Alpha’s Slave Luna
Chapter 121

Otis's

POV:

"Otis, why don't you keep running, just give up?"

"The kyra warlord is here, there are so many of us, not to mention her being a woman, even a bird couldn't fly out from inside our siege!"

"I wonder what Conrad's face will be when he finds out his mate has been taken by us."

The jeering voices reached my ears as the strong woman in the forefront scanned my body with her sharp, knife-like eyes, surrounded in almost all directions by Dusk Pack warriors, the gap between each Dusk Pack warrior not even three feet. The pressure around me pounded like a wave, a scene that reminded me of the difficult scene when Conrad and I faced the Grey Pack encirclement, but I didn't move my body.

Luna, I need your strength, I need to use your power to break through the obstacles before me, I must get back to my pack!

I prayed in my heart, while controlling my body with all my might, gathering all my strength in my limbs.

My breathing gradually became laboured, my blood flowed twice as fast in no time at all, my muscles began to tremble with the sheer power, and as my body reached its limits once more, I felt a silver glint in my eyes. It was now!

Without any further hesitation, my body surpassed the limit in a flash, accompanied by the dirt of the ground cracking under my feet, and my body was through the wind.

"Otis? Why has that woman suddenly disappeared!"

"What's going on, what the hell did she do!"

"No, she mustn't be allowed to escape......"

The murmur of voices reached my ears and then disappeared within a very short time.

It was as if the world had turned back to silence, as if everyone had been enchanted to slow down, I could even make out the shaking of every fur on their bodies, the gaps between them formed a chart in my eyes and I was able to discern the direction of the flow of the wind between them.

O wind, follow my will and lead me out of here.

I called out in my mind as the bodies of the Dusk Pack warriors kept flickering before my eyes, I walked through all the gaps between them, I could see their mouths opening slowly, but their voices could not keep up with the wind around me.

I didn't know what they were shouting, I couldn't hear their voices anymore, all I could see were their incredulous eyes as they searched around with their eyes wide open, but the speed at which their eyeballs were turning was too slow.

I overtook the sound with terminal speed and before they could turn their heads I had broken through the dense black shadow.

The slow world flowed around me and time seemed to be slowed down, such a wonderful feeling that I felt as if I was travelling through a tunnel of time and space, and within the time it took me a few thoughts, the Dusk Pack's legions were far behind me. "Otis, we got out, we really got out, we need to get back to the pack now while we can!"

I listened to my wolf's voice, but I didn't answer her, all my strength was focused on my body, in such a state I had to concentrate all my willpower to control my body.

Conrad, wait for me, at the rate I'm going, I'll be able to get back to the pack in an hour!

The environment ahead was changing rapidly, in just ten minutes I had crossed hundreds of miles and perhaps the only thing that could catch me was the light of the sun.

At this speed all sound was left behind me and the only thing I could hear was the growl of voices coming from inside me.

In this extreme silence, the sounds inside me were rapidly amplified, the sound of fur rubbing together, the sound of my throat rolling, the sound of violent breathing, countless subtle sounds roaring madly inside my ears.

The flow of my blood seemed to be a rushing river and I could hear them raging.

My heart beat as if it were a bell ringing in my ears, and she had long been beating twice as fast as usual, as if it were a running motor.

All I had to do was maintain this and no creature would be able to catch me, and I would surely be able to hold on until I got back to the wolves.

I just had to hold on a little longer.

I mused, but suddenly a tearing pain interrupted this thought, it came from every direction of my body, as if the demon fulfilling the contract was devouring my flesh, blood and soul.

No, I was still some distance away from the wolves, so why was the pain kicking in at this time.

I had held on longer in the first place!

At such an overload of speed, every muscle I rubbed felt like steel clashing, I could feel my body breaking down and it took more willpower to maintain my speed.

"Otis, I can feel it, our bodies have truly reached their limits, you can't keep running!"

My wolf growled anxiously as she tried to control my body to stop, but I refused her at this point.

"Eda, no, we have to get back to the wolves, I know the state I'm in, if I stop now I'll be absolutely paralyzed on the ground!"

I said as I looked ahead my eyes became sharper.

"Being paralysed inside a forest like this would definitely lead to the path of death, even if I wasn't found by the Dusk Pack warriors I would probably die in the mouths of the beasts!" "You'll probably die if you keep running!"

"I will surely die if I don't continue!"

Eda was silent at this point and I looked firmly ahead in the direction where my wolves were.

I ran with all my willpower, the intense pain was intensifying, I could feel my bloodline trying to repair my body but the repairs were not catching up with the rate of collapse.

I need to hold on, I just need to hold on for a little while longer, I just need to be able to see the shadow of my wolf pack.

I just need to hold on for a little while longer......

The power that my thoughts turned into was churning madly, but a kind of blurred fog that seemed like a cobweb appeared on the corneas of my eyes.

My mind was a blur of consciousness at this moment, and my attempts to control my body were becoming increasingly impotent!

No, my body!

Suddenly my front limbs are the first to lose strength in this moment, my balance is receding fast and my body falls out uncontrollably towards the front under the force of inertia!

The sounds around me returned and I exited that wonderful world where the sky and the ground were spinning and suddenly there was another sharp pain and I found my body impacting on a large tree in front of me. "Otis no, how can we how can we fall here!"

My wolf let out a miserable howl, the excruciating pain seemed to drive my wolf crazy with it, I felt the fishy and sweet tasting blood flowing out of my mouth, all my muscles and insides were shaking and I couldn't even move now. "I'm almost to the wolves, I'm just a little closer.....

The blood seemed to flow backwards inside my veins as I watched the leaves that were slowly drifting down because of my impact gradually despair.

The blood in my eyes mixed with the green of the leaves as I looked steadfastly in the direction of where my wolves were, and I was looking at it with my last consciousness. "Couldn't I finally bring the snow elves back ......?"

The abyss of despair seemed to appear behind me, and just as the blurred mist was about to obscure my eyes, I opened them as wide as I could.

For I saw the familiar figure in the distance.

Conrad......

The moment before I lost consciousness, my despair vanished.
