Anything For You
Chapter 114

"I need to tell this to Valor. If he knows this, he will be able to help me. But, if he got to know what I want, he ... he will never ever help me. Aahhh... what should I do now?" Evanora was talking to herself, wrestling with her thoughts. One side she wanted to tell this truth to valor that his little rat was none other that Estella, who was his friend, but at the other side, she wanted Estella's powers, and if Valor came to know this, he would never let her do this.

"Forget it. First I need to inform Valor. If he is also aware about this, may be he can stop Estella from leaving." She changed her mind for a split second and then decided to involve Valor into it. Moving her fingers fastly, she performed a spell and there appeared a paper sparrow once again, but the color was studded green, like the snake craving over that magical pot.

Unfolding the paper sparrow, she wrote something over it and incorporated the snake Craving on to it also, and then signaled it to fly away delivering the message to Valor. Now all she had to do was just to wait, for Valor's message back or his arrival. Here in the rest house, Egon was done packing his essentials, while the urn was kept aside. He was looking over the artifact again and again, hoping to find something else belonging to his father, when Akhim stepped inside the room, closing the door slowly behind. This caught Egon's attention, and he fixed his sitting posture and resumed doing the things.

"Your Majesty, why do I feel like, you are reluctant to leave? Everything is done now, the why are you seeming so restless!" Akhim asked him politely taking a sit closer to his bed side, patting his shoulder. Though his words carried politeness and respect for his king, but they also were worrisome, as a father worried for his child.

"I don't know Akhim. It feels like something is not correct. I can't let go of father. I wish I would have talked to him once." Egon replied blankly, almost uttering the thoughts messing with his brain since many days. It was not hidden from Akhim's experienced eyes that Egon had been upset lately and was lost sometimes too. But he didn't know that this was bothering him.

Hauling up from the sit, he approached Egon from the side and made him turn towards him,

"I think it's time to let you know, son. I met your father some days ago. His soul, I mean. He left that day when you found the truth. He didn't want you to feel guilty. He want you to live happily, and he also said that if you ever come across anyone of the dead couple's family, please apologize from his behalf. He was really guilty to put you in this situation. Now is the time to let go, Egon. Brace yourself."

Akhim's words were assuring, yet commanding too. He wasn't only Egon's general, but his friend, consultant, and a father figure too, and he played a definitive role in that, since his father's demise. Understanding his words, Egon nodded his head and felt like a tons heavy stone was lifted over his heart. He felt light, and relaxed. Gesturing Akhim to go and have some rest, he requested him,

"Akhim, I want to go to Evanora alone tomorrow. Just wait while I come back and then we will leave. Also, I will try asking her to send a letter to our soldiers on my behalf that we are safe and sound, and are coming back soon." As soon as those words left his lips, Akhim's eyes and face beamed with a satisfactory smile, and he just nodded before leaving.

On the other side, Valor was pacing back and forth in his room, thinking something, when someone knocked over the side window of his room. First he didn't pay any attention to it, but again bearing the same sound, his eyes darted towards that particular direction, and he found the same talking sparrow, but it was green in color. Looking over it closely, he understood who would have sent it.

Approaching the sparrow fastly, he opened the window to let it slide inside. The creature immediately stepped inside and laid over the bed like a flat paper. Narrowing his eyebrows, Valor murmured to himself, "What is this now?"

Taking the paper in his hands, he looked over the contents, and found that there was a message written over it, while at the end, it was printed a green snake. Strangle, it resembled with Estella's snake form. His fingers moved faster, and he read the contents to get just shocked.

"Valor, I have talked to the fairy spirit using the fairy dust. She told me everything about her spirit shreds and what I found was most shocking. The second segment of her spirit is with none other than your friend Estella. Now, I want you to stop her from leaving at any cost, because of she left this time, we wouldn't be able to find her again. You know her truth, and many snake-charmers are waiting for a chance to attack her. So, try talking to her and don't let her leave. Meet me in the morning."

The contents of letter were making him dizzy. He read it again and again to assure himself that what he read was right. Could it be that, Evanora was mistaken somehow! But she clearly mentioned that she talked to little rat's spirit. I have to stop Estella. He thought all that and folded the paper into several layers. He moved towards Estella's room ducking the paper into his pockets.

Estella, who was in her own thoughts, got started when she heard a hard knock over her door. Who could be so desperate to knock, like this and at this time! She hauled and opened the door, only to find Valor standing ahead of her, who didn't even wait for her to permit him, and entered inside the room, closing the door with a loud thud.

Before she could ask him anything, he caught her hands and dragged her towards him. She landed on his hard chest and his arms got wrapped tightly over her shoulders hugging her to the core. She was standing blankly, not understanding what was happening with him. Why he suddenly barged into her room, and hugged her.

"Ah, Valor, you are...suffocating me. I ... I can't breath." Valor who had been lost in her scent, calmed himself and regained his senses hearing her cracking voice. Leaving her, he looked here and there, not able to look into her eyes, while Estella puffed in a mouthful of air. Stabilizing herself, she raised her eyebrows in a questioning way, asking him,

"What happened? Why are you here suddenly? And why were you hugging me to death?" she shot all her questions to his face at once, while he just stood there admiring her features with a sweet smile, which looked cheeky to her. She was observing him, who was continuously darting into her features and her cheeks turned red in embarrassment, when she found the upper two buttons of her robe undone, exposing her white bosoms a little.

Turning in a swoosh, she arranged her clothes, and cursed him under her breath. But heard him pleading,

"Estella, please don't leave me this time."

Estella turned towards him only to find his face all teared up, while his eyes were beaming with God knows what, joy, sadness, hope or something else. She wasn't able to decipher the exact emotion from them. He was smiling and crying at the same time she got worried for him, and dragged him towards the nearby set of table. Making him sit calmly, she handed him a glass of water, which he guped in one go, still his eyes never leaving her face.

Valor handed the glass back to her, while heard her asking,

"Tell me, what happened?"

"Actually, Egon wants to leave tomorrow. And I still have to stay here. While you are also going to leave. I don't have any friends other than you two. For him, I can understand, he has to report to the king, and can't delay much. But Estella (holding her both hands in his palms tightly), we are friends. You promised me you would be there for me. Can't you stay back, please?" Valor briefed everything to her. He had already assumed that she didn't remember her previous life, because if she did, she would have recognised him. She was born again. But he was still the same. Moreover, he didn't want to reveal everything like this abruptly to her. Hence, he pleaded to her. She looked into his pleading eyes, and just remembered the words she told him back in the tribal house, and without any second thought nodded her head with a smile.

His happiness had no leaps and bounds. He was so contended that he ended up hugging her even more tightly, but when she patted his back, he left her scratching his head embarrassingly. Changing the topic, he questioned her, "But what would say to Egon then?"

"Don't worry. He will understand. Besides, I was his responsibility when we headed for this journey, but now I know my past, and I can take care of myself. I will not bother him anymore. Rest assured. No go back to your room, and have some rest." Valor nodded, and just when he was about to step out, she asked him,

"You found something about her. That's why, you are staying, right?" He didn't answer her back, just smiled and left.
