surrounded me in the centre, and in this sea of flowers near the top of the mountain, it was as if I had entered some kind of illusion, and if it hadn't been for this too blinding sunlight, I would have been absolutely lost inside this beautiful scenery.

I couldn't use any more time, I needed to get my people back to a healthy state sooner.

The thought quickly sobered me up and I took the parcel made of leather off my back and began picking the flowers.

The lush white covered a large area and two hundred was not a large number, and as I was about to fill my pack it seemed as if the whiteness around me had not changed much and perhaps when I came back here again more flowers would grow. "Two hundred flowers, that's enough."

I just needed to say goodbye to my newfound friends one more time and I could go back to the Blue-moon Pack.

Smiling at the thought, I stood up from the ground as I took a snow elf in my hand and proceeded to walk quickly towards the bottom of the hill.

The forest in the distance was at the bottom of the mountain in front of me, they seemed to be a sea of green and every time the wind blew, those leaves shook neatly like the tumbling of the waves.

I looked at the open sky and earth in front of me, and the world seemed to be at my feet as I jumped and ran, and I put that snow sprite to my nose and watched its spreading flowering branches and green leaves, and smelt that one particular sweet smell, and my heart seemed to follow its scent and become pure.

The descent was far easier than the ascent, I jumped nimbly from rock to rock, ran through the grass and in just a short time I could see the outline of the Snow Pack buildings.

It was time for me to say goodbye to them.

I looked away from Snow Pack, but the very next moment my pupils widened.

I could see the dense black shadows advancing from the foot of the hill towards it, a menacing aura coming from afar.

Rascals!

Conrad's POV:

"Alpha Conrad, I didn't expect it to be you who came to deliver our medicine in person, my wife is saved!"

The frail voice reached my ears and I looked at the two men in the room with a little shudder in my heart.

Their faces were both pale as the man of the two helped the woman on the bed to her feet and looked at me with a light in his eyes.

I remembered that this was once a warrior I had personally trained, and the woman next to him was his wife.

This warrior used to have a strong body, but after contracting the plague, severe dehydration had shrivelled up his muscles so much that he now looked like a man carved out of wood. "Don't say too much more, you guys drink these potions."

I did my best to keep my seriousness and composure and handed him the cup filled with the potion, which he immediately passed to the mouth of the woman on the bed without any hesitation. "Drink it quickly, it is the antidote that Alpha Conrad brought us, we will soon be saved."

He said as he allowed his wife to drink some of the potion before he then began to drink it himself, his gaze always on his wife, the light in those eyes pure as if there was no dirt.

"Remember to drink a little more water next, and keep reasonably well rested, and these potions should make you comfortable."

I watched as their faces seemed to improve and the vertigo almost disappeared, my heart lightened a little and then I turned towards the door.

The cart was in the corner of the doorway, the glass jug of potion on the cart already half empty, and I rested my hand on the handle of the cart as I gazed ahead at the building.

While those new warriors had provided much of the work force for the Blue-moon Pack, the large number of infected was also still putting a lot of pressure on the pack as a whole, and I needed to help the staff with potions for the infected.

The Moon God blessed Otis, and as soon as she brought the Snow Fairy back to the Blue-moon Pack, the attending doctor could make an antidote that would completely solve all the plagues.

I thought silently in my mind as I pushed on with the cart, but some sudden glances made me turn my head.

"This child......

I saw the figure peeking around the corner of the road, watching me, who seemed to be hesitating about something but never acted.

I raised an eyebrow at this and proceeded to walk in the direction the gaze was coming from.

"Nair, what are you looking at here?"

"Alpha Conrad! I ......"

He seemed startled at the sound of my voice and he nervously tried to adjust his tone, but his voice still trembled.

I couldn't help but smile at his appearance, after drinking the antidote the boy had recovered quickly, in just one day he had completely shed his pallor and weakness and looked just a little thinner than before, it probably wouldn't be long before he was back to a healthy state.

I had to admit that the boy was very cute indeed and with that blonde hair almost the same colour as mine, I remembered what he called Otis and this time I stroked his head.

"Nair, don't be nervous, you can just call me brother Conrad, like you do Otis."

I did my best to soften my tone and it proved to have some effect, Nair's eyes brightened at this point and he didn't look as nervous anymore.

"Brother Conrad, I want to help the wolves deliver the antidote too."

"Of course you can, the wolves need help now."

"But the doctors say I'm too young and not very strong, they won't let me help......."

I paused for a moment at the sound of his voice, and as I looked at his thin frame, I quickly understood why those doctors had refused his help.

He didn't have the means to push the cart that transported the substance and he was too young for the doctors to feel comfortable leaving the job to him.

"Nair, it doesn't matter if you're weak, you can follow me."

I smiled and once again stroked his head with my big hand.

"You'll just help me fill the glass jug with the potion in the cup next to it and go into the housing with me to comfort the infected if you can." "Brother Conrad! I'll finish it properly!"

Nair said as he excitedly followed me, seemingly because he was so happy a blush was starting to appear on his face, looking like a ripe apple.

"Come on, we have a lot of clan homes to go to."

I shook my head and continued to push the cart towards the front, but a fast running figure in the distance made me frown a little.

"Clare, are you back at the wolf pack now because of some urgent information."

"Alpha Conrad, there's been a change in the Dusk Pack!"

Clare's face was serious as she handed me a paper in her hand.

"Just last night, I observed a strong and terrifying werewolf arrive at the Dusk Pack, here's a picture I took!"

Clare spoke with a tremor within his voice, as if he had seen a horror he had not seen before.

"The werewolf was almost nine feet tall, much bigger than a bear, and his body was filled with muscles that looked like iron, he didn't even look like a werewolf, but a monster!" Clare's performance brought an answer to my mind and I couldn't help but clench my fists as I looked at the figure with the crimson hair in the picture.

"Kazan!"
