Anything For You -
Chapter 102
~IN THE PAST~
Since, Valor wasn't able to open up his mind, so, Evanora was left with the only choice of taking them both to his past. To dive into the memories of a person, you need to get them clear their mind. If not so, it could only put the concerned one to risk. It was a different situation with Egon and Estella. They were determined, and had been waiting for that moment, almost all of their lives. But. Valor was different. He didn't think of anything like that prior to his visit in the Tribal area. He was determined too, but not able to open up. For him, the grief of losing a loved one was so much, that his mind had sealed off the memories in an unconscious part of it. Hence, the only way out of that was magical time travel. And a witch like Evanora can do anything.
Reaching the desired place, Evanora came to her real senses and explored the surroundings. Her eyes were nearly struck at the one place, glaring through everything around her. While Valor was looking like he was drugged. He wasn't in his proper senses, may be due to the long and hectic travel across time. It was something new to him, and his body was just reacting to it.
Evanora helped valor sit aside, while she continued moving here and there, in search of something, that could make her understand the fact that exactly where they had been landed. Because around her everything was totally white and plain. No, it wasn't the feeling of a hospital or something like that, bit it was something divine and pure.
She was able to feel her body and mind getting calmed and relaxed, with each passing moment. The more she was staying there, the more her heart was resting soundly. What place could exactly it be? Everything was white. The ground was perfectly covered with a thick and pearly layer of white snow. All the trees, plants, herbs, shrubs, everything was so white, that she started to feel as if she had landed in heaven.
Indeed, it was way more soothing. If this wasn't heaven, then nothing could be. But she noticed something else too. As she moved ahead, she looked over the ground on which her footprints got embarked. But the next moment, it got blended again, making her gasp.
Back then, when she was little child, she had heard from her mother that heaven is the most beautiful place. It is all white, with white snow, white trees, white surroundings, large fruits and so much beauty. The clouds were everywhere, like she was floating in the sky, yet she could feel the ground beneath her boots. Her eyes started to sparkle with hopes and desires.
There must be someone or something, which could help her feeling what exactly that place was. She wanted to enquire about this from Valor, but his condition was still not very stable and hence, she dropped the idea.
Walking further, she found the whole surroundings to be an endless abyss in which she would surely get drowned if not found a way out. She tried using magic to clear the path, and to see what lies beyond the snow, if there was anything, but in vain. Now, it was a dead sure fact that she was nowhere other than heaven. Did it mean, she died while travelling! Oh No! How could it be possible. Her mind was going insane thinking all these things and now the only way left out of this was asking valor. Approaching him further, she slapped his cheeks slightly, in order to make him conscious. But he was still baffled and dazed. This time, she slapped him all the force pulling him out of trance and waking his soul up. He rubbed his face hardly after getting slapped way too harder and looked at her with poor gaze like a kid who just got a good beating from his mother.
"I think, now you are back to the reality. And get your a*s up fastly, and tell me exactly where we have landed?" Evanora almost yelled at him with all the frustration which was piled up inside her.
Valor took a note of everything and realized what had happened. Did he really travelled in time! Oh crap! This witch had some dangerous powers which sent him the strong idea that, he should never mess up with her. Sensing his surroundings, the past memories flas hed through his mind, and his eyes welled up immediately.
Hauling up from the cold snowy ground, he looked in all the possible directions as if trying to find something or probably someone, which Evanora wasn't able to understand at all. Before he could say or do anything else, the lady's another question buzzed in his
ears,
"Mr. Valor, could you please explain it to me? What is this place? And why is there nobody? And ...(picking up some snow from the ground in her soft palms), why don't I feel cold even after holding this snow? Is this all real or some daze?? Also, I can't use magic here!?"
All these questions were like the bullets which were fired almost all in one go at Valor's confused mind. He paid little attention to her questions and continued moving his gaze towards the far away directions to find someone. Evanora had been registering all his expressions which were changing even faster than speed of light.
'What is he doing?' she thought inside her mind, not understanding what that man was searching for! Sighing up, she knew this was of no use to ask him anything. He himself was in trance. Then how would he be explaining the things to her. But the other moment, she was proven wrong, when Valor spoke up haughtily,
"It's my homeland, Fairyland. I was born here, and this was the place which I loved the most. But now, it's the place which I despise the most." He briefed everything in just two sentences, and it was enough for Evanora to know that something really hurting and bad must have happened to him here. Or else, nobody despises his/her homeland like valor did.
Now, it was a dead sure fact that she was nowhere other than heaven. Did it mean, she died while travelling! Oh No! How could it be possible. Her mind was going insane thinking all these things and now the only way left out of this was asking valor.
He still was struck on the same spot and his gaze was continuously wandering around, still searching someone, but there wasn't even a single soul. Sighing in helplessness, he hastily approached her and asked,
"Can we... can we go inside the northern mountains? I feel ... I will get to see her once again there. Please!"
At this moment, Evanora wasn't aware about whom he had talking. So, before agreeing to his demands and requests of wandering in that unknown place, she wanted to be sure about the safety, since her magic also wasn't working here.
Quickly closing her eyes, she used her soul power and gazed into Valor's mind. But didn't find anything reliable. Then, she heard him talking inside her head to someone and that someone was none other than the snake-girl, Estella. They both had been sitting inside a tribal room, talking to each other, where valor looked really pathetic.
Actually, she dived into his mind. And it was now possible because he was way more calmer than before. She immediately eavesdropped their conversation, in which valor told Estella about his past. He was lovelorn, and his lover died. He wasn't in search of her, but calmness and peace. But when he heard about Egon talking to Akhim about meeting a witch, his hopes went up the sky and the desire to see and to feel his lover rose up in his subconscious mind taking over all the senses.
Knowing the truth, now Evanora was relaxed and she knew what she had to do. Since, she was here to help him, and they both couldn't get out of this snowy place until she helped him and he got what he desired, they would be struck here only. Then why not give it a shot!
Opening her eyes slowly, she found the man ahead her looking at her like he was trying to read her soul. He was himself a lost soul and was in dire need of a shelter, a place he could call his. Evanora decided to agree and it was also an advantage that he belonged to this place. So, in case of any dangers, he would be of help. And who knows, what would she be encountering here too? Moreover, you don't get a chance to visit the rumored land of fairies everyday!
With all these thoughts, her lips curved up slightly forming into a sweet and calm smile, which was more than enough of an indication fro valor to know that she had agreed. Without waiting for her to say anything, he almost dragged her along with him towards the uppermost peak of the snowy mountains with all his hopes held high and the desires talking over his mind, body and soul. His happiness had no leaps and bounds, because he was sure that he would be able to see her, his one and only friend, his love. With a faint and calm smile, he mumbled the words,
"I am coming, love."
